Radford wins an ugly game at home by the final score of 64-59.
Radford was led by Sophomore SG Sammy Coleman who came off the bench and scored a team high 13 points on 4/6 shooting, 1/1 from behind the 3 point arc, and 4/4 from the free throw line. Coleman also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. Freshman SG Kenny Andrews came pretty close to a double double as he finished with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Senior C Bud Mann chipped in 9 points off the bench while Sophomore PF Cordell Darden chipped in 8 points off the bench.
Not one High Point player finished in double figures in scoring. High Point was led by Junior PF Lowell Strong who came extremely close to a double double with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Junior PG J.C. Lenzly came off the bench and scored 9 points on 3/8 shooting in just 18 minutes of playing time. Senior SG Hakeem Malone was held to 8 points on 3/10 shooting and he turned the ball over 7 times. Malone did have 5 assists and 2 steals on the game though.
