Run Down:
The Panthers played 600 hockey in the last 5 games before the All Star Break. They are still 1st in the East and if nothing fails will complete another record breaking season, on pace for 162 pts.
Thompson hit the 100 point mark, as well the 50-50 mark in goals and assists. Still 109 points short of Gretzky's record but none the less most likely a individual record breaking season (Finished last season with 144 pts).
The top 3 faceoff guys are Thompson, Matthias, and Thoresen with 55.4, 52.2, and 50.9 respectively. The top PP guys are Thompson, Booth, Frolik, and Thoresen with 6, 4, 4, and 4 PP goals a piece. On the PK side Thompson, Thoresen, and Moore have 8, 3, and 3 SH goals, not bad as the Panthers lead the league in SH goals.
Most of the Panthers get a small break as the All Star Game in Ottawa takes place, East vs West, should be good. After the break they start again with a game against Detroit.

East Roster (All Star Break):
3 lucky Panthers get to represent thier team at this years All Star Game in Ottawa. Thompson (106 pts this year), Booth (59 points this year) and Russian goalie Fedorov (29-7, 2.65 GAA) all will suit up for the East in Ottawa. Panthers fans are estatic as the rumor on the street says that Thompson will play along with Ovi on the top line.
Brashear (All Star Break):
After a recent incident Brashear was banished to the press box. But that wasn't enough, he was sent down to Rochester (cleared waivers unfortunately) and will not dress for the rest of the season. Unfortunate for him, but Panthers had to make an example to show the rest of the team that stuff like that will not be tolerated.

You are getting the Cup again if this continues the way it has been. I think Thompson is losing the fight against the Gretzky's record. But hopefully you prove I'm wrong.I'm a finn so don't be surprised if I spell words wrong.Comment
