I agree with this. As I said yesterday, I attempted to use the "Power Run" playbook for the 49ers, and not only did I not like the run/pass ratio, but I didn't really like the playcalling and formations in the playbook as well. This is very subjective, because it's a lot easier for us to monitor our playcalling than it is for the CPU, which is why the generics come in handy.

I'm not positive how the other are approaching this, but for me, there's no NEED to replace the USER book with a generic / Legend...
I'm using the Vermeil book and Gameflow, so the run / pass splits are really up to me...
As the Browns, however, I could use Shurmer's book and just police the splits myself...
The point of assigning generic or Legend books to the CPU is to use those books gameplans, which ensure more realistic run / pass splits...
To each his own, but this is my take on it...English, is not my first language.Comment

Re: run/pass ratio Team specific playbooks for computer- offline CCM
And the defense scheme?
Do you know if too much changes?!
Just to confirm, I'll play against the Patriots in CCM offline. on controler select screen I put controler 2 to control them and go in advanced settings I change the offensive scheme for their (Patriots) "balanced".Comment

Re: run/pass ratio Team specific playbooks for computer- offline CCM
Anybody try to assign the Landry book to the CPU yet?
It was considered quite the "exotic" offence back in the day, because it used a lot of I Formation / Gun / Motion / Shifts that were rare / unheard of at the time...
Since it is from that era, I'd assume it's balanced, so it might be an interesting alternative for a team that run an interesting, but balanced scheme...
Thanks!Comment

As far as the second part goes:
1) The Patriots scheme is actually "Spread" so:
2) In the load screen, you'd change their PLAYBOOK to a "Spread" generic (Run and Gun) or possibly a Legend Book (Vermeil / Billick) that has spread concepts...
In rudy2july's signature (at the bottom his posts) he has a link to a spreadsheet that will tell you ALL the teams schemes and what playbooks have been discussed as alternatives to the team specific
I hope this helps!Comment

Then I consider the set # 2?! Right!?
Personally, I just let the CPU team use their default D book, and it's been fine for me...

Yes!
That is the part of rudy2july's spreadsheet that I personally use, but there's good suggestions in both...
Most suggestions are the same in both, but they are from two different posters in this thread...Last edited by KingV2k3; 10-31-2012, 04:06 PM.Comment

Re: run/pass ratio Team specific playbooks for computer- offline CCM
Certain blitz and / or deep zone D formations trigger "audible" screens as well as the ones they call...
I can't name them off the top of my head, but when I choose one and "smell screen", you have to audible to man...quick...
Do you blitz a lot?Last edited by KingV2k3; 10-31-2012, 04:40 PM.Comment

Surprisingly no..I do run a lot of 2 man under and cover 1..I'm seattle so I'm able to get pressure without much blitz"I don't believe in beating my kids, so I let them wear Justin Bieber shirts and Crocs to school so the others kids will do it for me."Comment

Is there a playbook (that you assign to the CPU) that you see more of this out of?Comment

Re: run/pass ratio Team specific playbooks for computer- offline CCM
I'm thinking it's either a sub for balanced / pass balanced
It ain't West Coast / Spread / Vertical / Run Heavy / Zone Run
