Is there some kind of a guide to explain what different tabs mean? For example when I wish to edit arenas, I click on a tab named ''StEO''. Is there a way to change the names?

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Here's a 100% complete NHL14 xml config based on TDBView field names. If someone wants to sort the tables and fields by priority that would be great.

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
When I use horizon and open the con file the file size instantly gets doubled . This means the con file gets corrupt. Maybe it has something to do with the bolded part in the first quote.
What can cause this?
@Cycloniac:
How did you do to get the edits to work ingame?
I have the X360.
Here's the steps I take for 360:
(1) save the roster or season (or BaGM) to USB stick from within game
(2) insert USB into PC/laptop and open Horizon app
(3) when it opens in the right pane it should allow you to view what is saved on the USB stick, choose game, expand, and double-click on the roster or season save (should have the name that you saved it as within nhl14 on the 360)
(4) there should be 4 tabs, choose the contents tab
(5) right click on the name (should be type, ie roster or season, followed by a date string) and choose extract
(6) save the file, by default the name of the file is what you see in step 5, I usually append the word roster at the end of filename
(7) open nhl db patcher app, choose 360, nhl14, type (roster/season=roster; or BaGM), then choose 'Extract database'
(8) for file name I choose the same format as in step 6, but replace the word roster with DB
(9) now open EADBEditor and open/modify/save the DB file created in step 8
(10) go back to NHL DB Patcher app, choose nhl14, 360 and Patch Database
(11) choose the DB file modified in step 9, then save to the roster file created in step 6
(12) go back into Horizon, browse the USB data, find the roster/season/BaGM save, and double click
(13) click on the contents tab, right click on the entry and choose replace, and choose the Roster file overwritten in step 11
(14) if successful then click on the previous tab that says Saved,Rahashed,Resigned
(15) close horizon, safely unmount and remove the USB stick from your pc
(16) startup NHL14 and load the save from the USB stick, all changes you made should be thereComment

Assuming this is for roster editing, not gm mode?
Oh this could be amazing!
If we can figure out what all the bias' mean in team strategy's we can completely change the way the ai plays!Last edited by Dougie_G_93; 10-21-2013, 12:04 PM.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I've used Horizon + NHL DB patcher + EADBEditor to modify, first a roster save, then my season saves, on several changes.

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
this is the most confusing thing I've ever encountered. I can't get this to work at all. Can't figure this out for PS3.Last edited by Flyersfan75; 10-21-2013, 12:25 PM.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I noticed that through horizon, previously (using a document I found here) I was also using USBXTAFGUI_v44 to save from usb to a .con file, but realized that I didn't need to use that utility at all. It looks like Horizon maintains that. So I stopped worrying about the .con fileComment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Yepp. It seems if you use only horizon without extracting the con file it works anyway.Comment
