But i know that my test game i only created the owner i was playing against. and it worked. Now before advancing the week i could easily retire him and advance and then do the same thing for the next team. The question is how the CPU handles retired owners.
I tested that eralier and it works just fine. When you retire as an owner the owner doesn't really retire, you just give up the control over that team.
I think thats the way I will play, since you still have all the trades and stuff like that.

Hi, yes, if you retire a non-created player, owner or coach they stay exactly where they are, you just relinquish control of them. If you retire a created player, owner or coach they disappear.

In M15, i noticed if you retired an owner, you could never be that owner ever again, but if you retired a coach then you could jump in and out of that same coach multiple times. This could be the same for M16

So if I understand you’re doing a cloud CFM and each opponent you play you create a user as their owner, retiring and coming back as owner of your next opponent.

I was under impression the only way to get around confidence skyrocketing was to do a 32 team league. Am I missing something?

Yes that is pretty much what I do, except that I do offline CFM.
I dont have drive goals and the confidence works just fine.
So I dont think you necessarily have to do a 32 team league.

You aren't missing anything. They are just talking about skipping 32 team control and doing it week by week, which sounds insanely more difficult than my earlier suggestion. Best bet is to create 32 team league, and toggle auto pilot on for everyone except you and your opponent for the week. After the game, turn it on for your opponent you just played, and turn off for the next. This will make your games user vs user which disables the goals and subsequent confidence boosts from them.

What they are doing or speaking of, is doing one owner and creating a character for the opponent and retiring them on a weekly basis. I can't fathom that being more simplistic than just toggling the auto pilot. And make sure if you do it my way, you turn auto pilot on after your last game so cpu can trade and fire coaches in off season.

Autopilot is not something I use for 32 team control.

I am however testing right now turning it on before the draft to see if it will result in the other 31 teams making draft day trades (trading up and down etc).

              Stay tuned.

And that works? Sounds like some extra work on the front end and just a quick click on and off before & after games.

How can I tell whether its working.
I've always enjoyed online cfm because you get updates quicker but maybe this year is different.

                Are you using a tuner?

awesome, then that is what i´m going to do. No 32 control for me lol-

                  @muelly

Dynamic drive goals are something that only work on Played game. Sim games doesn´t have drive goals, another reason why user has an advantage with this non sense system EA did.

So this way i avoid to get Drive goals on played game. then i retired and the team can do whatever they want. Trades, etc.

This is great news for me at least.

I can confirm the other 31 teams will make trades during the pre-season and season.

So that nixes the idea that you can't see trades between teams.

Also just so everyone understands coach firing.

You only have to set to off on your commissioner team (the first team you select to be a coach or owner for on the front end set up of your 32 team franchise).

No coaches were fired in my current test with it turned off on just my main teams profile.

So confidence boost and goals are only earned in user played games, not cpu sims? I'm getting a better handle on this I think.

A&S can you confirm this works? Your against autopilot, what if its only used for the opponent the week you play them.

Auto pilot does nothing for draft day trading.

So no purpose in putting teams on autopilot for the draft.

And this is done just setting everything for all 31 to cpu? No auto pilot?

Would you make other 31 teams coaches or owner?

                          Tuner or no tuner?

I'd like to know this as well. There is a lot of information all over this board and there seem to be a few contradictions.

I set up an offline CFM when Madden came out. Jason Garret profile is my commish. I wanted to play the Buffalo/Indy game so I created a Rex Ryan profile with all roster moves set to CPU and coach firing OFF and progression to Every Four Weeks. I did the same for Cleveland, Miami, San Diego, Tampa, Arizona, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City. I played the Week one game for all of those teams.

I played the Week 2 game as 1-0 Buffalo against 1-0 NE and beat them in the last minute 28-24. Confidence for almost all of the players on Buffalo is between 65-80 after two weeks.

                            Questions:

**Does this only work if you sim games?

**How come I have simulate game prep set to ON and after my game it still shows that I have 70 hours left?

**Did it not work because I didn't create all 32 coaches prior to starting?

All of the coaches I created are set to have the CPU handle all roster moves, Coach firings OFF, and Progress Players Every Four Weeks.

What happens if you just play in a normaly set up CFM and use the Dynamic Goals as something not to do and just make sure that you dont complete any of them for your team.
