I find I'm loving the rushing game more and more myself. Yes I do have issues at times with certain teams against other teams but then isn't that how it should be? Heck using the Cowboys the other night I thought "uh oh rushing is too easy" after I ran for 201 yards with Zeke, then the very next game I used the Bengals and got about 43 yards on 20 carries so...

Now if I could never run then yeah I'd agree it's horrible and I will also say I agree with some folks that some plays are just fubar'ed (like the ones where the backside guy tackles you about the time you get the handoff LOL) but overall I am liking the actual variety of rushing based upon matchup.

Really weird ... Was playing the 'MUT Challenge' or whateevr the new MUT mode is where you play against weird fantasy teams in challenges, and one of them was against a team full of Terrell Owens, every one on the roster... kind of a silly challenge

well... what's weird is...

RB Terrell Owens, behind O Line Terrell Owens... ran all over me, 10 carries for like 140 yards with gaping holes. I ended up winning the challenge like 35-6, but that 6 was an untouched scamper for ~40 yards. I hadn't seen anything like it in Madden this year.

Pro Difficulty, Arcade setting, I think. I normally play All Pro or All MAdden & Simulation setting.

Very odd.

I am also the Steelers and discovered that it’s not so much the running backs that are the problem it’s the plays. On some certain running plays defensive Players are not blocked whatsoever , they can just read the play and make the tackle in the backfield. Most single back weak side running plays are worthless. Most running plays will have a hole initially but is soon as you maneuver your back towards the hole , The lineman on offense stop blocking . Also I’ve seen that offensive linemen not involved will hold their blocks, only the linemen in the running hole stop blocking the defensive lineman they are engaged with and move away to just stand or look for someone else down field to block. Basically it boils down to the offensive line men not holding their blocks.

9/10 posts in here are about user running. In my opinion user running is the best it’s ever been. Where the real game issue lies is the lack of running attack from the cpu. Yes slider makers are working on it, but it would make the game so much more enjoyable if they could tune the cpu running game on default to have some punch and challenge.

I've only played 2 games so far, but I'm loving the user running. I'm getting yards with players I should be. And fighting to find a running game with lesser skilled running backs.

My issue lies in the cpu running game. I'm constantly getting tackles for loss, even with players who arent that good. That and the cpu running just seems to not really know what to do most of the time

The reason to not press turbo until you get into the open field is that the D-Line instantly block sheds when you hit it.

Am I wrong for thinking this is absolutely ridiculous? Like is this EA’s way of balancing the game?

If it didn't the game would be extremely unbalanced. If you could just abuse the turbo button every time you touch the ball what would even be the point of a turbo button? The way it's set up now is you have to know when to use it and when not to. Definitely required a more skillful hand which I like

I know, I agree..but I have made the CPU pretty good with sliders. In fact, think I may have to dial them back a little LOL

Could be a placebo because I went up to all madden this week. But it feels like the cpu is running just a tad bit better after the latest patch (default sliders/allmadden)

If only they'd allow you to set your kick meter to all-pro and play on all-madden. I just cannot kick on all-madden. It's especially bad if i have a beer or three...so I end up finding that I cannot use all-madden.

Would be nice if they had an option to set kicking level/speed separate.

Haha yeah man I feel ya. I had a few tall boys the other night and went 0 for 5 on field goals. I even missed an 11 harder. I haven't missed an 11 harder in almost 20 years lol

I wish they'd break apart the difficulty of the game even further and allow me to further piecemeal my own difficulty in this way.
