AEW All In returns to Wembley Stadium August 25th, 2024. TK also confirmed that once again, All Out 2024 will take place the very next week on Labor Day Weekend.

I know TK gets super comfortable going to certain locations, basically his safe places. I know Wembley did over 80,000 but much like the other shows, you got to do these shows in different venues across the country. All In doesn't need to be the London show, much like how Double or Nothing can be taken out of Vegas, etc.

On the bright side, now that I know All In will take place in London next year, I actually might go to that show and start planning for it now.

Once they don't start turning it into a Summerslam LA/Brooklyn situation where you could tell fans got bored quickly.

Sure you have tourists coming to bigger locations, but most people there are the fans who saw it the year before, and the year before.

One thing I would've changed is spacing out those two events. Just feels like All Out loses focus when you have a way bigger show literally the week prior.

That would be like WWE having a PPV the week after WM, featuring a mix of those who weren't on WM, or ones who just competed in a big match the week before.

They also announced a new October PPV, likely with heavy NJPW involvement.

My idea would be just doing a two night event at a different stadium each year. Call the Saturday Show, All In and the Sunday Show be all Out. Just do both on the same weekend and get it over with.

That would be overkill for sure.

One of the reasons HHH seems to love 2 night WMs (besides the obvious double revenue) is that shows both feel fresh and you don't have one that drags on. WMs have gone 3-4 hours each night now thanks to this, as opposed to a single 5-6 hour show!

If AEW did this, I don't think were seeing back to back nights of shows under 4 hours.

              Re: AEW Off-Topic

Just finished watching All In. Good show overall but most of the matches were simply not what I was hoping for. I can understand trying to get as much talent on the show as possible but would have preferred a 20 man battle royal and more single matches like Omega/White which I was hoping for instead of them being in a six man tag.

Surprised that The Elite got shut out especially Young Bucks because who knows what will happen with Wheeler and the last thing anyone wants to see if FTR being stripped of the titles and then interim tag team champions if it were to come to that.

Ospreay/Jericho was good and very happy Ospreay won. Hated the multiple finishes in the MJF/Cole match. It's like why can't they just have a great clean match with a clean finish? UGH.

Really really hoping Khan signs Mercedes Mone who was in the crowd at All In because outside of a few, the women's division is a joke.

Stadium and everything looked great but I wish the isle wasn't shortened and I didn't like the ringside setup at all. No room between the railing and the ring. Really wish for big events like this, AEW would copy NJPW where it's like 10-15 feet of space between the ring and the railing. Oh well.

And I go check to see if there's any news and gee, what a shock. Another fight/altercation involving CM Punk, this time with Jack Perry. Perry made a comment in his match with Hook about glass and then got into an altercation with Punk backstage before Punk's match which kicked off the PPV and they escorted Perry out of the building. At this point, I wish they would just release Punk outright. He's a shell of his former self, doesn't seem to be truly into it like he was two years ago and every time you turn around, there seems to be an issue and it almost always involves Punk.

EDIT: I know about Punk talking Perry out of a doing an angle with real glass which would be freaking stupid but at the same time, if guys want to do stupid crap, let them learn the hard way.

In regards to Mercedes, you also gave the very reason she shouldn't sign with AEW because their Women's division is a joke. Look at All In, literally put the only Women's Match immediately after a brutal Stadium Stampede match where the fans were clearly exhausted afterwards. It was treated as a "cool down" match, hell I think I saw someone say it got under 10 minutes. Where was Statlander?

A big stadium show and you can't even showcase Athena who is the ROH Women's Champion? Booking Women's Wrestling seems to be an issue for both AEW & WWE at the moment, except for Shawn Michaels who books the NXT Women better than both AEW & main roster WWE.

As for CM Punk, the one thing people have picked up on is how when these reports come out, it's always in favor of Punk. Like Punk's people are trying to get ahead and make him out to be the good guy in the situation. Punk has turned into a combination of 90's HBK and Hulk Hogan from a backstage perspective. It's not even the CM Punk stuff, like who backstage is leaking all this gossip right after it happens? It seems every week we hear about new backstage drama at AEW, like TK needs to get his locker room under control and figure out who the leaks are and fire them.

                  Re: AEW Off-Topic

Overall loved the show. Was a last second decision to buy it. It was very much a "put smiles on people's faces" type spectacle show. Not much in the way of trying to put on 5 star New Japan clinics.

Take****a's entrance and theme (if you can even call it music) made me laugh hard. With that painting up on screen. What the hell, lol. I love it.

MJF/Cole as the main event at Wembley on paper a year ago feels like a so-so way to close the show, but the angle is as hot as anything in wrestling tbh. MJF is a great storyteller.

Bucks/FTR felt like it was going to be just a solid match halfway through, but then they put in some brilliant false finishes (an AEW specialty), and it ended up being great. Another example of allowing wrestlers do what they do best, be creative in the ring.

This stadium Stampede really amped up the violence, with less of the backstage vignette type stuff from previous ones. It stood out to me how much abuse and bad bumps Trent took. He was beat to hell. And I was glad they gave Eddie Kingston his "here comes Eddie" moment. I needed that.

The coffin match was pure fun, with some just plain humorous moments. The ending with Swerve getting his hands crushed by the lid was great. But I popped the most for the pre-match Jack the Ripper Sting vignette.

The women's match was worth watching for the dynamic between Toni Storm and Saraya. Pure entertainment.

The Acclaimed winning, again, just felt right and good. The announcers trying to put over that Billy Gunn was BadAss and not DaddyAss felt weird to me because even as Bad *** Billy Gunn in WWE he was never really just a straight forward tough guy heel. Is House of Black even over with the audience? Idk. Maybe it's just not my thing.

I was surprised at how well Jericho kept up with Ospreay, given that he is 22 years older than him. Keeping that in mind, it was a solid match. This card needed a straight forward singles match as a balance, so it worked.

Punk/Joe had its moments, but it felt a bit overshadowed by the rest of the card.

                    Re: AEW Off-Topic

It was a good show. I had a great time watching with a buddy that loves pro wrestling too.

I thought CM Punk/Samoa Joe or Adam Cole/MJF were the match of the night.

FTR/Young Bucks was good, but I can imagine the IWC/AEW marks will claim it was the "greatest tag match ever."

Only knock I had on the show was too many multi - man matches, not enough women's matches (congrats to Saraya winning in England [emoji1490][emoji1490][emoji1490]), and that overly bloody (Moxley is a masochist masquerading as a pro wrestler, IMHO), cluster**** of a match known as "Stadium Stampede" needs to go away.

It was cool during the pandemic when empty arenas and 'cinematic' matches were all we had. Yet, I think we can get back to telling stories in the ring (hoorah MJF & Adam Cole) and less goofy/bloody ****fests.

Plus, Will Ospreay is an incredible wrestler. I get why people love his high - risk, "flippy dippy" style especially mixed in with all the hard hitting Japanese strong-style stuff. I liked seeing him with an older guy that works a slower, more methodical style to his own.

Jericho was doing a good job of "keeping up" (so to speak) with Ospreay, but he clearly ran out of gas by the end (when he started botching stuff).

It could go either way, TBH. He got in a worse altercation - we can argue all day if he was the instigator or was it the Elite - was only suspended, then got his 'own' show so that him and the Elite can be apart.

I'd be shocked if Tony cuts him loose, but it doesn't seem like Punk is gonna ever be able to just 'be cool' anywhere he works.

Also, LOL that Perry saying "real glass, cry about it" to the camera incited another altercation. The same guy that "disrespected" the Undertaker and Tony Altas has such a fragile ego that some young, green punk throwing a little shade works him up.

It's not so much that this incident was worse, it's the fact that it's another incident, basically 2 months after he returned after being off for a year due to injury/suspension, and around the same time as the incident last year.

Forgot to mention: Nigel McGuiness was awesome. Guinely funny throughout, especially when backing the heels.

He does overdo it a bit with the clearly rehearsed and written out lines, but that is more of a British commentator thing that we hear every week on English football commentary.

                              I get that, Maj.

It is clear as day that Punk is thin skinned, but also extremely opinionated (while also thinking at times too highly of himself), so petty/trivial issues like this are going to happen.

He's had locker room issues every damn place he's worked for a reason.

Tony Khan needs to either drop the proverbial hammer (fire Punk) or step up and lead his locker room.

What do you think are the chances he does either of those? I’ll be generous and say 0.1%
