GAME RECAP
Spoiler
FSU DEFEATS UCF 23-16
Florida State for the first time in 18 games failed to score over 30 points in a game. For the first time in a long time, FSU relied heavily on its defense to play lights out to secure the victory for the Noles. The Noles were pitching a shut out prior to a safety on a holding call in the endzone, and a pick six thrown by Sarderrious Minter that kept UCF in the game. But FSU played very strong throughout the game.
Defense has a chance to be special
The Defense has a chance to be extremely special. We saw a lot of good, saw a good number amount of rotation of players throughout the night that kept the Noles Fresh and so many of those players playing in different spots on the defense.LB Rashad McCullough has anchored the middle of the defense very well leading the team in tackles. While super Freshman CB Ja'Carius Kidd has more than held his own shutting down one side of the field. Freshman reserve DB Luron Dixon leads the team in interceptions so far on the young season. When you think of Cameel Verner type defenses, this is exactly what you think of. A big, athletic , and violent defense that flies all over the field.
Offensive Struggles
The run game was the obvious gameplan for FSU this game attempting to take advantage of the size disadvantage in the trenches. But FSU really had a hard time getting things going in regards to trying to empose their will. But its no secret, yes FSU has great Backs, and backs that may go high in the NFL draft, the strength of this team is definately in the air. It took Sophomore QB Sarderrious Minter a minute to get going, but once he did the passing game took over. Minter threw for 329 yards and 3 TDs on the night. Sophomore WR Jamar Reid (4 catches, 92 yards) and Freshman WR Orbit Jackson ( 4 catches, 62 yards) led the way for the Seminoles. The Running game got much better later in the game however, as Junior RB Kartrelle Gaither broke a few runs and he finished the night with 93 yards on 20 carries.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
Here we are once again. Another Top 5 Primetime matchup between these two teams. #3 Florida State travels to Morgantown, WV to take on the #3 West Virginia Mountaineers. Last season, these were two College Football Playoff teams. West Virginia lost to Georgia Tech in the Semi-Finals while FSU won the National Championship against Georgia Tech. The two also played an instant classic in the ACC Championship last season, prior to that West Virginia won a thriller in Tallahassee 48-43 in the regular season. However, this Mountaineer team isnt as star studded as they were last season. West Virginia lost a ton of key contributors to last years successful team. Quarterback Melvin McCoy was the #2 Overall pick in the NFL Draft this past April. While WRs Terrence Stegall and Larry Townsend both were also selected late in the first round. Defensively, WVU lost 3 key components to their Defense, as LB Orlando McAfee was selected in the Second Round, as well as Cornerback Scott Copeland was also a late second round pick, while LB Markeith Whitehead was drafted in the 5th round. While WVU has lost a ton of talent on the team, FSU returns the bulk of its roster from last years National Championship run including Heisman Trophy winner QB Sarderrious Minter.
Key Matchups
While FSU returns the bulk of its starters, LB Ryan Clay also returns to the Mountaineers as well. Last season Clay seemed to be all over the field making plays and the Redshirt Junior is back once again. QB Cade Ramsour takes over as the signal caller for Melvin McCoy this season. And he had an impressive first game last week throwing 18/19 295 and 4 TDs in the route of Jacksonville State.
Running Back Maurice Harris also returns to the backfield as West Virginia's work horse. Last season, Harris had 883 yards on 152 carries (5.8 ypc). FSU will need to make WVU one dimensional as they return a very young and inexperienced group of WRs this season with the absence of two first round picks. Two former four-star freshman are starters at WR now. WR Bryan Wilkinson (6'2", 205) and Ryan West (6'0" 180)got the majority of the reps last week at WR, although Sophomore Jay Franklin (6'1" 184) led the team in catches with 4.
***BREAKING NEWS***
Florida State Head Coach Cameel Verner, Sr has announced two suspensions for the West Virginia game. Senior WR Carmelo Clancy and Sophomore TE David Davis have both been deemed suspended for undisclosed reasons.
Verner also announced that Starters RT Bob Martin and Guard Jordan Craft are OUT for the game vs West Virginia due to injury. Redshirt Freshman Marcus Black will start at Right Tackle while Redshirt Sophmore Alex Benson will start at Guard.
INJURIES
RT Bob Martin - 4 to 5 weeks, Knee Sprain
Jordan Craft 2 to 3 weeks, Back Spasms
SUSPENSIONS
WR Carmelo Clancy - 2 Games. Violation of Team Rules.
TE David Davis - 4 Games. Violation of NCAA Rules.Comment

GAME RECAP
Spoiler
FSU TOPPLES #5 WVU 52-21
Florida State went into Morgantown with a ton of momentum, and came away with a very decisive victory. A late Touchdown by the Mountaineers made the game appear closer than the final indicates, but FSU pretty much dominated the game. Uncharacteristically, the Noles passed for under 200 yards. As Sophomore QB Sarderrious Minter finished 18/32 195 yards and 4 TDs. WR Jamar Reid led FSU WRs with 4 catches for 52 yards and 1 TD on the day. Surprisingly, the running game carried the Noles today. Minter had 16 carries for 100 yards, and Freshman RB Trey Wright finished with 7 carries for 65 yards and 1 TD. Gaither, Hamby and Wright could be one heck of a Running Back trio as all 3 bring something different to the Seminole offense. Junior RB Kartrelle Gaither who had 15 carries for 59 yards is the bruising workhorse that FSU needs in its offense to thrive. Sophomore RB Zaleel Hamby is a capbable runner, but his receiving threat is what makes him so valuable. And as Freshman Trey Wright showed today, his elusiveness and homerun threat ability gives FSU a huge change of pace in the backfield. All 3 former five-stars show the ability to bring something different to the FSU backfield.
Former Three Star DB Making Huge Impact
Sophomore DB J.D. Davis who made his first career start 7 games into the season last year has cemented his name on the roster as a starter. And for good reason. The former three-star corner out of Maitland, Florida has been a staple in FSU's defensive backfield since he's become a starter. And vs the #5 Mountaineers , he posted yet again gaudy numbers. He posted 8 tackles, 2 TFL, and 1 int for a TD.
"He's been huge for our team. He plays in so many different spots. Remember last year in the ACC Championship game he played corner for us after playing Ace (Strong Safety) the majority of the year. This season, he's expanded his role a ton. He's played Hawk (Nickel), Ace(Strong Safety, and Free (Free Safety) for us a ton. He's all over the field and one of the more valuable peices we have on the back end. Sky is the limit for him." Said Coach Cameel Verner.
He wasnt recruited by many schools, but Coach Verner knew he would be special if he was to land his signature two years ago. And already as a Sophomore, he's making his mark early and often.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
UP NEXT: VIRGINIA (1-0)
With an early bye week for the Cavaliers, Virginia travels to Tallahassee this weekend 1-0 to take on the Seminoles. And as it goes, Virginia is the last team to beat the Seminoles. Last year in Charlottesville....Virginia beat the Seminoles 34-39 in a thrilling heartbreaker. But little do the Noles loss that would be their last loss to date. The Noles eventually of course went on to win the National Championship. Running Back Greg Oliver who gashed the Noles last year has moved on to the NFL, however the receiving corps last year that gave the Noles fits all return as Seniors. WR Joesean Schmidt who had 3 catches for 71 yards and 1 TD returns for his Senior season, along with fellow Senior WR Chris Rogers. However, the Cavs will be breaking in a new Quarterback. Senior QB Jeremy Williams (6'4" ,200) is the signal caller for the Cavs this season and will bring veteran leadership to the Offense as they prepare to face a very stingy defense.
Defensively, LB Lewis Williams (6'1" 230) takes over as the leader of the defense for Virginia . And while Virginia lost two draft picks at Cornerback from last season, they return another duo of capbable corners Junior Chris Franklin (6'1" 210) and CB Jesse Brooks (6'2" 184). They both have the size to compete with the bigger WRs that the Seminoles have on the outside. On the defensive front, they will face one of the bigger fronts all season. Rob Miller (6'3" 302) and Eric King (6'2" 321) will anchor the middle of the front for the DL.
The Noles have done a good job of shutting down opposing offenses WRs, but have had a issues with Tight Ends all season. Out of the 3 games this season, two of the games Tight Ends have gone over 100 yards. And Dennis Bailey is one of the ACC's best Tight Ends and can give the Noles a headache all afternoon long if he is not accounted for.
RECRUITING
Last weekend, The Seminoles secured a committment from the nation's top Offensive Tackle. Five-Star Synnquan Evans , who by most is considered one of the best Tackle prospects in over a decade gives the Seminoles an instant boost once he enrolls on campus. He has the size and ability to play day one and can easily be a dominant force. He hasnt allowed a single sack his entire career in High School thus far.

RECRUITING VISITS
This weekend two elite prospects will be in Tallahassee on Official Visits.
S Blake Boyson6’1” 210 Ft. Elmwood Park, NJ
#2 S, #51 Overall
Why I want: Boyson is versatile. He can play all 5 DB spots on the defense.
The Plan: Boyson's versatility honestly doesnt allow you to lock him at one specific spot on defense. He can play so many different spots on the back end, you just have to work hard for his signature.
CB Eric Igwe6’2” 205 Monessen, PA
#1 CB , #11 Overall
Why I want: Bigger corneracks are what we love here. And Igwe is a big elite Corner.
The Plan: Igwe has a special skillset that allows him to play all 5 spots on the defense. If we are able to land him plug him where he's needed.
***BREAKING NEWS***
FSU has gotten bad news on the injury front this week. FSU has learned that starting Guard Shelvin Borker, has been ruled out this week with a sprained Elbow. And Reserve Guard Alex Benson has been ruled out also with a Bruised Quad. FSU is already down two lineman in T Bob Martin and G Jordan Craft. It's possible backup Guard RS Fr Justin Holloway may get his first ever start as a Seminole.
INJURIES

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
The last team to beat Florida State since FSU started this 15 game win streak, was the Cavaliers from Virginia. Last season, FSU dropped to UVA 39-34 in Charlottesville. And at one point throughout the game, FSU seemed to be headed in similar fashion. FSU trailing 28-14 in the 3rd, FSU could not seem to stop Virginia RB Reggie Gillett who made play after play for the Cavaliers running for 169 yards on 18 carries and scoring 3 times on the night. Florida State has been very stout against the run all year, only allowing 3.7 ypc on the ground on the season. But today, the Noles allowed two Running backs to average almost triple that. Gillett (9.3 ypc) and RB Nate Sims (27.0 ypc). However, the resilient Noles found ways to overcome the pesky Cavaliers on the road to 38-28 victory.
Florida State since Sophomore QB Sarderrious Minter has taken over, has relied heavily on its passing game with the electric receivers it has on the outside. But for the second game in a row, FSU has slowly pounded its opponents and wear them down in throughout the course of the game. Today FSU had 3 players carry the ball more than 10 times, while two of those players had over 100 yards. It's becoming clear even though Junior RB Kartrelle Gaither is a 3 year starter, FSU has no problem going with the 'hot hand" in critical moments of the game. And Sophomore RB Zaleel Hamby, who accumulated 131 yards on 12 carries got the bulk of the carries late in the game and had his best performance on the ground in his short career. He's typically known for his threat as a receiver, but he made Virginia pay on the ground.
For the first time in his career, Sophomore WR Jamar Reid was held catchless in a game. And his normal counterpart, Kennard Thomas only had 1 catch for 10 yards. Last year the duo accounted for over 70% of the recieving yards for the Noles. Today, the Noles relied on former Five-Star WR Benito Tipton who had 3 catches 104 yards 1 TD, and Freshman TE Mikkie Munday (4 catches 57 yards) to carry the receiving load. Tipton, who was recruited in the same class as Jamar Reid and Kennard Thomas, was the third Five-Star WR of the 3 to sign with the Noles. With all the attention Thomas and Reid get, Tipton knew it was a matter of time before he broke out like he did today. Tipton, a 6'1" 210 pound WR out of Milledgeville, GA is kind of the forgotten man in the corps, but his Head Coach knows exactly what he brings to the Noles. "He's one of the best route runners we have. Probably the best on the team. Sometimes people dont understand the reason others get open is because of how good of a route he runs. And hes extremely physical too." Said Coach Cameel Verner.
Pass Defense is now a Strength
The past two seasons, including last season's national championship run, Florida State has not been able to stop the pass. This year, most of the passing stats are to Tight Ends and Running backs. However, WRs seem to feel like they are being covered with a blanket every play. Other than Tight Ends the most yards any receiver has logged vs FSU this season is 55. And FSU has gone up agasinst some top notch WRs. Former Five-Stars CB Isaac Boles(6'3" , 195) and CB Ja'Carius Kidd (6'2", 215) have smothered every WR they have faced this season. Kidd, who sports Deion Sanders retired #2, has not allowed a touchdown on the season, and leads all Cornerbacks in completion % rate according to PFF.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
3:30 PM/ET ABC
Baylor comes to Tallahassee with a 2-1 Record, 2-0 in the ACC. This is a big game with ACC implications. Baylor had a very dissapointing season last year, under achieving with a stack roster of talent. This year with the expectations lowered, Baylor has improved. This time last year they were 1-2, this year they are 2-1 and 2-0 in the ACC. QB Paul Ashley (6'5" 220) takes over at Quarterback this season for the Bears. Former Bear QB William Smith now playing for the Bengals was a 4th round draft pick. Ashley is the leading Rusher and Passer for the Baylor Bears coming into this weeks game. While WR Marcus Davis leads the Wrs with 281 yards and 2 TDs on the season.
Baylor returns its top 2 Linebackers from a season ago, Clayton Jordan and Badarius Hill anchor the second level for the Bears. While potential high draft pick DT Jermaine Cook (6'1" 320) will handle the interior for the Bears.
RECRUITING
Last week FSU landed a pair of big time targets while on official visits. WR JaChristian Anderson and DB Blake Boyson both committed to FSU. Anderson was more of a want than a need, as the WR corps for FSU is stacked. FSU is not actively recruiting any other WRs. Anderson is the nephew of Head Coach Cameel Verner. Blake Boyson was a recruiting win at a position of need. Boyson's versatility is what made him so attractive for FSU and landing his signature this early in the season was huge. FSU currently sits #1 in the recruiting rankings.
WR JaChristian Anderson6’6” 215 Pensacola, FL
#2 WR, #6 Overall
Why I want: He's a huge WR and is showing major interest. We have no need for a WR, but its hard to turn down a WR of this caliber.

RECRUITING VISITS
With FSU hosting Baylor this weekend, a few major targets will be in attendance on their official visits. Defensive Lineman Javar Creysac and Bakari Brazille will be on a visit. And Five-Star DB prospect Ra'Shod Titus will also be at FSU for an official visit.
----
DE Bakari Brazille6’6” 308 Americus, GA
#14 DE , #235 Overall
Why I want: Brazille is probably one of the biggest wants on the board. He has the exact size needed for the DE we look for. And the fact he is playing DE and not DT in high school is another welcomed sight.
The Plan: Easy. He will be a DE in this system and could very well possibly be an every down DE.
DT Jevar Creysac6’5” 290 Miami, FL
#9 DT , #231 Overall
Why I want: Hes a big physical and mean lineman. He has excellent size already to go along with elite athletic ability. At 290 pounds he runs a 4.8.
The Plan: Would be moved to DE. He really fits the bill as a big time DE that can really cause havoc in our system.
S Ra'shod Titus6’4” 205 Jacksonville,FL
#1 S , #10 Overall
Why I want: Titus is a big rangy DB that is drooled upon in todays game. At 6'4 he has the size and length you want in a Safety in todays game.
The Plan: Titus could definately have an impact at Free that Judah Jackson did in his 3 years at FSU. Titus has great instincts, great speed and great length.
INJURIES
G Alex Benson- 1-2 weeks, Bruised Quad
T Bob Martin -- 2 to 3 weeks, Knee Sprain
G Jordan Craft - 1 week, Back Spasms
*Shelvin Borker returns after missing last weeks game to a bruised elbow. Will start vs Baylor.
*Jordan Craft will be available if needed vs Baylor.

TE David Davis - 2 Games. Violation of NCAA Rules.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
FSU GETS REALITY CHECK IN 44-18 WIN TO IMPROVE TO 5-0
So far through this season, analysts have praised FSU for the job they have done throughout the season. They surivived a test last week vs Virginia. And have pretty much handled their end of the bargain vs other opponents thus far. Passing on the Seminoles have been basically non existant. However, even though FSU seemed to dominate this game, they found a way to keep them selves from pulling away and letting Baylor hang on. Florida State dominated the trenches, getting 12 sacks on the night. But Baylor QB Paul Ashley did not let the relentless pressure keep him from having a career day. Ashley finished the game with 31/43 391 yards and 2 TDs. By far the best production of any QB on FSU's defense this season. Baylor also had 2 100 yard WRs on the day,Ezekiel Harvey (10 catches 139 yards) and Mario Nicholas (5 Catches 120 yards). However, FSU still made the plays that were necessary to pull out the lopsided victory even after the offensive outburst the Baylor Bears displayed.
FSU AMPS UP THE PASS RUSH
Florida State racked up 12 sacks on Saturday. By far its most impressive output in the Cameel Verner coaching era. FSU has known for quite some time that it's pass rushing was one of the few weaknesses on its Defense. Looks as if after some minor tweaks, they may have found a solution. Coming into this weeks contest knowing Baylor loves to fling the ball around, FSU got its best effort of the year from Sophomore DL Zaveri O'Born who had 4 sacks on the day to lead the Noles. LB Rashad McCullough chipped in with 14 tackles, 3 sacks and an interception to his own credit.
Freshman makes his mark in his first action of the year
Redshirt Freshman LB Ty'Shall McBee (6'5" 255) had not saw extensive action until today. FSU knowing they needed to get more athletes on the field to compliment Baylors passing attack, McBee entered the fray. And he did not dissapoint. He is one of the more athletic defensive players FSU has and they needed him today and he finished the game with 8 tackles, 2 PBUs and 1 sack.
Passing Game Comes Alive
After leaning heavily on the run game, the passing game returned to it's old form today. WR Jamar Reid tallied 4 catches for 114 yards, while Deep Threat Kennard Thomas finished with 2 catches for 110 yards. QB Sarderrious Minter had his best passing game of the season going 21/31 358 and 4 TDs.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
BYE WEEK
We technically arent at mid-season. But FSU gets their first bye week of the season. The Seminoles sit at 5-0 on the year, and for the first 5 games we will recap all position group grades and impact players, also look ahead in the schedule as FSU prepares for a tough gritty matchup next week vs the Hurricanes in Coral Gables. We will also visit the recruiting section, as well as other hot topics around the country.
Mid-Season Roster Grades
Quarterbacks
GRADE: B+
Sarderrious Minter albeit he doesnt have the sheer numbers he had this time last season, he is still playing extremely solid football. The former Heisman Trophy winner has improved on his accuracy, throwing for 67% on the season thus far. Throwing for 18 TDs and 8 Ints. On the ground he leads the Noles in rushing with 458 yards (8.2 ypc) and 2 TDs.
Running Backs
Grade: C-
This grade would be a lot lower without the contributions of QB Sarderrious Minter.Junior Kartrelle Gaither even though hes considered the Workhorse of the stable of the backs is just not having a great statistical year. He's averaging right at 4 yards per carry, and his highest rushing total on the season is 93. Sophomore Zaleel Hamby hasnt been much better although he did have a breakout game where we ran for 131 on 12 carries, which bumps his average for the year to 5.9. The change of pace back Freshman Trey Wright although in limited action has shown he can be a gamebreaker. He's averaging 7.1 yards per carry on limited snaps.
Wide Receiver
Grade: B
The receiving group is so dynamic. You have playmakers all over the field here. And the versatility shows in the Box Scores. Jamar Reid and Kennard Thomas catches have lowered tremendously thus far this season, but their yards are still respectable. And even with the catch numbers dipping, you see other players stepping up with respectable numbers. Freshman Orbit Jackson leads the team in total catches, while Sophmore Benito Tipton numbers have increased so far this year from Year 1 to Year 2. Tight End Freshman Mikki Munday has also contributed more from the Tight End position filling in for the suspended David Davis.
Offensive Line
Grade: C-
FSU has dealt with the injury bug early in the year, which makes it hard on any Offensive Line to gel. Starting Right Tackle Bob Martin has been out since Week 2 with an injury, while the interior lineman have been sidelined also. Cole Chinndell has been a pleasant surprise at Center this season. Derique Smith has had an up and down year at Left Tackle for FSU. If the Noles can get healthy, this position group could possibly pose for a better grade at the end of the year.
Defensive Line
Grade: B+
The Defensive Line has been a strength on the year. Outside of the Virginia game, the Line has been extremely stout against the run and holding opponents to season lows in rushing. Sharaad Bonner has been playing amazing at DE for the Noles, while Zaveri O'Born continues his dominance on the DL as well.
Linebackers
Grade: B+
The Linebackers on the second level make it very easy for the Noles. Rashad McCullough leads the team in tackles, , Kenyatta Bimbo has been coming on strong as of late when it comes to rushing the passer, and Ty'Shall McBee seems to have found a new late role in the defense. Sophomores Kyson Perry and Taylor Covington are having magnificent second year seasons with the Noles. A weakness position last season has become a strength for the Noles.
Secondary
Grade: A
Other than Baylor, no team has really had sustained success passing against the Noles. Former Five-Star Corners Sophomore Isaac Boles, and super Freshman Ja'Carius Kidd have really made it difficult for WRs outside the numbers. Kidd leads all DBs in the nation in pass completion %, and has only given up 1 TD in 5 games. Freshman Luron Dixon leads the team in interceptions in a backup role, while J.D. Davis and Detaro Levine have solified the back end at their respective Safety roles. Davis has become a household name as a Sophomore and leads the team in pass breakups, and is second on the team in tackles.
Overall
Grade: B-
Overall the Noles have to grow in order to defend their Championship from a year ago. They have the right peices it seems, however the coaches need to continue to do a good job of evaluating players and putting them in spots to succeed each week. Ty'Shall McBee seems as if he can really help contribute to the Noles on Defense as he was inserted into a bigger role on last week. As last year showed, Sarderrious Minter's playmaking ability will keep FSU in a lot of football games, but the Offensive Line must continue to improve and FSU must sustain a good running game in order to continue to have the success they have had over this 15 game win streak.
RECRUITING UPDATE
Cameel Verner has been recruiting at an insanely high level throughout his head coaching career. Currently he has signed 11 straight number on classes including back at his Georgia Tech days. Currently, FSU is sitting comfortably agian at the number one spot, and this past weekend FSU was able to land huge commits from official visitors at the Baylor game. DT Javar Creysac, DE Bakari Brazille, S Ra'Shod Titus and CB Eric Igwe all committed to Florida State this past weekend. That gives FSU five total Five-Stars so far in this recruiting class.
RECENT COMMITS
CURRENTLY COMMITTED

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
UP NEXT: #12 MIAMI (3-1)
3:30 PM/ET ABC
For the second year in a row, this game will have some huge playoff implications. Last season, Miami was #1 and undefeated, FSU sitting at 2-2 and unranked, and FSU seemed to turn their season around by defeating Miami, and then going on to win 11 in a row and eventually become the National Champions. This year seems to have a similar feel. FSU is on a huge 17 game win streak. Miami's only loss was on the road against an unranked Utah team, as they lost 24-21 in Ovetime. Since then, Miami has defeated Notre Dame and East Carolina in conference play.
Senior QB Del Paz will play his final game against FSU in Coral Gables this weekend and so far he is having an amazing season. He's completing 67% of his passes with 1,171 yards with 12 Touchdowns and 1 Int. Last year against FSU, Paz threw 26/41 316 and 2 Touchdowns. This year he looks to repeat that performance in hopes his last game against the Noles is a win.
D.J Livingston and Titus Mays take over at Running Back for the Canes, as both are averaging over 5.5 yards per carry this year.
Senior WR Chad Chambers(6'1" , 200) is the main target in the Hurricane offense and he posed to be a matchup probem for the Noles last year going 3 catches for 84 yard and a touchdown. This year, he is the main target in the Hurricane offense. Currently on the season hes got 29 catches for 463 yards and 5 TDs. (115.8 yards per game).
Defensivly, DE Gonzalo Koonce(6'3" , 260) is back for his Senior season and has been causing havoc so far this season also. All-AAC Linebacker Rory Owens also returns for his Senior season as he leads the Miami team in tackles this season.
On the back end, All-AAC Corners Chris Key (6'1" ,195) and Charles Ball-Waters (6'3" ,190) secure the spot as DBs on the outside, while Senior Safety Derrick Reid has been playing at an All-American level all season.
Miami is undefeated so far in Conference play in the American Athletic Conference. But this game once again this season is for National prowess.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
SpoilerNOLES INCREASE WIN STREAK TO 18 WITH WIN OVER MIAMI
Freshman WR Orbit Jackson celebrates a late second quarter TD
The Noles cap off an amazing game by defeating its arch rival 44-25 on the road to extend their Nation long 18 game win streak. Although its a non-conference game, it was a big win for the Noles as it still had very high national implications. Sophomore QB Sarderrious Minter finished the game 14/28 331 yards and 3 TDs to go with 1 Int. Freshman WR Orbit Jackson led all receivers with 3 catches for 100 yards and 1 TD.
With FSU struggling mightily to run the football most of the year, Trey Wright got the bulk of the snaps at Running Back and he delivered in a huge way. Wright racked up 180 yards on 18 carries, (10 yards per carry) and 1 TD. Kartrelle Gaither has struggled as the main back as he had -3 yards on 5 carries, and Sophomore RB Zaleel Hamby is used more as a receiver out the backfield than a pure Running Back. Hamby finished with 9 carries for 13 yards, but chipped in 23 yards receving on 2 catches. Wright is easily the fastest back on the roster and he showcased his blazing speed on several occasions.
Sophomore DB J.D. Davis capped off the second half with a 74 yard interception return for a TD
Sophomore DB J.D. Davis continues to make strides in this Defense and is probably one of the most important players on the defense. The former Three-Star product from Maitland, FL really ignited the Seminoles runaway victory when he picked off a pass from Miami QB Del Paz and returned it 74 yards for the TD. After that point the Seminoles really never looked back. Davis also finished tied for Second on the team in the game with 5 tackles. Multiple Seminoles finished with picks today as Sophomore Isaac Boles had 2, Junior Detaro Levine had 2, and Freshman Ja'Carius Kidd had 1 as well.

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
UP NEXT: @ LOUISVILLE (4-1)
The Louisville Cardinals are a much improved team after finishing last season 7-6. They are already halfway to their win total from a season ago and have started the season off very strong. Their only loss was to #11 Kentucky in week 2.
Redshirt Senior QB Blake McPherson has been the anchor to the Cardinal offense this season, as he's completed 65% of this passes and thrown for 12 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. The Cardinal have transitioned into a potent pass first offense with him at the helm. His favorite target WR Clarence Parkerwill be a huge task for the Noles on the road this weekend.
Defensively, Draft prospect DE Sean Paraham(6'3", 250) who is Louisville's all time sack leader returns. With FSU struggling a bit in pass protection this season, he is really one to keep an eye on. LB Stanley Rush is Lousiville's tackling leader, and CB James Walker has steadily improved his draft stock and is one of the top Corners in the ACC.
Currently, there is a 3 way tie in the ACC Atlantic for first place between, Clemson, FSU and Louisville. So this game has huge conference implications.
Florida State news of Note
With the injury to Tackle Redshirt Freshman Marcus Black, FSU will swap Tackles Derique Smith and Bob Martin. Smith will play Right Tackle, and Martin will play Left Tackle. Sophmore Bob Martin has only played right tackle throughout his short career at FSU. FSU is looking for the right tandems to shore up the pass protection.
Guard Alex Benson will remain the starter at Right Guard in place of the injured Shelvin Borker.
INJURIES
OT Marcus Black - 1 to 2 weeks Strained Quad
OG Shelvin Borker - 1 to 2 weeks Sprained Ankle
SUSPENSIONS
None.
*Tight End David Davis has now been cleared to play after serving a 4 game suspension.Comment

Re: FSU: The Rebuild and "the Return" (NCAA 2019 Dynasty)
GAME RECAP
Spoiler
NOLES CRUSH CARDINAL 66-10
In the most lopsided victory Florida State has had under Head Coach Cameel Verner, it was one of the ages. After the Cardinal got out to a quick 7-0 lead to start the game, the Noles came firing on all cylinders. In the remaining 3 quaters, the Noles tallied 59 points to end the game. The majority of the starters sat out the 4th quarter of the game.
Sophomore Quarterback Sarderrious Minter had a strong outing finishing 21/31 331 yards and 4 Touchdowns with no turnovers. Backup Quarterback Clay Tillman had a strong outing in his first real action of the season, going 8/11 124 yards and 1 TD.
Running Game takes significant backseat to Passing Explosion
The run game was never a huge emphasis this game until late in the game when FSU wanted to chew clock. However, Freshman RB Trey Wright got his first career start over veteran Kartrelle Gaither, and finished with 16 carries for 56 yards. However, six Seminole receivers tallied over 3 catches for the game. Sophomore Jamar Reid lead the pack with 8 catches for 133 yards, while the team's leading receiver, Freshman Orbit Jackson finished with 4 catches for 89 yards. Sophomore Kennard Thomas had 3 catches , two going for touchdowns on his 75 yard totaling evening.
Defense continues to be stingy
The Noles blew a coverage in the first quarter which led to Louisville going up 7-0 at the beginning of the game, but after that the Defense played arguably its best it has all season long. Mutliple Seminoles scored on defense on pick sixes, after the Seminoles racked up a total of 4 interceptions on the day. Sophomore DB J.D. Davis continues to play strong as he etches his name in the conversation for the Thorpe award as he finished with 3 tackles and an interception. Sophomore reserve DB Colton Hathaway recorded his first career interception and also his first career touchdown on the same play.
