Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
It "might" be possible to customize arena ads and ice...
If we can open the data files.
I installed NHL14 to a flash drive, took those files, and what shows up is 40 data files, named data0000 up to data0039.
Now, if we can unpack those, and possible edit things we want to edit....
and then re-pack thhe data file...
It might be possible for full customization.....
But I don't know enough about offzip yet to get those files open.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I don't have NHL14, so won't be able to, unless the steps are basically the same.
And is there a quick way to edit ratings? I wanna edit a certain rating down for every player in the league, but I know it'd take like an hour if I manually did it for each guy.
I also noticed discipline is strange in the editor over the actual game. In the game guys are like 80-90 discipline and minimum is in the 30s, but in the editor, the numbers are much diff(lowest is 14 and highest is 59). So maybe that was the real problem with penalties in the game? I'll try editing guys down to 0 and see if it's possible and how much penalties I end up getting one day. Would be cool if we could edit sliders through this tool also, cause maybe some sliders are broken or something but using the tool to edit sliders might fix things?Last edited by Majingir; 10-06-2013, 02:56 PM.Comment

Player ratings are calculated using the number in the DB plus 36. Wieght works similarly using plus 120 lbs and height works off the number 18 being 6 foot and every number up and down is =/- 1 inch. I hope this helps.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I know extracting the .db from BruteForce isn't the same, and that's where I'm stuck.
Is there anyone else interested in doing a pic and/or video instruction for NHL 14 PS3???Comment

At the moment I'm trying to make a custom team, Team Canada.. I'm copying over the files from the original team Canada to the new team, as i want it to all be the exact same, just with realistic jerseys. File is corrupted, constant trial and error.. if you could find a way to unpack and share with us that would make this project way easier.

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
I know the step by step I gave 1-2 pages back in the forum are for NHL13 on PS3, however, I believe the steps are Identical for NHL14 if you use the NHL DB Patcher by Pyro, which is part of my step by step. I think he made it so you don't have to use offzip or any of those additional programs. Perhaps someone else can verify this for you if they look over my step by step tutorial. The only differnce I could think of is that you will need a NHL14 config file for the EA DB Editor.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Don't know how similar it is for NHL13 360 users or NHL14 PS3/360 users, but here's my guide for NHL13 PS3 people: (I put it in gif form so it won't be tons of pics, each pic is available in the zip folder though)

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
after I open the xml file in editor and try and open the db file in the editor I get a screen that says unhandled exception has occurred in your aplication and I cannot continue. Does anyone know why this occurs? I looked at the screen shots of the steps and the only difference I see is my db thumbnail looks different in the screen shots posted it shows a small blue note pad and when I save my db file after using extracting it it shows a cd with a green arrow pointing down. If I try and open that file it says program name installIQ. Any help would be appreciated.Comment

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
Link to my latest NHL13 (Roster, not GM mode) Config File (xml) for the EA DB editor. It has the following feilds completed and more organized than original- Team Info, Arena Info, Calendars, Player Bio, Player Ratings and Goalie Ratings. All other main field tabs have been filled in accordingly, just not the sub tabs with in them. Enjoy!

Re: NHL 14 Roster Tools
In pic#6, there is nothing to save. At that step, you open the .xml file you downloaded(from this site) and the db file is the file you saved when you were extracting the stuff using the db patcher.
If you mean it isn't appearing when you try to open it...make sure the extension(located at the dropdown menu above the open button) says .DB and not .MC02.Last edited by Majingir; 10-06-2013, 09:55 PM.Comment
