COACH SCOTT ATOP EVERYONE'S WISH LIST

Despite signing a 3 year deal with Texas Tech, several top programs in the nation have reached out prior to TTU's playoff game vs Coach Scott's former team Boise State asking for a chance to interview.

Ohio State finished a disappointing 8-4 and missed the Big Ten Championship for a 2nd straight year as they are looking to move on from Ryan Day.

USC's Lincoln Riley has decided after another disappointing 8-4 season that it's time to hit the road and try the NFL, leaving the Trojans without a HC.

Washington has never recovered from Kalen DeBoar leaving as Jedd Fisch is let go after a 7-5 season.

BYU is ready for a new HC after a disappointing 4-8 season and just 1-7 in the Pac-12 tying San Jose State and San Diego State for last place.

    Coach Scott
"It's a honor that this many schools see the value I bring to a program, but I made it very clear when I took the job here at TTU, that I was in it for the long haul, and that there was no need for a buyout option on my contract because I wasn't leaving for any other school except the opportunity to go back to BSU as the HC if Coach D was to leave."

My initial response was why them. I get it, it makes for a great story, Former OC leads his team to the playoffs in his first year, and hey lets make him play his former team the 2 time National Champions in Round 1.

Then I thought about it and I said, well if anyone is going to beat them and keep them from #3, I guess it should be me.

Some big name schools there. Would for sure be hard to turn them down. But, being the 1st year in Lubbock, I can see where you are coming from? Any ideas about what your end game plan is for this dynasty, Deuce? Going back to BSU? Are you going to a Big 4 Blue Blood or staying in Lubbock?

Also crazy on drawing your boys as your very 1st playoff match up after leaving them.

            RED RAIDERS END BRONCOS REIGN!!!

Coach Scott took exactly 10 mins pre-game to congratulate Coach Danielson and his former team from another solid season and the Broncos 5th trip to the Playoffs. He shook hands and gave hugs to some of his former recruits and wished them a good game. Then he walked across the field and put on his headset. It was time... Coach Scott no longer had Blue Blood running through his veins. He was 100% Red.

Boise State won the toss and elected to kick giving TTU's star Freshman QB GNK his first crack at the Bronco Defense that has been so good for the past 4 5 years. GNK would deliver connecting on his first 4 pass's including a 40 yd TD strike to SR LJ Johnson to make it (7-0).

Now it was BSU FR QB Willie Smokers turn. Smoker wouldn't have as good of a series as BSU is forced to punt. In facts BSU would end up punting 3 times in the 1st Quarter as it comes to a close with TTU leading (7-0).

Texas Tech opened up the 2nd Quarter with another Touchdown as GNK finds SR Chandlin Myers fresh off the IR for a 30 yd score to make it (14-0). BSU would fire back as Smoker finds Terron "T-Money" Sermon on a 26 yd score to make it (14-7), but GNK comes back out firing his 3rd TD of the day hitting TD machine Erich Schumacher on a 39 yd score to make it (21-7) with less then 4 minutes to play.

The TTU D comes up big with a stop on 4th down as the Broncos try and convert a 4th and 1 giving TTU 1 more chance at a score before the half. GNK fired, Schumacher was open, but the ball bounces off his hands to the turf leading to a 48 yd FG by Wade Eckert to make it (24-7) at the half.

Boise State would take the opening kickoff of the 2nd half 42 yds before FR Elias Pool was tackled. Smoker then would find his big TE Carlos Mack for 3 straight completions including a 9 yd score to make it (24-14).

TTU would end up with 2 drives killed by RB Kenyon Enis but the TTU D comes up big giving up just 3 points off the 2 turnovers as Juan Procter goes 1/2 on FG's hitting from 42 and missing from 37 to make it (24-17).

Boise State would use a healthy dose of JR RB Montrell Zuber (92 Ovr) in the 4th. Zuber had announced before the game he would be entering the NFL draft and Coach Scott knew that he wouldn't want this to be his last game. Zuber delivered racking up 57 yds in the 4th Quarter to finish the day with 92 yds on 21 carries, including a 33 yd run to the 1 yd line. Smoker took the snap and looked for Zuber to finish the drive but instead rolled right and kept it himself for the 1 yd score as BSU ties the game (24-24).

GNK led the Red Raiders back out onto the field with just under 4 minutes to play. Both teams wanted this win. Nobody wasn't giving up without a fight. Both Defenses were playing tough as TTU again fails to convert on a 3rd and 8. Coach Scott ran the offense out 1 more time. GNK converts hitting Schumacher for the 1st Down. But the Bronco D comes up big again forcing a decision for Scott and Texas Tech 4th and 2. 2:58 to play. Scott sends Eckert out for the go ahead 33 yd FG. (27-24).

BSU and Smoker would have their chance to put it away with a touchdown, but now it was the TTU holding strong and forcing BSU and Coach D to settle for a 39 yd FG by Procter. The game was tied (27-27).

TTU still armed with 3 timeouts would try and win it in regulation but the Bronco D stepped up once again. This game was going to Overtime.

BSU again wins the toss and elects to start on D. The Defense who had just shut down the Red Raiders Offense for the entire 2nd half. The Defense that would do it again as Scott if forced to kick the FG...

Now it was TTU's turn to try and get the stop and that's when great players to great things.

SR CB Isaiah Collins was said to be the best player at TTU (91 Ovr) when Coach Scott arrived. Nominated a Team Captain by his teammates Collins was the teams leading tackler through the first 3 games but a injury in Week 7 forced Collins to miss the last 6 games of the regular season. Tonight was his first game back and tonight he showed why he is projected as a 1st Round Draft Pick in this years NFL Draft.

Despite BSU having 3 very solid WR's in Alex Harris, Anthony DiMarco, and T-Money Sermon, Collins knew it was the 6'5 Harris that Smoker would look for to make a big catch here late in the game and Collins was ready as he reads the pass perfectly to the game winning INT.. For a minute the play and how the game ended brought flashbacks to Texas Tech's loss to Texas this season for Coach Scott. Then it finally sunk in as the Gatorade was being poured over his head.. He had just led the Red Raiders to the schools first ever playoff appearance and his team just won the game..

                A TALE OF 2 HALVES!!

For a 2nd straight Week, Texas Tech played a great half of football.. Every Media outlet in the country was talking about the matchup GNK vs Heisman winner Puglisi. A Freshman vs a Senior and the expected outcome with Georgia moving on to play for a chance at the National Title for a 2nd straight year. Problem is there isn't going to be any runner up finish for these Bulldogs.

TTU and GNK came out firing as the Red Raiders score 3 times in the opening quarter with as GNK hits on scores of 61, 31 and 54 yds including 2 TD's to SR WR Chandlin Myers who once again has a huge game.

Georgia finally got on the scoreboard early in the 2nd Quarter as Puglisi throws the first of 3 TD's on the day to make it (21-7), but GNK showed he can make plays with his feet as well running in from 29 yds out to put TTU up (28-7) at the half.

The Bulldogs opened the 2nd half with the ball as Puglisi connects on TD #2 to make it (28-14). Then after a GNK INT, Georgia would add a 33 yd FG to make it (28-17). With the ground game struggling, Coach Scott was left with no other options then to just let GNK throw. The game plan was simple, as Scott uses past knowledge handed down over the years from Coach Mike Leach.. Attack the Grass.. Throw the ball where the Defender isn't. Well it worked for 4 plays before a phantom defender came out of no where intercepting GNK for the 2nd time on the night.

Down by 11, Georgia continued their well balance attack as SO RB Teddy Maddox breaks a 35 yd run and then another 12 yd gain before punching it in from 10 yds out. The Bulldogs would leave the offense on the field and Puglisi would convert the 2pt play making it (28-25) as we head to the 4th.

TTU who hadn't scored since the the 5 minute mark in the 2nd Quarter, would finally put some points on the scoreboard as SR Wade Eckert hits from 39 yds out to make it (31-25) with 7 minutes still to play. The next 4 minutes was like a title fight in a boxing match as each fighter would land a a blow here and there trying to feel out their opponent before landing the final blow. Georgia thought they had it as Puglisi connects on the go ahead score with 2:58 to play putting the Bulldogs up (32-31). But the story wasn't over. Despite 2 INT's and despite the fact TTU was just 3/13 on 3rd down. GNK wasn't ready for this chapter in his life to be over. The Georgia D continued their pursuit of the Freshman though registering 3 sacks on the final series but each time GNK got knocked down he got up and would connect on pass to give his team another chance, including a 4th a 4 that kept TTU's Championship hopes alive and with 35 seconds to play TTU took the lead as Eckert connects on his 2nd FG in the 4th to put Texas Tech back on top (34-32).

Georgia out of timeouts however wasn't giving up.. After a minimal return Georgia was faced with 80 yds to go with 25 seconds to play. Puglisi need just 1 to cover half almost half of that as he hits SO WR George Cashman on a 34 yd gain. After spiking the ball to stop the clock. Puglisi would drop back again looking for a open receiver but nobody is open forcing Puglisi to run and for a 2nd straight game the Defense comes up big as SO MLB Brian Gibbs (76) pops the ball loose and recovers... TTU has won the game upsetting #1 Georgia. The Red Raiders are going to the Semi Finals.

                FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-34 GEORGIA-32

                Coach Scott
"I got to give credit to guy's on both sides of the ball on both teams. This kids never gave up and they left 110% on the field. I had the pleasure of watching some Elite QB play the past 4 season with Malachi Nelson and Maddux Madsen at BSU and GNK and Ryan Puglisi are elite. It was fun to watch.. Do we have some things we need to work on? Of course we do...We need to play elite football for 4 quarters and not leave everything up for chance.. There is always room for improvement"

I would love to some how go full circle and end up at BSU as the HC, but I am not sure how old they made Coach Danielson in the game and with it being a 30 year Dynasty, I would assume he would retire at some point.

I personally have never been one to want to coach at a school like Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan. I love the idea of building up a small program and making them good or at least turning what was a great program once back into a national power. I would be open to a return to the Pac-12 at some point as well to a school like WSU or even Oregon State, I just didn't want to do it well Boise State was still loaded with all the recruits I had brought in. I also could see myself going to another school that use to be a non-power 5 but is in a power 5 conference now like maybe a UCF or UCF in the SEC and building them up as well.

TEXAS TECH/TEXAS REMATCH FOR A CHANCE AT THE NATIONAL TITLE!!!

#5 Texas defeated #12 Kansas State (38-31) to setup the rematch everyone is excited to see..

#6 Notre Dame end #3 Oregon undefeated beating the Ducks (44-6) and ending their chances at a National Title.

#2 Michigan also ends #10 Maryland undefeated season as well with a (34-22) victory. This marks the 3rd time Michigan is headed to the Semi Finals in the past 5 years. Question is can they get past Notre Dame.

If you asked me at the beginning of the year I would've said never in a million year. after the TCU loss if I thought it was possible. I would say 99% that this team was going to be a 8-4, 9-3 type team at the end of the year. Then we beat TAMU, then we beat Houston and then Baylor and I was like okay. Then we lost to Texas, but at 10-2 I knew we would get in and once that happens it's a Any Given Saturday/Sunday, where sometimes the better team (Higher rated) doesn't always bring it and the underdog prevails. That's been our story all year.

It's crazy at the start of the year I knew my #1WR was LJ Johnson. Not only did he have the Best Overall, but his #'s across the board was better and it translated with the CPU use of him in prior seasons.

I wasn't sure who my #2 was going to be. Cashman had the better Overall, but Myers had the size (6'3) that I love. Schumacher automatically got slid down to #4 and even though I was running a Air Raid with 4 WR sets alot, he wasn't really getting the ball. Then Myers went down and all of a sudden the dude was lighting up the stat columns. He has been my Branch of this offense. Best part is he is only a Junior so I will have him next year as my #1 and actually have Cashman back to as my #2, so now I just need to find a new #3/#4..

GNK has also been huge he has 20 INT on the year, but 15 of those were in Weeks 1-6, so since then he has thrown only 5 since then and 2 of those were in the last game and we still won..

What has surprised me most is the Defense. Collins is a stud at CB and Morgan and Depaloa are solid SS's who lead my team in tackling and have like 22 Pass Deflections. (if only they could turn some more of those into INT's.

But it's guy's like Josh Baadknews who was originally going to be a backup DE who then became a starter, then a DT, then a OLB giving me 10 TFL and 4.5 sacks its guy's like my # CB stepping in for Collins and giving me 3 key INT's

What's even more exciting is the recruits I am landing. My 0-Line should be better next year and now I got some legit depth on the Defense too. Plus a year of growth for GNK.

                          TTU GETS IT'S REVENGE!!

Texas won the regular season matchup and in turn secured the spot in the Conference Championship and the 1st Round Bye in the playoffs, but Texas Tech got it's revenge when it matter the most.

                          GAME RECAP

Just like BSU and Georgia, Texas Tech jumped out to a early lead going up (14-0) in the 1st and (21-0) in the 2nd Quarter before the Longhorns finally got on the scoreboard with a touchdown with 3 minutes to play in the half. A TTU Fumble (Enis again) killed the Red Raiders chance at 1 more score before the half.

Texas opened the the 2nd half with the ball and Loyd let the team on a 12 play 80 yd drive to make it (21-14). Then it was Eric Schumacher coughing up the ball as the Longhorns recover and Texas makes them pay as SO RB Rashard Livings scores to tie the game (21-21) as we go to the 4th Quarter.

TTU opened up the 4th Quarter scoring with GNK's 4th passing TD of the day as Schumacher makes the catch trying to make up for his earlier fumble.

Leading (28-21) the TTU Defense went hard and force Texas into a 3 and out, but a quick INT by GNK gave it right back. Texas wouldn't squander the opportunity as Loyd connects on his 3rd passing TD of the day. to make it (28-27). Texas however left the offense out there to try and take the lead instead of just kicking the PAT to tie the game up.

The Red Raiders were ready as Josh Baadknews gets Loyd in the backfield . Leading by 1 point with under 4 minutes to play, TTU would try and use the ground game to chew up some clock and but GNK had other plans, as he takes the snap and runs 71 yds down to the 9yd line, before connecting with TE Trevor Kugbila for the score to make it (35-27) still with over 3 minutes to play in the game.

Texas had it's chance to score moving the ball 69 yds over 7 plays but now with time running out, it was the TTU Defense stepping up to force a decision with a 4th and 4.. Loyd would drop back but Baadknews is there again for his 2nd sack of the game. as the Longhorns turn the ball over on downs.

                          FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-35 TEXAS-27

                          TE S. Umana-3 rec 39 yds 2 TD

                          MICHIGAN D SHUTS DOWN IRISH

Texas Tech and Coach Scott will take on #2 Michigan for the National Title, as the Wolverines take care of business against the Irish (34-17).

Notre Dame scored 34 points in the opening round win over Auburn and scored 44 points in their win over Oregon but 2 costly INT's by SR QB CJ Carr led to TD's both times by the Wolverines including 1 as a Pick 6 by SR FS Jacob Oden.

I'm off here for about a week and missed another Boise natty, Coach Scott making the move to Lubbock, and the Red Raiders ending the Broncos' dynasty and now about to play for their own natty!

What a special debut season with Texas Tech. GKN really had a chaotic start to the year, but has been unstoppable as of late and seems like he's a different type of signal-caller than what you had with Malachi Nelson. I can't see Coach Scott jumping ship to an Ohio State or USC just yet, but even with the early success Texas Tech probably doesn't have quite the same pull on him as Boise did, so maybe another move is a possibility.

                              Best of luck against Michigan!

GNK and Nelson are actually pretty similar in alot of ways, but GNK is way faster (92 speed) and is labeled a Scrambler vs Nelson was a Field General (Tendency's the game has in CF25).

I had noticed your absence, but hopefully you have had time to catch up. Well I never expected too win so soon with TTU, I feel like I want to stick around at least 4 years unless GNK ends up leaving early for the NFL. It would be nice to see my first recruiting class maybe even graduate so maybe 5 years. The Dynasty mode on here is a 30 year campaign. Like I mentioned earlier I would love to make a return to Boise but we could see Coach Scott maybe take on the challenge of building up a small school or I might just save that for a future Dynasty. Now that College Football is being made again it will be interesting to see how often a new game comes out and what they do different. So I guess that will decide how many threads I have created on here by then.
