I actually like the darker green for the Eagles. Kelly green is overrated, IMO.

But sign me up for the Seahawks throwbacks and the Titans letting Houston have the Oilers branding back.

Got a very long flight coming up, anyone got good podcast episodes or YouTube vids I can save for it? Looking for some intermediate to advanced discussions of football concepts, kinda like the episode Robert Mays did on offensive line play with Mitchell Schwartz and Marshall Newhouse recently.

Am I overreacting in this being the final straw for Rivera in Washington for me?

He told the media that some players approached him expressing concern over Bieniemy's intensity during practice.

Why would you as the head coach create a story for the press and put some heat on your new OC? Hasn't he done stuff like this before where comments he made to the media created news stories and throws his players/staff under the buss?

He gave them an unnecessary story that didn’t need to become *something* especially during a slow period like this.

By the time Friday rolls around, it’ll be close to a nothing story since there will be games on. Now depending on how their season goes, will determine if this is preseason blip or something to look back on while they’re enduring another struggle season.

In a vacuum this is a minor thing. Even if their season goes poorly I don't think we'll be giving much blame to this incident.

But it does seem like a pattern with Ron. At first I was like well Ron is trying to change the culture and wanting to hold people accountable, then it became ol riverboat Ron telling it like he sees it. But now it feels like Ron just be sabotaging people. Its the pattern for me

(I can't remember specific individual incidents in the past, I just remember many times being a little surprised that what he said was coming from the head coach)

I mean, wasn't Ron just a placeholder, "high character guy" to provide cover for Snyder? Once the new regime starts making changes he is gone. He isn't exactly the second coming of Sean McVay :P

I think he coaches this season then next year they let him go and make Bieniemy HC.

Not sure about the Bienemy thing anymore. The guy has gone multiple huge offseason coaches searches coming out of it without a gig.

I'm sure people have seen the movie The Blindside.

Turns out a big chunk of that is a lie and Oher never got money from the movies either while his "adopted" family profited millions off his name from the movie and other things.

So much for the feel good story. Perhaps that college admissions person (or whoever they were in that movie) that was pestering him over the Tuohys real intention might have been right.

Such a strange story to me. He didn't realize that this wasn't a good arrangement until... 5 months ago. His agent at CAA apparently also represented the family, so that's why in the short term he could have gotten only one side of the story about movie residuals, etc... but wild to me that only this year almost 2 decades after the conservatorship started did he find out it existed.

We're the permanent guardians of my sister's kids, something we have to regularly show proof of. I guess given all the money involved between the Tuohy's wealth and Oher's NFL deals some things aren't are as formally handled.
