          Demolition's instructions (very helpful and detailed )

          4a.) Highlight every byte in the open "Roster File" from byte 0x1C all the way to the end of the file.
          You do indeed need to select all the way to the bottom of the file, but if you just select the first byte (0x1C) and then type Shift+Ctrl+End on your keyboard, it should select the rest of the file instantly (this is typical of most Windows programs that may require you to select content in a file).

            I was able to do it the other night, but I haven't tried DPyro's roster tools yet.

            Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to create more detailed instructions yet. I'd be happy to work on that this evening.

                The other night, I just changed Justin Abdelkader's name to see if I could make a change in the editor and get it into the actual game. Like I said, I'll make more detailed instructions this evening and try DPyro's new roster tool.

                      I can confirm that DPyro's tool works for extracting/repacking the SYS-DATA file on NHL13 for the PS3 (Awesome little tool) I am working on editing a slightly more detailed config file for the EA DB Reader/Editor. It currently has some of the fields Arena Info/Team Info/Player Info/Skater Ratings (Goalies are in different tab and haven't figured which on yet). Basically I have renamed the fields that I know so that it doesn't say things like ubPc, dxSB etc. It only works for NHL13 as the data is packed in different order between NHL13 & 14. If anyone is interested and I can figure out how to upload it I will do that for you. Let me know.

                      Edit - Figured it out I think. Link below

                        Pyro and Demolition may possibly be able to take over the world if they so desired. I don't know how u guys figured out all this stuff, but it is super-impressive. I'm trying to learn on the fly, but wish I was as good at programming as I am hockey itself! Thanks again, guys!

                          Ok I guess I'm at a standstill for the xbox rosters (nhl14) Now i get the invalid stfs package when trying to inject the edited roster in horizon....

                          time to wait for the coding genius' to show up.

                          All I know is I was trying to read the run box when repackaging and the offset listed is different than what shows in horizon, like I posted earlier.

                          Of course that could mean nothing I have no idea really.

                            Nice one! Thanks! That makes editing my NHL 13 rosters a lot easier.

                            Btw, it looks like it's possible to edit the divisions teams are in. It'll be interesting if we can get the NHL realignment added to NHL 13. Seeing as we can edit divisions and schedules, it could well be possible. I guess it depends on whether the game can cope with this.

                              Here are some more for you:

                              PLAYER INFO TAB:
                              dXSB = Team Contracted

                              ARENA TAB:
                              vfEq = Arena ID

                              TEAM INFO TAB:
                              City = I think this should be Team Short Name rather than City
                              buDa = Arena

                              I'm not sure which field on the Team Info tab refers to the Team ID. It seems that the Team Contracted field on the Player Info tab is Team ID + 1 because 0 seems to mean UFA rather than Anaheim.

                              Based on Artem's NHL 11 screenshot, here are some more tab titles for you (the abbreviations in his screenshot are reversed compared with the Generic EA DB Tool). I don't know if these are necessarily correct, but this is what Artem's screenshot suggests (the schedule tables certainly look like schedules):

                              puoR = Custom Palette
                              oEDN = Custom Team Equipment
                              PuTC = Custom Team Jerseys
                              WQzR = Czech Schedule
                              VoEQ = Exhibition Free Agents
                              mHuy = Exhibition Goalie AI
                              fMVI = Exhbition Goalie Equipment
                              ZBac = Exhibition Players
                              eGlu = Exhibition Rosters
                              xmja = Exhibition Skater Equipment
                              EeYo = Exhibition Team Strategies
                              QQBR = Finnish Schedule
                              hxjN = German Schedule

                              Also, I think wcSL is the Retired Numbers tab:
                              dXSB = Team (presumably dXSB is always Team ID as it matches the abbreviation from the Player Info Tab)
                              JFiY = Retired Jersey Number
