Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
And that works? Sounds like some extra work on the front end and just a quick click on and off before & after games.
How can I tell whether its working.
I've always enjoyed online cfm because you get updates quicker but maybe this year is different.
Are you using a tuner?
Yes I'm using the tuner that auto downloaded for me. Haven't messed with it. And I only went into a couple games to test if it worked and it does just fine. Like you said, work on the front end but easy as can be after that.
I haven't started a legit franchise yet, as I'm waiting on the new rosters to balance out the speed issue, fingers crossed. Based on what others have said, I am also going to turn every QB to throw ball away and sense pressure as ideal to lower the amount of sacks in sims, which from my understanding helps control both QB and LT regression. As QB awareness goes down bc of high number of sacks and pbk for the linemen does as well. If that helps then it may be a complete solution to the multiple issues.
Hopefully they can patch in an option to turn the goals off and tune the sacks down which should make CFM a fantastic replica of Play Now which is AMAZING! Still holding out hope for this game. It's the best we've had in years, just have to work through the kinks.Comment

Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
And this is done just setting everything for all 31 to cpu? No auto pilot? - Correct. Forget autopilot. Too much going back and forth etc etc. 32 team control is easy and front end set-up is all you need and your off.
Would you make other 31 teams coaches or owner? - I would choose either all owners for all tams or all coaches for all teams and if you do coaches just decide if you want coach firing on or off. Off is the low maintenence option. If you want firings on just check each week starting after week 17 when coaches are fired and makes sure you retire/create a new coach for their respective teams so your draft goes smoothly. Also if your coach is fired for your main team you must create a new one or you will not participate in the off-season.
Tuner or no tuner?
I'd like to know this as well. There is a lot of information all over this board and there seem to be a few contradictions.- read above and choose who you want to believe.
I set up an offline CFM when Madden came out. Jason Garret profile is my commish. I wanted to play the Buffalo/Indy game so I created a Rex Ryan profile with all roster moves set to CPU and coach firing OFF and progression to Every Four Weeks. I did the same for Cleveland, Miami, San Diego, Tampa, Arizona, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City. I played the Week one game for all of those teams.
I played the Week 2 game as 1-0 Buffalo against 1-0 NE and beat them in the last minute 28-24. Confidence for almost all of the players on Buffalo is between 65-80 after two weeks.
Questions:
**Does this only work if you sim games?
**How come I have simulate game prep set to ON and after my game it still shows that I have 70 hours left?
**Did it not work because I didn't create all 32 coaches prior to starting?
All of the coaches I created are set to have the CPU handle all roster moves, Coach firings OFF, and Progress Players Every Four Weeks.

No, Sim games are not affected by this.
**How come I have simulate game prep set to ON and after my game it still shows that I have 70 hours left? I have no idea it could be a bug it has nothing to do with that we are trying to accomplish here.
**Did it not work because I didn't create all 32 coaches prior to starting?
No, this works with having both teams playing both being "user teams"
All of the coaches I created are set to have the CPU handle all roster moves, Coach firings OFF, and Progress Players Every Four Weeks.
The idea of this is to avoid DYNAMIC DRIVE GOALS that´s the only thing we are trying to bypass by doing this. (other people always played like this because they want to be in control of the whole league).
To make this work, what you have to have is User team must play another user team (you only control 1 team and the other will be controlled by the CPU)
Drive goals are disable.
How you get to this, there are several ways.
1.-controll all 32 teams
2,.control only 1 team and create a new character and retire after you played the game
and any other way you find. What you have to have 100% to avoid the drive goals is what i said. On your case you should have created another user for the cowboys.
Confidence is still moving, but at more balance rate. Watch my 2 videos from the 1st page i think 1 is with solo CFM and the other is playing against another team i created a character with.English, is not my first language.Comment

Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
I always makes some trades myself using 32 team control. If a team really needs a QB I'll pull a RGIII type trade and have them move up. It's fun.Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.Comment

Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
- I am testing the tuner again with a DL post patch. I can confirm if you DL the patch after you DL the tuner the QB play is off. I am testing now adding the tuner back with the patch already downloaded.
- I cam only answer for a full 32 team set-up. That is what I endorse. It's easy to set up on the front end and off you go. Everything for the other 31 teams can be auto and the league will run fine. The only thing you give up is draft day trades between CPU teams. But you can pause the draft and do them yourself if you want to add that layer. I am using a random number method....not going to get into it here. Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
So on the number 2 fix, this would involve simply creating a character for the team you are playing, eg I am bears so I create a Colts owner, I play bears v. Colts, and then I retire the colts owner? Actually seems better to me than the 32 control.

So far with the tuner re-dl after the patch...game feels great.
Need some more games to endorse it again though.
So hopefully it was just a case of having to delete and re-download it after the patch. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions
For the create an owner and retire him "fix" rather than 32 team control. I would strongly advise that you guys take a look at the teams finances. I do believe if you create an owner it resets the team finances to whatever the default is when you begin, meaning by using this method you are crippling teams financially.Comment
