Arrest warrants have been issued for more than 300 people as part of the entire bust, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told BuzzFeed News. In addition to the dozens of men arrested for soliciting sexual acts, several parlor owners were arrested.

The women who were allegedly being trafficked are being treated as victims in this case, Snyder said.......

Snyder characterized the ring of spas as an "international trafficking enterprise," and said they've traced millions of dollars to bank accounts in China.

"We have seized half a million dollars so far, one house, several cars," he said. "We followed the money trail and there was $20 million between China and the US."

The women, who are mostly in their 20s and 30s and "don’t speak one word of English," did not have access to showers, stoves, or transportation. They "never left these establishments," Snyder said.

"The women are treated as merchandise, the way they’re moved from place to place," he said.

Snyder said the businesses have persisted for so long "because these places hide in plain sight."

"They’re in strip malls, next to nice grocery stores," he said. "They have beautiful facades and there’s nothing about them that makes them look like illicit sex trafficking is going on."

"The women are made to have unprotected sex with 15 men a day, seven days a week, with no days off," he said. "That’s a lot of people. This is risky behavior."
The affidavit is out there for anyone who wants to read it (Deadspin). Just wanted to point out that the above that I bolded WAS NOT activity that occurred at the spot Kraft was caught at.

(Unless I missed it, long affidavit)

I'm not posting it because it's pretty elicit. (Retweeted on Twitter from Mike Klis)

Kraft shoulda waited till the Pats were visiting the Raiders in Nevada. Then he could have done this legally. 'Course he might be dead by the time the Raiders are in Vegas. That might even be why he was in Florida in the first place. I hear its where old folk go to die.

There are a handful of brothels in the state that are legal the most famous of which is the Moonlite BunnyRanch.

Sadly, I know, but only because I doubted myself and googled it prior to that post. Brothels are not legal in whatever county Vegas is in.

I doubt (or perhaps more so hope he's not for his sake) that he's connected to the trafficking ring but the police have stated they video evidence to confirm their prostitution charges so I don't see how the NFL (or the media/fans) allows an owner convicted of prostitution to keep a team.

He'll be punished, but I highly doubt this leads to him losing the team. Unless he had some role in the actual trafficking, or even if they prove he had knowledge of it. But just the act of paying for sex? Thats not enough to force a sell.

This is a pretty flippant attitude to have about a dude tied up in a sex trafficking ring.

Unless, of course, you think Kraft thought a malnourished woman in her mid 20s that didn't speak a lick of English was in a Juniper, FL massage parlor turning tricks on her own accord. In which case, idk what to tell you.

I don't think he'll lose his team, nor do I think he'll be formally tied to the ring. But I'm also not dumb. Kraft's resources gives him access to the best of the best when it comes to the higher end of this stuff. There's a reason he was where he was.

Sorry for my flippant attitude but I've seen something similar play out too many times.

There may be outrage directed at Kraft to the point it forces a sell, and the outraged people will pat themselves on the back and move on. Meanwhile the actual trafficking, you know the how and why this was allowed to happen? That will be ignored. The outraged public will lose interest and human sex trafficking will still very much be a thing.

I'm not going to claim to know whether or not Kraft had knowledge of the details of the business. There may be other reasons he chose a strip mall spa for his adventures. Maybe he thought it was more discreet and under the radar, after all that is how these businesses are able to operate.

The Panthers had to be sold.

He gets charged with this for 2 times. He has a girlfriend in her 30s. He's super rich. You can start to make some assumptions.

While he may not have to sell, I don't think he can continue as the majority owner or be in the owners box at games. I think he will have to give the team to one of his kids or split it up.

Richardson voluntarily sold the team before the crisis got out of hand. What we are talking about is the NFL forcing Kraft to sell the team as part of the punishment. That is very unlikely.

What are you getting at with your assumptions? Don't think I'm following.

Guys we don't know what the repercussions will be. It is way too early for any of us to be trying to look into our crystal ball. The repercussions will largely be due to the public reaction, and the public is unpredictable. The Jussie case has the public's attention now.

I think, if I'm reading it right, he's suggesting that the fact that he is a sugar daddy will be the second strike used against him.

Richardson may have claimed he was voluntarily selling, just like he made no mention of all the crap he did when he left and didn't apologize for any of it, but he was forced out by the NFL.

                            Assumptions -
He's done this before. You don't have a driver take you there unless you know what you're getting. He's hanging out in places where he meets models where alcohol and other things are flowing. If you start digging what are you going to find?

This isn't what the NFL wants from its owners. They don't want them in the public eye. Now you have an owner who is charged with a crime involving sexual slaves. There is no coming back from this.

To your comments about “the actual trafficking”, the fact that he and the others were caught was due to an investigation into sex trafficking. It’s the only reason they were caught and it’s a win for the fight against sex trafficking. Sex trafficking in this country will end when you kill the finances supporting it (the people paying to have sex with these girls). Also, he reasonably should have known that these girls were trafficked here and it’s a poor defense.
