Re: AEW Discussion Thread
The interview with Cody is really good, he's really well spoken and I'm excited for Saturday.
He said this show is a show by wrestlers for the fans and because of that, it will have surprises on Saturday. The biggest names rumored have been Austin Aries, Jon Moxley, and CM Punk. I would bet Aries or Moxley, CM Punk seems like if they actually did get a deal with him, they would save him for around their TV debut.Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
He said they aren't going the "live event" route with their product, which to me means no house shows. Makes sense because I don't think they could run 3-4 shows per week right off the bat and expect big crowds. WWE can't even do that anymore, and they have way way more exposure and history. It also means most of their talent will be able to work indie shows. I like it.Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
How AEW will crown their first World Champion.....
On the final episode of Cody Rhodes’ The Road To Double Or Nothing YouTube series (embedded above), we learn that the winner of Casino Battle Royal on The Buy In pre-show will face the winner of the pay-per-view (PPV) main event between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho for the new AEW World title.By the time Double Or Nothing is over, we’ll know who the two men fighting for the new belt will be.
So Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley?Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
To counter my last point though, maybe since the pre-show is free, if they do have a big surprise like Moxley, maybe that would actually increase the buyrate? Trying to figure out their angle here...Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Don't worry Adam Page is gonna be the winner of the Battle Royal. And the whole "I'm not going to be on the card" deal kinda seals it for me.Comment

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
It's pretty interesting they are going that route. You would think it'd be a big name in the battle royal to win, but at the same time would you have a big name surprise debut on your pre-show?

Re: AEW Discussion Thread
Don't know if this was shared already or not, but Xfinity was 1000% using WWE2K Create-an-Arena for their Double or Nothing order screen.
