    Patience, Patience, Patience. Let your blocks develop. But, perhaps most importantly, look for the mismatches. Run to the side your line has the advantage. DON'T use the speed burst until you get past the line.

    Again, I cannot stress enough, let your blocks develop. And consider, that no matter what, some running plays are just going to fail, no matter what.

    I have had games where I average 3.5 ypc and games where I average over 5.0 ypc. I gained 102 yards on 18 carries with LeGarrette Blount in my last game. Playing online against a friend, I had a 97 yard TD run straight up the gut by Devonta Freeman.....

      I adjusted the player speed parity scale to 5 and have had some decent numbers and the cpu is doing just as well.

      Also found my success running through the middle more than outside runs as well

        I had my first 100+ yard game, mostly on outside runs, but I finally had some nice inside runs too. 30 attempts, 139 yards, 2 rushing tds. I ONLY pressed the turbo button once my blocker was sealed and I had an outside running lane, and on inside goalline runs I didn't press turbo at all, since that triggers defenders to shed their blocks.



        For those tough inside runs, I had to train myself not to sprint at all. I also ran mostly on the left, the strength of my offensive line, ran with 2 te sets a lot, and followed my fb making sure I didn't outrun him. And I have the run blocking slider set to 60 for both teams.



        As for the ai, they seem to run in a straight line, so maybe the ai run game needs to be patched.

          I use Armor and Swords CFM sliders and avg about 4.3 ypc. I have played about 10 games, and have gone over 100 team rushing all 10. I try and use a 50/50 split on carries with my backs. I run a power back scheme, no tosses or outside runs, just straight up the gut and into the teeth.


          For the CPU running game, check out Armors sliders, he has a very interesting RB edit, which does work. I tried for the first time last night, and the CPU for the first time in 9 games crossed 100 yards.

            i have patience however it is tested. in coach mode so no button pressing from me, the runner hesitates when receiving the ball, then when they get to the los, the outside rusher has run right round the tackle and murders the runner. it doesn't matter if the hb speed is 90 and 90 acc and the rusher has 70 spd/acc, or that the rusher had to get round a te outside the tackle or not. this is on default everything on all pro or pro. rookie i can rush for 400 yards so as a sim player that's not an option.
            i don't wait for the blocks to develop, the cpu is running the hb, like the opposition so it's fair, they don't even get to the los before they get mauled. 20 attempts for 30 yards is rubbish, and what's worse is that it should have been obvious in beta on any platform

            editing a roster, player or having to change from default sliders to get a normal running game means the game isn't balanced or working

                You must use the tools given to you and be patient... making sure defense is not in a good run fit... using run plays that work in conjunction with offensive line (finesse vs power run blocking).. also if getting stuck behind blockers use push pile mechanic

                  Push the pile is huge. It's practically mandatory at the goal line. Also movement on the stick must be very subtle. If you are trying to change direction to your left 11 o'clock on the stick is probably too much.

                        Yep I use Armors sliders and they work fantastic and do wonders for both running games.

                            You push UP on the right stick when you are behind a blocker. I had read somewhere that you click down.... I was wondering why it wasn't working.

                              Nope. He plays offline and creates another user for the opponent he is facing that week. Makes depth chart changes etc and he changes the running backs attributes weekly so you're not doing them all at once. Seems to work well from his thread and I love his sliders, but I have no desire to change ratings, even though it takes very minimal time to do so. Then you can write down the original. Change it back after game. Rinse and repeat.

                              Who knows though. If I can't figure something out soon I may be forced


                              Here you go. Straight from Armor slider thread

                              RB EDITS TO IMPROVE CPU RUN GAME


                              Simply do this vs whomever you are playing that week:

                              Simply go to the roster screen in CFM and then L2 and cycle to your opponent that week R2 to the RB position and do the following edits to every RB on their roster:

                              Traits:

                              Brace for "All Hits”
                              High Motor “Off”

                              Ratings Edits”

                              Spin move - no higher than 75
                              Juke Move - no higher than 75

                              You do not have to change them back after the game. I tested it and sim stats are fine!!

                                Alot of issues im seeing too is the backside de blowing up plays as he isnt being blocked at all. Ive been able to do it on defense too. literally take 2 or 3 steps untouched then turn around the tackle and blow up the inside run right after handoff before he can even get to LOS. somethings wrong here with blocking. i wonder if they arent blocking the right ppl or what or if like some ppl are saying defense is running way faster than offense. that has nothing to do with picking right holes and laying off sprint and all that other stuff.
