        HOLT BOLTS FOR…MOUNT PLEASANT??

AMES, Iowa- Yep, you unfortunately read that correctly Cyclone fans, prized 2014 four star recruit and 1st team all everything free safety William ‘The Jolt’ Holt says goodbye to Ames in search of…something in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

“This was a complete and utter shock,” said Coach Mitchell. “When news broke that Holt was transferring to Central Michigan University I thought it was some sick and twisted rumor that the media was circulating around but sure enough it proved to be the truth. What he thinks he’s going to find in Mount Pleasant that he couldn’t find here I have no idea, he’s basically treated like royalty here.

“But whatever good riddance, don’t let the door hit you in the ass…have fun playing in the MAC and sitting home during bowl season, ooops did I just say that out loud…and on the record??”

Following him to Mount Pleasant is another up and coming stud, LE Joe Williams, who was rated 78 overall as a true freshman – not as highly rated as Holt’s 81 overall rating but still a player that has tremendous upside, an upside which will now be realized by Head Coach Butch Jones .

Iowa State will be losing 107 combined tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, 8 interceptions, 8 deflections, 2 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and 3 defensive touchdowns worth of productivity on next years roster.

“I tried to talk William out of transferring for a half an hour which is as long as my house rules will allow but he was deadest on leaving,” said Mitchell. “I guess we have no other choice than to plug someone else in there and hope they can step up for us.”

          THE NEXT GREAT BACK?

AMES, Iowa- It looks as though Coach Mitchell has done it again, reeling in 4-star tailback Jamie McCoy from Burbank, California.

McCoy, a 6’1”, 209 pound back with lightning quick speed was recruited heavily by not only Iowa State and Coach Mitchell but also by Pete Carroll at USC, Rick Neuheisel at UCLA, and Charlie Weiss at Notre Dame.

“I wanted to play for Coach Mitchell,” said McCoy. “His track record for developing all-time great backs is second to none and I felt he would give me the best chance out of any coach that was recruiting me to be the focal point in the offense which is extremely hard to overlook.”

As the talent level seemingly diminishes as the years in this coaching dynasty go by it was imperative for Iowa State to sign at least one of the nations elite players because it’s becoming harder and harder to find impact talent.

“Not to long after the release of NCAA Football 2009 I started hearing rumors that once you past 8 or so years in a dynasty the talent level becomes scarce and four-star, five-star talent would not be as abundant as it once was and that programs from top to bottom would start to show the effects of such a…glitch, issue, bad coding, whatever you want to call it. Prior to beginning the 2015 season I started seeing this issue become apparent…and it’s only getting worse as time goes on,” said Mitchell. “I’m relieved and excited to have landed McCoy as I struggled greatly to gain any advantage in the recruiting process over the other top schools that were vying for his services.”

With the lack of depth and talent starting to shake the college football landscape I want to flash-forward a bit to the pre-season Top 25 standings which haven’t been released yet and have everyone make a mental note that NOT one team has an A rating in the overall category, the offensive category or the defensive category, most have B’s and B minuses. If the ratings are like that for teams within the Top 25 you can only imagine what the rest of the teams are rated.

Honestly, Central Michigan has a hell of a lot more cred than Iowa State will ever have. They can actually be a factor in their rather strong division consistently unlike ISU in real life in the weakass Big 12 North.

Not really, I just don't like when people hate on MAC schools just because they're in the MAC.

Bro this is a fictional dynasty, and in this fictional dynasty CMU happens to be horrible so one of my top guys leaving to go to a horrible program that's at rock bottom needs a fictional outburst by the coach.

That's not how I really feel about them.

Very nice dynasty - I love the Gametracker layout that you do after games. Keep up the good work, man.
