    Week 10 Recap

Oregon's Big Comeback Ends Michigan's Perfect Season

Ann Arbor - For three quarters on Saturday, the defending champs had it all working against another top 10 team, and seemed to be asserting themselves as a possible favorite to repeat as champs, but Dillon Gabriel and the Ducks had other plans. Trailing 24-3 entering the fourth quarter, the Ducks scored 24 unanswered points, including a TD strike from Gabriel to Evan Stewart in the final minute that left the 100,000+ in the big house stunned. As the Oregon Ducks completed the improbable comeback to win 27-24. Oregon now holds the top spot in the conference at 5-1, tied with Michigan, and Washington. Oregon and Washington still have a battle to wage in the coming weeks, and there are four other teams at 4-1 who can still crash the party. It will be a wild ride down the stretch to see who will earn the trip to Indianapolis to play for a championship. If that wasn't exciting enough here's the rest of the Top 25 action this past week:

Gameday Comes to Death Valley for SEC Showdown

Baton Rouge - The LSU Tigers will try to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive on Saturday as they welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to Death Valley. With two losses on their ledger the Tigers can't afford another defeat if they want to play meaningful football in December. The Tigers still have a shot to play for the SEC title if they can win out, but first have to go through the #3 Ranked Tide, who only have a last second defeat to Georgia on their resume'. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST from Tiger Stadium. Here's how the rest of the Top 25 will matchup as we head down the stretch towards the playoff.

Georgia is Last Undefeated Standing at Top of CFP Rankings

Thanks to a last second win in Jacksonville against the previously undefeated Florida Gators, and Oregon's win at Ann Arbor. The Georgia Bulldogs now stand alone as the only undefeated team left in the FCS. Which of course puts them as the firm #1 in both the CFP, and AP Polls. Here's how the rankings shake out this week, and the projection of the college football playoff bracket based on these rankings.

Heatbreak in Happy Valley for Huskies

Harrison Wallace III brings in a pass in the fourth quarter to set up the game winning FG.

University Park - The Huskies playoff chances took a likely critical blow on Saturday night as Chase Meyer hit a 33 yard field goal as time expired to push the Nittany Lions past Washington 20-17 at Beaver Stadium. The Huskies moved the ball well early on, but critical mistakes in the red zone left them playing catch up all night. Ryan Otton got the ball all the way down to the goal line on the opening drive but fumbled the ball before crossing the plane. It bounced out of the end zone for a touchback killing the Huskies chance to score. Their next red zone opportinity resulted in an interception after Washington elected to go for it on 4th and goal squandering another opportunity for points, tack on a missed field goal by Grady Gross, and it was three red zone trips that came up empty for the Dawgs in the first half. Still Will Rogers was able to guide the team down late for a score to tie the game at 17 with a 90 seconds left, but it proved to be too much time for Drew Allar and Penn State, as they were able to move the ball into range for Meyer to hit the game winning kick sending the home crowd into a frenzy, and likely sending UW out of the Big Ten title race. The Huskies will now have to win out for any shot at the Big Ten title game, and get some help if they have any hopes of competing for a playoff spot.

          Week 11 Recap

Bama Takes Care of Business in Death Valley

Baton Rouge - Jalen Milroe threw for four touchdowns as he continued his Heisman push, and kept the Crimson Tide in line for a shot at a potential rematch with Georgia in the SEC title game as Alabama went into Death Valley and pulled away with a comfortable 44-24 win over the LSU Tigers on Saturday. The loss likely ends LSU's chances at a playoff spot with five teams now ahead of them in the SEC standings, and three losses to their record. Here's how the rest of the Top 25 fared as we come down the stretch towards the final CFP rankings.

Huskies Pick Up Two More Commits for 2025

The Huskies may have had a rough time in Happy Valley this past week, but did pick up a couple of big commitments for next season. 4-star safety Bradley Brazill (439 NAT, 39 CA, 22 S) had long been projected to sign with the Huskies, and finally gave them his verbal commitment this week along with 3-star guard Jesse Samuel (503 NAT, 1 NV, 16 G) out of Las Vegas. That brings the total number of commitments to 12 for the Huskies as the 2025 class begins to take shape for Jedd Fisch.

            Week 12 Preview vs. UCLA

Seattle - Senior night is upon us as the season winds down for the Huskies. They will welcome a familiar face to Seattle this week as their fellow former PAC-12 counterparts, the UCLA Bruins come to town. The Bruins have had an up, and down season but are still in the mix for a bowl bid, and will no doubt be motivated by that to take down the Huskies in this one. Meanwhile the Huskies are looking to shake off last weeks gut wrenching loss at Penn State and keep a sliver of hope alive for a college football playoff bid. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST from Husky Stadium.

              Huskies Smother Bruins 42-9

Toby Erickson showboats his way into the endzone during the Huskies big win.

Seattle - At a snowy Husky Stadium on Saturday night the Huskies let out some frustration from their heartbreaking loss last week. Will Rogers threw for 314 yards, and three scores while the Husky defense made Ethan Garbers night miserable sacking him eight times en route to a 42-9 drubbing of UCLA by Washington. The team from southern California looked uncomfortable all night long in the cold, and snowy conditions, and the Huskies did not feel like making it any better for them putting up their best defensive performance of the season. Curley Reed III was the star with two sacks, and a forced fumble that Toby Erickson picked up for a score to really put the game out of reach in the third quarter. Meanwhile the snow didn't seem to affect the Washington passing game as Will Rogers carved up the Bruins efficiently and often. The win sets the Huskies up with a showdown in two weeks against their hated rivals from Oregon where a win could very well put them into a college football playoff spot.

                Week 12 Recap

Georgia Stays Unbeaten with Win Over Tennessee

Athens - The Georgia Bulldogs remained the only unbeaten team in the land as they methodically wore down the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday for a 23-10 win. The victory clinched the Bulldogs a spot in the SEC Championship game, and almost assuredly will put them into the college football playoff barring a collapse of epic proportions this week against UMass. Here's how the rest of the Top 25 fared in Week 12:

The Huskies picked a good week for visits as many recruits liked what they saw from the Dawgs in their 42-9 thumping of UCLA. Five players gave their verbal commitment to Washington, which runs the total for UW to seventeen players who say they will be wearing purple, and gold next season. Here's the list of commitments the Huskies have currently obtained:

Gameday Rolls into Stillwater for Massive Big-12 Showdown

Stillwater - Big 12 Championship, and College Football Playoff spots are on the line this week as the Texas Tech Red Raiders (9-1, 6-1) roll into Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-2, 5-2). A win for either team would clinch their spot in the Big-12 title game, and more than likely at least an at large bid into the 12 team field for the college football playoff. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST from Boone Pickens Stadium. Here's a look at the rest of the Top 25 schedule this week:

Could Rivalry Game be On Tap for Playoff?

The new college football playoff format always had the potential to give us some intriguing matchups, but none would be bigger than the current 6/11 game that is currently on tap based on this weeks rankings. There's still weeks of football left to be played, and no doubt these rankings will shift, but a matchup between Ohio State and Michigan in a playoff atmosphere would no doubt set the college football world abuzz. Here's how the rankings and bracket look through 12 weeks.

Will Howard, Carson Beck Down to the Wire for Heisman

It seems to be a two man race for the Heisman trophy at this point in the season. While Will Howard has the slight edge statistically Carson Beck currently has his Georgia team undefeated on the season. It will be interesting to see how the voters will decide between the two once the season is complete. Here's where our current projections are:

                    On the Recruiting Trail

Coach Jedd Fisch has worked wonders in his first season at the helm of the Washington Huskies. Washington currently is ranked as a top 5 class heading into the 2025 season, and picked up another 4-star commitment this week from Louis Yarborough (400 NAT, 5 OR, 59 ATH). That makes it 18 commitments so far for the purple and gold in 2025.

                      Week 14 Preview at Oregon

Eugene - A game with massive Big Ten, and College Football Playoff implications is on tap this Saturday as the Washington Huskies head to Eugene to close out the season against the Oregon Ducks. Oregon sits atop the Big Ten in their first year as a member of the conference tied at 7-1 with Ohio State. A win would clinch a spot in the Big Ten championship game for either team however, as the Huskies can tie Oregon, and win the tie breaker with a win. While Oregon may not necessarily be out of the college football playoff with a loss, a fourth loss would certainly knock UW out of any playoff consideration, so the stakes are high in this showdown. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EST from Autzen Stadium.

Gameday Heads to Columbus with Big Ten Title Spot on the Line

Columbus - A spot in the Big Ten Championship game is on the line as the defending champion Michigan Wolverines head to the Horseshoe to take on their hated rivals the Ohio State Buckeyes. A win for either team clinches a spot in the Big Ten title game, and in all likely hood a college football playoff berth. Michigan has beaten Ohio State in their last three meetings, after a string of eight straight wins by the Buckeyes in the 2010s. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM EST from Ohio Stadium. Here's where the rest of the Top 25 is headed in the final week of the regular season:

                          Ducks Run Over Washington 32-20

Jordan James carries the ball during Oregon's win Saturday.

Eugene - Jordan James ran for 169 yards, and two scores as the Oregon Ducks secured their spot in the Big Ten championship game, and most likely the college football playoff with a 32-20 win over the rival Huskies at Autzen Stadium. Oregon came out fast, and jumped out to a big lead at 23-0 early in the second half, but Will Rogers found his rhythm, and tried to lead the Dawgs back on a miraculous comeback. The Huskies made things interesting enough cutting it all the way down to a one score game late at 26-20. Oregon recovered the onside kick however, and a few plays later James cruised into the endzone with his second touchdown of the day to seal it. The loss knocks the Huskies out of the college football playoff picture, and now they will wait to see what bowl game they get the invite to to close out Jedd Fisch's first season as head coach.

                            Week 14 Recap

Ohio State Secures Big Ten Title Game Spot with OT Win in Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor - The Michigan/Ohio State rivalry has provided us with a lot of great moments over the years, and we were treated to another one on Saturday as the two team battled back, and forth with playoffs, and championships on the line. Ultimately it was the Buckeyes who prevailed in overtime to secure their spot in the Big Ten championship, and most likely the college football playoff with a 42-36 win over the Wolverines. The loss most likely eliminates Michigan from any chance of defending their championship in the playoff which means we will be guaranteed a new national champion in 2024. Here's how the rest of the Top 25 wrapped up the 2024 regular season:

                            On the Recruiting Trail

The Huskies picked up another commitment this week from TE Jason Trupicka (485 NAT, 45 CA, 30 TE) as they head towards early signing day. Overall it looks like a strong class has been put together by first year coach Jedd Fisch, and now we will wait to see which players actually put their name to paper to play for the Dawgs in 2025.

Ouch, that one hurt. i've noticed in dynasty that if you get down early it seems really hard to get back into the groove of things on both sides of the ball.

a couple other teams in the T25 lost too, so hopefully you don't stumble too far
