What did you guys think of the Eagles punting on 4th and infinity with 1:47 left, down 7, and two timeouts? Granted the chances of anything positive happening by going for it are slim, but it still seems like you have a better shot than praying your defense holds (it didn't), and getting the ball back with no more than about 20 seconds left.

Worse yet is they used a TO on 4th down, only to bring out the punt unit. I understand the clock was running because it was a sack but come on.

These coaches account for the play at hand and never for any scenarios past it, it seems.

Defense did get better in the second half but the way Washington controlled the ball in the 2nd to 3rd quarter wouldn't have inspired enough confidence in them, and they got burned. Even if they did make a stop, I'm sure a boneheaded penalty would've gave WSH a first like it had a couple of times earlier.

Ugly game from the Eagles. Terribly undisciplined. Skins won it, but I wouldn't exactly feel good if I were them. 4 in a row though... looks like Dallas and Washington might be the class of the East even with the Giants winning.

Living in NC, I can say that there is more Panthers gear on when they are winning than the opposite.

What your experiencing is normal in any city and isn't unique to NC.

Here's the play. Looked dirty and intentional to me. CBS played it off like he lost balance.

He doesn't even bother attempting to make it look like anything else. Dude zeroed in on that area and went for it.

The first part makes no sense in that regard so I agree with you on that one.

Second part, Panther fans (not all) have a rep for being fair weather fans. There has always been a joke around that they have a Cowboys or Steelers jersey on standby.

It was a tongue in cheek joke. There has always been that thing around the "team to beat" or the best team in any sport, that suddenly fans start showing up everywhere, etc..
