Look at the Pistons! The Clippers are indeed blowing it up and doing solid trades -- all those lovely picks will be worth something to someone (maybe even them) as the team tries to retool.

Interesting expansion team addition, solid infrastructure there it seems. With all the cruise liner activity, an NBA team should be a big attraction.
    Any comments are welcome.

Seesh Deandre Jordan is having a great year scoring the ball, if he can keep that up he's looking like a superstar

I want another shot at the Pistons in the playoffs I want revenge. The Clippers should be in store for a interesting offseason. I am very excited about my 1st expansion team I still haven't found a good 2nd team.

Yea DJ somehow had a big jump in points this year I guess its because the other highly rated players was hurt. I ended up not trading him at the deadline as I couldn't find a team that fit. With Griffin out for the year they should still lose enough games to have a top 8 pick. I will look at trading him in the offseason and if he can keep up his scoring should help his trade value as more then just a salary dump.

I will have a lot more updates today so stay tuned

          Trade Alert

          Hornets 25-38 (10th in west)
          Pelicans 32-21 (4th in west)

The Pelicans looked around and tried to make a bigger move just couldn't find a team looking to trade a star. They end up adding depth at SF with a low risk move. Bojan Bogdanovic will stay the starter and MKG will help with defense on the 2nd unit. The SG & SF spots are still weak spots longterm atleast now there is a lot of depth with Bazmore, Bogdanovic, MKG, Moore, Clark and 2nd year player Brown. The Pelicans are currently 2nd in defense so that's a big reason why they are 11 games over .500 and MKG is one of the better wing defenders in the NBA he just offers nothing on offense.

The Hornets aren't a terrible team, but still aren't going to make the playoffs. They have no depth at PF & C and 4 SF's that need minutes. They wanted to find a way to bring in a another big or trade Batum's contract and was unable to find one. Instead they swap expiring deals and pick up a future 2nd. Isaac Bonga (81 ovr) has really improved and is the future at SF so MKG wasn't going to be brought back.

          Trade Alert

          Trailblazers 33 -23 (5th in west)
          Hawks 22-31 (12th in east)

The Hawks are once again on the outside of the playoffs after bringing In Veteran Jordan Clarkson and a healthy year from all the young guys. Delladova wasn't getting minutes as Schroder made the all star team and they have Isaiah Quickly (rookie top 10 pick). You get a 2nd round pick for a player that wasn't seeing any minutes a low risk move for the Hawks. Harkless is on the final year of his contract.

The Trailblazers flirted with the idea of brining in Deandre Jordan and decided to stick with the squad they have. A major hole they had was at both backup G spots and Delly can come in and fill that role. The minutes that Harkless was getting will be given to to this years 1st round pick Nasir Little. He is a good defender and 3 point shooter and has playoff experience. They still have a logjam at PF & C so look for a move to be made this summer.

2019 NBA All Star Game Roster

              West All Stars

The west all stars has a few new names with Ball, Fox and Bagley all making the squad. They are a few major snubs with C.J and Klay as both players are well over 20 a game and the teams are both in the playoffs. Lonzo is leading the NBA in assist still its surprising he made it over his teammate Klay.

              Russell Westbrook
              26.6 PPG, 10.1 Reb, 9.5 Ast

              Stephen Curry

              Deandre Jordan
              16.6PPG, 11.1 Reb, 1.9 Blk

              East All Stars

The New York fans are ready to start a riot after KP didn't make it despite the Knicks having one of the best records in the East and him averaging 20, 8 and 6 (I think this was a glitch). I don't think even Milwaukee fans can justify Parker making it over him. Robert Williams for the Bulls is a new name the former lottery pick is having a big year on defense just not much stats and his team has played bad. Joel Embiid did easily make the squad and this is likely Marc Gasol's last selection at 34. Its nice to see Luka Doncic make the team as a 2nd year player. Dennis Schroder Is another player that made it on a bad team. The east is slowly narrowing the talent level gap between it and the West. Ben is 3 for 3 in all star selections.

              John Wall
              21.5 PPG, 4.1 Reb, 9.0 Ast

              Kyrie Irving
              23.9 PPG, 2.6 Reb, 5.5 Ast

              Lebron James
              24.7 PPG, 9.2 Reb, 8.4 Ast

              Giannis Antetokunpo
              24.8 PPG, 9.3 Reb, 6.0 Ast

              Ben Simmons
              19.7 PPG, 9.6 Reb, 8.2 Ast

              Dennis Schroder
              18.9 PPG, 2.5 Reb, 7.2 Ast

              Luke Doncic
              16.4 PPG, 5.1 Reb, 4.7 Ast

              Victor Oladipo
              21.7 PPG, 4.3 Reb, 3.2 Ast

              Jabri Parker
              17.0 PPG, 6.9 Reb, 2.6 Ast

              Joel Embiid
              19.6 PPG, 10.9 Reb, 2.2 Ast

              Marc Gasol
              16.6 PPG, 8.8 Reb, 4.3 Ast

              Robert Williams
              12.9 PPG, 9.3 Reb, 3.2 Ast

              Snubs

              Kristops Porzingis
              20.2 PPG, 8.2 Reb, 6.9 Ast

              Isaiah Thomas

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"

                Ingles Out 2 Months

A few days before the all star break Joe Ingles the teams starting SG broke his ankle and will miss 2 months. The good news is that Fultz has returned from his injury so the rotation will not see any major changes. The 9th spot is still being split between TLC, Greyson Allen and Justin Anderson.

The good news is that Joe should return in time for the playoffs. Joe was having a really good year his points was up 2.4 a game and his 3 % up from 38 to 43. Coach Brett Brown said " I have said all along that Joe is the secret weapon to this team thanks to his defense and ability to stretch the court. We are going to miss Joe, but I am confident in the depth we have."

Since Joe is 32 and the emerges of Bol Bol you will likely see Joe shifted toward the bench next year or maybe even traded. He will be in the final year of his contract next year at around 10 million $.

                  Award Races - Febuary 2019

                  MVP
Ben has jumped up to the 3rd spot and while the odds are still stacked against him that he brings home the award atleast he has a fighting chance. He needs to keep his team as a #1 seed and hope the Thunder and Knicks lose some games. Ben has got his asset up and flirts with a triple double in just about every game.

                  Rookie
Not much has changed here and Bol continues to play well he just isn't going to score enough points to jump 4 guys averaging 17.

                  Defense Player
Embiid is up to the top spot and this is his award to lose just be careful of Robert Williams who all the coaches and media love after making the all star team.

                  6th Man
Romeo has had the one locked down from the start and it doesn't look like he will lose the top spot even after missing a few weeks with a injury.

                  Most Improved
A good battle in this one between Malik Monk and two guys that made the all star team in Fox and Robert Williams. Frank will soon lose his spot due to injury. Its nice to see some D first guys getting some love for this award.

                    Without Ingles 76'ers Struggle

                    Wizards 101 to 114 –Loss
No 76ers scores over 18 points and it results in a double-digit loss and Bradley Beal has 23 points and 6 assist.

                    Raptors 126 to 116 – Win
The raptors continue to be a disappointment as they lose by 10 points despite Derozan’s 24, 5 and 7. Simmons has another triple double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assist and 4 steals. Bol has a big all around game 24 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assist, 3 steals, 1 block and goes 3 of 7 from 3.

                    Lakers – 95 – 109 - Loss
LA is starting to get hot and get a easy win here as Klay scores 24. Lonzo has his usual odd stat line with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assist. Fultz gets 24 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist, 5 steals. Bol also plays well with 18 and 8

                    Kings – 104 to 114 Win
Fox as always tries to carry the team and his 20 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assist, and 3 steals are not enough. With Simmons and Embiid both having off games Fultz and Bol step up with both scoring 18 points. Fultz would add 7 rebounds and 8 assist while Bol has 8 rebounds and 2 blocks

                    Warriors – 108 to 124 - Loss
As everyone expected the Warriors are starting to play well with the midseason upgrade at SG. They go on to easily beat the 76ers as Curry scores 29 points. Jordan Bell has a big game down low with 14 points and 16 boards. Embiid and Roco both would foul out in this game so the bench had to play more then usual. Fultz continues his hot stretch with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assist. Ben is everywhere with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assist, 3 steals and 1 block

                    T’Wolves – 126 to 135 - Loss
This game shows how much Joe is missed as the 76ers lose 4 out of the last 6 games in a offense battle. Towns had a monster game 37 and 9 while Wiggins scores 32. Jimmy Butler has 25 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assist, and 5 steals. The 76ers out up big stats despite Simmons and Bol both fouling out. Bol had one of his best games of the year with 34 and 8. Embiid gets 22 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist, 1 steals and 5 blocks. Fultz has 26 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assist, and 3 steals

Ben Living Up To His Potential

Ben made the all star game his first two years in the NBA and carried the 76ers to the #1 seed last year in the playoffs before getting upset in the 2nd round. He has taken his game to the next level this year scoring 3 more points, 4 assist, and shooting a higher FG % then last year. He has always had elite passing skills and this summers training was to focus on that and it has paid off. He is spending his time in practice now focusing on shooting close to the rim and defense.

He is only 23 years and is in the top 5 of the MVP race and that's something that shouldn't change for the next 7+ years. He is playing mostly at PF and next year will likely shift to SF as Bol Bol will take over as the starting PF. He was ready to sign a extension and him and the team both decided to wait till the summer to do so. This way it gives the 76ers a chance to sign a big name FA or make a trade if they to do so.

Lebron James is still in the East and all of the NBA would love a playoff series between the 35 year old year old and the 23 year old. So everyone keep your fingers crossed for that as the Pistons are looking to spoil that series once again.

8'1 Wingspan With 3 Point Range is Unfair

Bol Bol was drafted mostly for his rebounding and defense and his ability to fit into the team without needing the ball on offense. When he was drafted he had decent shooting with a C- grade that all the scouts said would get better in time (he has shooting badges). Its not even been a year since he was drafted and that C- 3 point shoting is all the way up to B-. His current rating for open shooting is 82 which is near double for the Center average which is 49.

He is shooting 35.1 % from 3's making 1.3 a game which is 4th amongst rookies. His 3 % is 4th on the team as he has made 93 of the 265 he has attempted. If his 3 point skills can continue its going to be a real asset as he will likely continue to get open looks. Everyone expected he would eventually grow into a solid shooter it just appears like that process has happened sooner then expected

                          2nd Expansion Team Announced

The 2nd new expansion team has been announced and its the Nashville Outlaws. They will play in the Bridgestone Arena which is the home of the NHL's Nashville Predators. If you have never been to Nashville the Bridgestone Arena is in a perfect location in downtown Nashville. Its within walking distance to the Honkytonk Bar's as well as a few major hotels with a ton of good places to eat.

The Outlaws got there name from the country music movement of the 70's & 80's which the city is known for highlighted by artist such as Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. They will join the Western Conference as the previously announced Cozumel Cruisers will join the East.

                          * I would like to go and put a logo on half court if I can find one that looks good. It wouldn't let me put the logo that was prebuilt and I wanted to go ahead and set this up before I end the regular season. I am a huge Country Music fan so that's why I made this team. Nashville is also one of my fav places to visit for the weekend as I am only 3 hours from it so this team also has meaning to me.

Can the 76ers Catch The Pistons ?

The 76ers have slipped to the #3 seed though the race is still very close. The start of this stretch of games off against the 2 teams ahead of them in the standings will be critical.

                            Pistons – 105 to 134 - Loss
The Pistons again beat the 76ers this time in blow out fashion for a big win for the #1 seed. Reggie Jackson scores 20 and Drummond has a monster game with 24 points, 16 rebounds and 3 steals. Joel Embiid was the high scorer with 23 points just only 5 rebounds

                            Knicks – 95 to 103 - Loss
Another big loss and this makes 6 of 8 losses without Ingles who is still a few weeks away from coming back. Lebron out plays Simmons who is held in check as LBJ goes off for 33 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assist, 2 steals and 1 block. Embiid is back on track after a few bad games with 19 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assist, and 1 block

                            Spurs – 115 to 94 - Win
Leonard had a solid game with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assist, and 4 steals and the Spurs was held under 100 points. Fultz has 22 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assist, and 2 steals. Simmons once again just missed a triple double going for 26-10-9

                            Nets – 114 to 107 - Win
Russell couldn’t be stopped as he scores 40 points on just 24 shots and RHJ played good defense and grabbed 14 boards. Embiid was the high man with 30 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assist and 2 blocks. Bol continues to improve his scoring with 20 to go along with 9 rebounds and 2 assist. Simmons had one of his best games of the year with 24 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assist, 2 steals and 3 block.

                            Hornets – 115 to 97 - Win
Frank the Tank scored 21 as the Hornets are held under 100 points. The Hornets are weak down low so Embiid couldn’t be stopped with 23 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assist, 2 steals and 4 blocks. Simmons was close to his averages with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assist, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Bol adds 15 and 13.

                            Pacers – 133 to 110 - Win
The 76ers are back on track with a 4th straight win scoring 133 points. Oladipo did his part with 31 and it wasn’t close to enough. Fultz was the player of the game with 27 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assist, and 2 steals. Simmons has 21-5-12 with 4 blocks and Bol adds 23 and 9.

                            Hawks – 102 to 125 – Loss
Didn’t see this one coming as Hawks win easily as nobody scores over 17 for the 76ers. Schroder who made the all star team scores 23 with 9 assist while youngster Hamidu Diallo also scores 23.

Thanks man, I am still playing this a hour or two a night and have no attention to stop anytime soon. I have a lot more stuff to post today and I'm going to try and take a night off from playing to get caught up on posting stuff.
