Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Open the EA DB Editor and click "Create Config" under the file button in the top corner. Then choose the DB you just created using the DPyro's DB Patcher. The DB Editor will automatically create a config file for you. Save it and then open your DB as you did with the roster files. Just be aware that as DPyros stated above you will have to decifer all that code. The organized Configs that are out there have been created by people and take much long and tedious time.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Thanks for the quick replies. All I really want to do is edit players like Phil Kessel or Claude Giroux so their cap hits are accurate for this year and then give them accurate extensions for future years. But that does not seem to be possible at this point.
Thanks for all the help, though!Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
DPyro- Do you know if I can just omit some of the data from the config file using an XML editor. If I do this, will it effect the read edit and save function for file editing.
For example, I would like to remove much of the player stat information from the config file so it doesn't show up in the editor to clean it up quite a bit. If I choose to do this will the DB file still load properly into EA DB Editor, and will it still save and pack properly for reuse in the PS3? I am assuming that if I just omit the info from the config file, then it just wouldn't be visible, but it would still be there when saved, correct?
Thanks for any help with this.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
ok so I think I may know WHY I can't decrypt but don't know how to solve it.
When I load my NCAA and Madden saves and hit verify PFD everything comes back good.
When I run my NHL files it says Disk hash key and console ID=FAIL
anyway to get those right?
Could this be why I can't decrypt the files?Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I have been trying to figure out how to get it to work. Is it possible for someone to set up a guide for PS3? Dpyro, thank you so much for your hard work and anyone else that is helping this process!Comment

Re: EA Sports NHL Roster Tools
For X360, you need Horizon and extract the roster file first. Follow demolitionman's instructions.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

Those files are great and very understandable. The problem is they don't say what to do if you can't get the file decrypted. I understand the whole process but step 1 isn't working. I've been editing NCAA and madden for a while now so I'm familiar with the programs but nhl simply won't decrypt for me.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
When you click decrypt, nothing happens? That happens to me sometimes. If that's the case, then right click on the SYS-DATA file on the bottom left of the screen and click decrypt from there. If nothing happens from there, then try closing and reopening bruteforce. Similar thing sometimes happens to me when trying to encrypt it at the end, and I have to exit bruteforce, reopen it(and it'd still show the folder/file decrypted) and encrypt it.Comment
