    ROCHESTER UPDATE

    GF 69 (1st)
    GA 58 (15th)
    16.5% PP (2nd)
    84 % PK (12th)

The Baby Panthers are mimimicing thier parent as they are 11-6-1 with 23 points and 2nd in the East.

Lead by Taylor with 25 pts, Dvorak (will be called up after Booths suspension) with 19 pts, and recent draft picks Schnieder and Backer with 16 and 13 points respectively, the team has been preforming reasonable well (Rochster was 3rd last year in the East, but bowed out after the 1st round).

Hopefully they can continue this success and go farther in the post season then last year.

    Top 5 Scores:

    Taylor 8-17-25
    Dvorak 6-13-19
    Schnieder 7-9-16
    Kulikov 2-12-14
    Backer 6-7-13

With Dvorak being called up, Rochester lines look like this:

    McArdle (77) - Taylor (81) - Repik (77)
    *Schnieder (76) - Taffe (76) - Oreskovick (79)
    *Backer (76) - Ryder (76) - *Clint Smith (71)
    Dedanov (75) - Devereaux (75) - Callen (70)

    *Hobson (77) - Wilson (76)
    Ellerby (77) - Kulikov (77)
    *Ebbett (75) - Aston (75)

    Plante (77) - Danis (75)

Nice update, it'll be interesting to see Thompson chase history this season. Out of curiosity what difficulty are you playing on?

        Hey Sens,

Thanks, I really hope he achieves it. But he's kind of behind with only 2.25pts/game instead of 2.61pts/game to hit 215 in 82 games.

Playing at Superstar. I have really nailed down the dump and chase.

Interesting to hear you've mastered the dump and chase. That is not my style of hockey but I always thought it would be a huge advantage to have that in your arsenal. You are proving that theory correct!

Trading stats for non-stats is always a rough deal. On paper it looks like a brutal trade but they you realize that it's just stats. But then you realize you can't judge toughness by stats. Not saying your trade was brutal. Just how trades of that nature look. Hopefully you understand what I'm saying?

Both NHL and AHL squads are doing quite well for you! Keep it up!

Totally understand. I some times make moves other people don't understand, but thats just me.

Yeah, both are doing reasonably well. By the way love your Caps dynasty. To be honest the two I really enjoy are yours and sens. Great stories.

              10 Game Recap:
              (Games 21 to 30)

Panthers went 6-3-1 in the last 10. Had 35 GF and 32 GA in that stretch.

              Season Stats:

Panthers are 24-5-1 with 49 pts, are 1ST in the East (Caps are 5 points behind)
              GF: 118 (Tied for 1st with WSH) GA: 77 (3rd) PP: 20.4% (3rd) PK: 85% (14th)

              Top 5 Scorers:

              Thompson 32-30-62
              Lukes 10-23-33
              Booth 13-19-32
              Smith 4-22-26
              Frolik 13-13-26

Fedorov 20-3 2.42 GAA (2nd in the League)
              Salak 4-3 2.94 GAA

Belak 101 pims (3rd in the League)

              Run Down:

The Panthers still remain on top, while slowly increasing thier PP and PK efficiency.

Thompson added another 17 pts during the stretch to hit 62 pts, still roughly 20 pts ahead of 2nd place Crosby with 42. Lukes and Booth (Booth missed 3 games with a suspension) are also in the top 10 in the NHL with 33 and 32 points respectively.

Smith holds the most points for NHL D-Men with 26 while Volchenkov and Hannan are not far behind with 19 and 17 points respectively.

Thoresen has been a great bonous to the Panthers Offense adding 10 goals in 29 games (has 15 pts so far with the Panthers and is 8th on the team).

Fedorov and Salak are ranked 3rd in the league with 77 GA, while Russian goalie Fedorov is 2nd in the League with a GAA of 2.42.

Going 600 during that last 10 games is not bad, if they keep going at this pace the Panthers could produce another 100 + point season and definately secure another great spot in the post season.

              Team Notes/Events:

              Belak (Nov 17th 2010):
Taking the body to the boards is what Belak does best but in this case it took him out to. Killing a penalty, Belak tried to strong arm Jovanovski into the boards, which he exceeded in doing. But he also wound up falling on his right wrist, and with a snap that everyone heard, he's down for the count. Listed as a serious wrist injury, Belak will be out for 10 games and is expected to be back on Dec 10th against the Flyers. In his absence Stillman was slotted into the lineup (His first time this season).

              Booth (Nov 21 2010):
After sitting out 3 games with a suspension (Booth took Blue Jackets D Sami Salo into the boards and was matched with a 3 game suspension penalty from the league), Booth came back with a vengeance and added 4 goals and tallied on 3 in 7 games. With Booth coming back someone had to go. Stillman (Only played 2 games, no points and a minus 2), was sent down to Rochester but he didn't clear waivers. Stillman (9 points in 82 games last year and was a complete disapointment to Pathners management) was picked up by the Rangers. Good riddance to a sub par player with a 3.5 million contract.

              Belak (Dec 10th 2010):
Belak was cleared by team doctors and will suit up for the home game against the Flyers. With Belak returning to the 4th line with Moore and Brashear, Dvorak was sent back to Rochester.

              Panthers Forward Lines:

              Booth-Thompson-Lukes
              Frolik-Thoresen-Recchi
              Olesz-Matthias-Reinprecht
              Brashear-Moore-Belak

I watched some highlights the other night of him killing the Flyers up and down the ice. Definetly caught my attention. He might be someone my Capitals might have to take a closer look at if the Sens fall our of contention. So I will be following him closely in your franchise!
Here are some stats for Volchenkov:

                09/10 : 82g, 3-23-26 pts, 118 pims, 105 shots

I wish they did too. I also wished they had a section for alltime lists like they do for NHL 2k10. There are alot of things I like about 2k but the graphics are crap. NHL rulz in this categorie, plus I like the play better for NHL 10. So I guess you win some and lose some.

                          15 Game Recap:
                          (Games 31 to 45)

Panthers went 12-2-1 in the last 15. Had 71 GF (4.73/game) and 49 GA (3.26/game) in that stretch.

                          Season Stats:

Panthers are 36-7-2 with 74 pts, are 1ST in the East (Beating last years record where they had played 56 games to achieve 74 pts)

                          GF: 189 (1st) GA: 126 (6th) PP: 20.7% (2nd) PK: 84.3% (18th)

                          Top 5 Scorers:

                          Thompson 48-48-96
                          Booth 19-35-54
                          Lukes 17-35-52
                          Frolik 19-21-40
                          Smith 4-34-35

                          Fedorov 28-5 2.65 GAA
                          Salak 8-4 3.12 GAA

                          Hannan 149 Hits
                          Smith 144 Hits
                          Volchenkov 137 Hits

                          Run Down:

The Panthers batted for 800 over that last 15 games, recording 71 GF and 49 GAA. While Superstar Thompson recorded 32 points in that stretch, 2.13pts a game. He is on pace for 175pts this year, 40 short of Gretzky's record 215.

The Panthers PP crept up a bit to 20.7, but thier PK slipped to 84.3%. They are 1st in GF, 6th in GA, and have a record +/- of 291. Another interest stat here is the number of hits the team has achieved so far, 1405, with 693 coming from the defence or 49%.

Thoresen, picked up earlier in the season, has been on a roll achieving just short of a point a game and moving up to 6th position on the Panthers scoring list.

The Panthers have a few games left until the All Star break were a few Panther players are expected to suit up for the East.

                          Team Notes/Events:

                          Belak (Dec 27 2010):
With a grunge match against Ottawa, Belak squared off against Marek Zidlicky and won the fight. Matched with a 5 minute major for fighting and a game misconduct for instigating, Belak was sent to the dressing room. After the game Belak and Panthers management were notified that the incident had been reviewed and that Belak would be suspened for 3 games.

In his absence D Alexei Semenov (Picked up during a trade with the Islanders during the Offseason that saw Koistinen to the Islanders for Babchuk and Semenov) will take his spot on the 4th line, uncoventional move but the Panthers weren't happy with anyone else on Rochester. Semenov had 6pts, -6, 97 pims in 49 games last year with the Islanders

                          Belak (Jan 5 2011):
Belak has served his suspension and will take his usual spot on the 4th line. Semenov (0-1-1pts,+2, 2 hits in 3 games) stays on the 4th line but takes Brashears spot.

                          Brashear (Jan 5 2011):
In what reporters are calling a "dreadful incident" regarding Brashear, Thompson, and Panthers management in the Panthers locker room, Brashear got the boot. Brashear was rumored to be not happy with his playing time this year and expressed those feelings in not so gentlemen way and was succulently dejected from the locker room and pretty much kicked out of the line-up. As mentioned above, Semenov will take his place and Brashear is banished to the press box.

                          Prospect Report:

                          1. LW Ed Schnieder 15-23-38pts in 41 games
                          2. LW Bjorn Backer 12-9-21pts in 41 games
                          3. LW Evgeny Dandonov 10-10-20pts in 38 games
                          4. C Dan Ryder 4-10-14pts in 41 games
                          5. D Curtis Hobson 1-11-14pts in 41 games

                          Rochester Update:

Rochester is 22-15-4, 48 pts and has slipped to 7th in the East.

                          Panther's Forward lines:

                          Booth-Thompson-Lukes
                          Frolik-Thoresen-Recchi

If you don't reach the Great Ones record at least you can count yourself in the 50/50 club, a great achievement in it's own right. Like the write up but is it possible to see some game scores?

Thanks Sens for the support. I probably won't hit the 215 mark this year but there's always next year.

Picky aren't we, with the game scores. making me do extra work eh?

LOL, I'm just curious to see how high scoring your games are.
