Got a Scotty Phantom X 12 for my birthday, and I’m in the process of getting my irons reshafted. Currently using Project X 6.0 120g, and they’re probably too heavy for me. Same shafts Corey Connors uses on tour and I’m not a tour pro.

Was swinging the True Temper Elevate 95 mph at the PGA tour superstore and I liked the ball flight a lot better. Was getting anywhere from 95-100 mph on them.

Nothing like a brand new Cameron. Quality flat stick.


Also, decent shaft. Especially if you're looking at shedding some weight in the shaft, good choice.

Wonderful golf ball for the money. If you see them at a good price TaylorMade Tour Response would be a good upgrade too. Likely see a little more action greenside.

Been playing the tour response the past couple months (along with chrome softs) and they are nice balls.

Anywho:
Doesn't look like I'm going to hit my goal of single digit HDC this year. Currently sitting at 11.0.

Current bag is a mixed one.
Driver was Cobra Radspeed XB but have a Mizuno ST Z 220 on the way.
Also carry a TM DHY 3 I use in certain situations.
Irons are Mizuno JPX Hot Metal Pros (5-PW)
(went to them from my MP20's. But kept the MP's)


3W still rolling with my Callaway Rogue simply because it's money for me.
Wedges are the Callaway Jaws Raw

And still putting with my Scotty M2 Select Newport.

Shot a very tidy 94 this morning where I only hit my driver once. And yes that Scotty I just got was working really well.

Happy thanksgiving to all of the OS golfers!

Had a day yesterday. Played Ballyowen in Hamburg, NJ (consistently a top rated NJ course). I was feeling very confident coming off of my last round.

It did not go well. Broke my PXG 7 wood after a tee shot, wasn’t able to retrieve the head because it went down an inaccessible embankment. Was only able to put 3/18 tee shots in play. The rest were 25 yard shanks. It was like I forgot how to swing a club and it was incredibly frustrating.

So, I am about 2 years away from turning (age redacted), and want to do a guys' golf trip to mark the occasion...probably 8 or so of us will be a part of it. It will take place the summer of 2025. Anyone have any tips on how to plan it, when to start planning it, or things to know before starting the actual planning process? The location will likely be Sand Valley, as they will have the Lido and Sedge Valley open by then, to go along with Mammoth Dunes, the Sand Valley course, and the Sandbox par-3 course.

Idk about the planning, but maybe each guy can put the dollar amount of his age in the pot for a winner-take-all friendly competition.

Due to the very mild winter here in NY, I will be playing my first round in 2023 tomorrow! 38 degrees at tee time!

27 Days until our yearly golf trip.

Back to the Legends Resort in Myrtle Beach.
We do a daily team and individual thing for 3 days then day 4 its a team "Shamble" to earn more points for the team score for the week.

Can't come soon enough.

Been testing the new offerings seeing what I'd like to add to the bag this year. That Ping G430 hybrid is nuts, really thinking of picking it up this weekend. Feels SO easy to hit, and normally I am not a hybrid guy at all.

Tested all the drivers out, and Stealth 2, for me, is by far the best. I've always been a TM driver guy- currently game the Sim 1. No real reason to change as driver is always the best club in my bag but man the ball speeds on miss hits is unbelievable on that Stealth 2.
