no, its only 2-3 idiots who dont think the run is not overpowered.
the other 95% of the posters regconize there is a problem with overpowered runningbacks. The others blindly defend the game or treat the other posters like idiots who don't know how to play defense.

Gold corners cannot keep up with GOLD WRs
Gold Linebackers cannot tackle GOLD RBs
gold Dline can't even get consistant pressure vs GENERIC OLINE.

I don't see how anyone can argue with those facts unless they just like defending the game. Truth is, defense is SOFT in this game. Just because you beat certain players doesn't mean its not. Play the right player with that offense and just watch it become a scorefest, even with all legends on defense.
The great offensive players were great because they were consistant. Not because they can catch in triple coverage or run 3 defenders over every play.

Dude, I won a game online against a team that had Earl Campbell. My team had NO Legends. It was a all generic defense. Earl got a few big runs but that was it.

Last Night I played a guy "BlackBolt" something. Dude got good game. He was giving me fits with the pressure he was sending. I also sacked him(John Elway) a few times also when I brought the heat.

I think some of yalls expectations vs however yall are playing the game is skewed. I could see if everyone was having a problem with their defense but that simply aint the case and how can you ignore that fact ? This aint about defending a game, its about what we are seeing while we play the CPU or online.

The thing is I could flip his "VIEW POINT" on him. He saying there is 2 or 3 people that say the defense is setup correctly. BUT in the same respect there is only 2 or 3 people posting on here saying it is weak. LOL, I am in 3 leagues and NEVER have had ANYONE say the defense sucks. I know a guy JTWS, might know him from the 2kforums. He has a KILLER defense can stop darn near anything. But since they are having problems the game is broken. sad sad sad

I agree that trying to stop backs like Earl Campbell and Emmitt Smith can be downright impossible a lot of times. I think that the Defense needs to be balanced out some, and apparently the 2K game developers do too, so I'm not understanding where all of this anger and hostility is coming from out of those who "say" that they can stop the run consistently. This "discussion" is going down the same road as the interception/fumble issue in the Madden forums; Those who aren't having problems are demi-gods who must teach us lowly mortals how to play the game properly because we're not good enough to do it on our own. Come to think of it, I'm surprised that I was able to type a complete sentence without the assistance of one of our esteemed "Football Masters" to guide me through it. Besides, LBrulez has probably forgotten more about football than most of us will ever know, and if he says that there is an issue AND EXPLAINS why, then I begin to believe that the issue is more than just my "bad" playcalling or weak skills.

Then what is the reason for me stopping offense all the time???? Do I have a special copy? I am not god at the game by anymeans. BUT 90% of my games are in the low teens on scores because my defense is a beast. My run D has ALWAYS been top notch. Pass D, I see some flaws. The out route is alot harder to stop than it should and I truly don't see it as a gameplay problem but as a playbook problem. But for the run I am not claiming I am some god but I am stating HONEST FACTS that I stop almost any offense that i play. RARELY has it been a shoot out. I have had those games but they have been few and far between

If that is what you are seeing then I won't call you a liar. But there are plenty of people who are seeing these issues and feel that Defense is broken. I'm not sure who posted it, but I agree that something is WAY off when a 4-4, a 5-2, and sometimes even the Bear are LESS effective against the run than a 4-3, AND that the 3-4 is useless altogether. My point is that there is no reason to be hostile and constantly challenge people with such anger just because they aren't getting the same results as others are. IF some gamers are on to certain techniques or Defenses that others aren't, then why not try to show them in a helpful way rather than getting angry and trying to "crush them under your feet with your immense Football prowess"?. Either way I still say that the Defense needs some work, and again I will point to the 2K developers saying the same thing too....how can you argue with them? They MADE the game.

You are mistaken at who is angry here I think. I never got upset or said I would CRUSH YOU UNDER MY FEET. I simply said I am not having ANY issue stopping the offense and I will show these people who say it can't be done. Me and you can even run a game. I am not GOD by anymeans but say we played and you noticed that my defense TRULY played great and held you wouldn't that show you something other than the impression you are under?

Oh and show me where 2k said there is a problem. Send me a link to the write up on that.

Oh and just for the record I play MLB. I don't let the video with Tuggle happen. I am in control, I shoot the gap. I plug the holes, I force the run back in and not let it get outside. Maybe it is because of that fact I have always stopped the run so well. But I am telling it like I see it. I have zero reason to come here and defend myself for not having the same issues as some of you. I came here to say that I am not having those issues.
