After watching this line play, are people really thinking a less mobile target is the answer at least JC can move and has coverted some 3rd downs. No matter what they do at QB we are 2 years behind in rebuilding this O-line now, I love what Orakpo os doing but I still would've perfered Michael Oher.

Thank you Rob and Cebby.....ppl kill me blaming Campbell when the offensive line didn't provide any type of protection at all. Stephon Heyer was blown up by Julius Peppers for the safety, but I willing to be everyone will blame Clinton Portis for that. JC was running for his life the entire game. And when he did make plays and throw a deep ball on the money.....Devin Thomas drops it.....

I'm not exactly blaming Campbell. I think he's a slightly above average QB that can do some nice things, but I just really don't see him ever being much more than he is right now.........at least not in Washington. Considering the stuff that went down in the offseason with Cutler, and the turmoil in the organization with the coaching situation, I think he would be better suited playing elsewhere and he probably wishes that he was. I just don't see him as a guy that's going to overcome adversity and persevere in situations like the one in Washington. Not many guys could with what's going on there now. The team has no true leaders, not even in their Head Coach and Campbell's not going to step up and assume that role. You can't solely point the finger at him though. In his defense, how many different coaches and coordinators has he played under in his career in Washington? Congrats to Snyder and Cerano for making this once proud franchise the laughing stock of the NFL.

The oline has been a problem for years... knew it was going to be a problem this year too. That's too bad.

With that said, anyone who wasn't saying all of this last week is overreacting. Carolina was 12-4 last year, were fighting for their first win of the season, were playing at home and were coming off a bye. The Redskins were supposed to lose this game. As the game played out, I'd say they should've won, but the loss isn't all that shocking in the grand scheme of things.

And if you look at the schedule coming into the season you probably had the Skins at 3-2 at this point. Instead they're 2-3... the sky isn't falling. There's reason for concern but not for blowing the whole thing up just yet. They'll likely be 3-3 going into the PHI game and either 3-4 going into the break (a game less than expected) or 4-3 with a huge win over PHI just like last year.

I wouldn't say have faith, Skins fans. But just hold your breath a little longer before completely giving up.

I don't think anyone is expecting Campbell to turn into Washington's Peyton Manning.

However, he is, at worst, our second best offensive player this year behind Cooley. I don't see why benching Campbell makes more sense than benching the line, benching Portis, or benching the WRs.

If anything, benching Campbell could have some disastrous long term implications if Collins does slightly better and we hitch our ride to him for 2-3 years.

Worst case scenario is we suck the rest of the year and require massive rebuilding. Realistic best case scenario right now is Campbell shows some signs and we can get a fourth round pick for him. We're out of the playoff picture, and playing old players isn't going to get us anywhere.

Well it's a good thing.

We need a spark of some kind. Maybe Collins could provide it or maybe not. I just know that what we have offensively right now just isn't working.

On a side note, why in the hell could Hall not tackle Delhomme on what had to have been the absolute slowest bootleg of all time? He had him stopped 4 yards short of the 1st down and tried to bring him down at the chest. Tackling in both college and pro is horrible these days. Everyone's more worried about making a big hit or causing a turnover than actually bringing a player down with a good, solid tackle.

Well JC better get ready to move around again next week. Samuels is out for the KC game to.

The reason I want Collins, I believe he would make quicker decisions, even with the bad line play. Maybe the offense would respond in a different way. You never know.

I just feel for the defense, we never had an offense that could keep up with the Defense, The defense is ranked 6th and offense is rank 27th. Not good to the defense at all.

Man, I love Portis, my favorite player. but dude have to stop looking for somewhere to fall or tripping over his own feet. He had a lane which he could've had a big gain, but he tripped AGAIN.

Sellers, you got your little bit of money, and decided not to block anymore. Portis had a right to call you out and showed on that goal line play. You can't go side to side at your end of the goal line which lead to safety. Though it was a dumb play call but you still have to stick your nose in it.

Daniels has a torn bicep. Hopefully Jarmon will start or Rakpo will start right there. We have to get him from that LB position. Rather sign marcus Washington back and have Rak put his hand in the dirt. When he does he's gets a sack or get pressure.

I have to look on ebay or craiglist for some hands for Carlos Rogers.

Devin Thomas catch the ball. Fred Davis WTH are you doing. Stop trying to leap over everybody. run them over. Waste pick right there he's a bum

Activate Alridge and Marko. maybe they can do something.

                  Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

I see a few calls for Collins. Based on what exactly? Dude had a good 4 game stretch 2 years ago in an offense that he had spent a DECADE learning. This is his 2nd year in the WCO just the same as JC. If you look at the fact that Moss is too small to be effective in this offense over the middle same for ARE, Thomas and Kelly aren't a lot better than last year, and now with the Oline issues we have to keep Cooley in to help the online, there is nothing that can be done for the passing game at this point.

I've been saying it since the draft, Micheal Oher was the pick. We drafted Samuels and Jenson 2000 and 1999 respectively and didn't have to worry about the tackle positions until 2008/2009. That is a good run when you think about it.

I refuse to lambaste them for getting Haynesworth for the time being, but at what point will Vinny C look around and relies that JC, Todd Collins, or Colt "The G.O.A.T" won't do a damn think without a line. Hell I bet if you give Devin Thomas 4 seconds to run a route he could get wide open, too bad JC is only getting about 2.5 back there right now.

Lastly, for those that are looking for the next Redskins QB, please don't look to the Big 12 Conference for that player. The two biggest names play behind lines that give them all kinds of time back there to throw against watered down defenses in the Big 12. The two time that Sam Bradford has face pressure recently (UF and BYU) he has looked bad in a loss and got injured. But him behind this offensive line and he will suffer a shell shock of David Carr proportions. McCoy would probably end up in the ICU at John Hopkins or something. I'm resigned to the fact that JC is probably done in DC but I'm looking around the NFL right now, who would the skins replace him with? (Senneca Wallace.....Joking)

Man, I've been saying for the last 2-3 yrs that CP is done. He's taken a beating and has no legs anymore. He can't make people miss anymore and he stays falling down on his own. That's a sign of a RB with no legs anymore.

Sellers has been terrible this year. He's so damn passive on his blocking and I'm glad Billick put his a** on blast this week.

Orakpo with his hand down is a special player. Unfortunately they're trying to make him into an every down LB sort of like Demarcus Ware. He gets exposed on 1st & 2nd down passes but it's to be expected.

Fred Davis made me so mad when he didn't reach the ball out for that 1st down.

I don't want to see Collins at all. We're not going to the playoffs so why even try to salvage the season with him. Let JC play it out and like Cebby said, try to get something for him and draft a QB.

I think uncertainty at QB is going to scare off some good HC's. You think Holmgren or Gruden will want JC in their West Coast systems. Maybe the defense will entice Cowher. If not Danny needs to seriously overpay someone worthwhile.

I've been thinking about this the past week. I have a fear that Washington will end up with a Top 5 pick and take Bradford. I just don't see any QBs that could possibly be drafted next season making any kind of impact right away. If I was going to take one though, I would probably go with Locker or Clausen either one over Bradford, McCoy, or anyone else. Like you, I believe Campbell's days in Washington are numbered now and he's no longer the future there.

I say keep JC in there until we get a good line in front of him and then see how he does. There's no way he can make good reads with defenders in his face by the time he drops back.
