Went out to a local course this afternoon, Highlands Oaks. Played the Par 3, 9-hole short course. Did ok, shot 4+/5+. I had one double, but besides that was playing par/bogey golf. It was so hot out there too...(Alabama).

I have a hybrid 4 iron and I love it. It's one of my favorite clubs in the bag.

And I've been golfing a ton this past week... I've been at the range the past two days for 3 or 4 hours working on everything. Then I'd follow that up with 9 holes or however many I can get in before the sun falls. I've been hitting the ball the best I ever had so far, but I've been losing too many strokes by poking the ball ob. However I did hit a ball 290 today, so that was fun.

Shot a 77 three weeks ago...shot a 93 on Monday. I love golf....

But golf doesn't seem to love you back, lol.

Great thing about being in law enforcement is the weird schedule so i get to go out on weekdays when it cheaper and not pay the insane weekend greens fee.

You're from the Cranberry area aren't you (for some reason I thought I saw you mention that once)?

I was never a huge fan of Pittsburgh national but despite being a shorter course there is something I love about Cranberry Highlands.

Yes I am from Cranberry. I was going to play Cranberry Highlands, but it was booked yesterday morning. I wanted to get out in the morning due to the heat/humidity so I was looking for a tee time around 8am. Unfortunately they didn't have any.

I don't love Pittsburgh National, but I don't hate it (although I'm not a huge fan of all the hills). There are so many courses in this area that it's great to get out and play a different course each time out.

I've been golfing since I was 5 years old Love the game, I hate it when people call golf an "old man sport"...

I usually do tones of golfing during the summer.

Has anyone used or own the Odyssey putters? (especially the one Phil Mickelson uses?). I'm asking for the one Phil uses for my birthday and was wondering people opinions on it.

Eh, not as nice as the courses are in the Cincy area where I am as of now. Municipal is where I play right now, but the price is right considering I'm in high school and I play with my friends. Hampton Cove was beaten up a little too much the summer we had that drought, and haven't been since. But I've been playing recently at the course by the airport which isn't bad.

I have the srt 2 ball white hot odyssey. I love the feel on it. But putters have a different feel for each user. So for me personally, I love my odyssey (even though I'm not that great of a putter), but you should check out the different styles for yourself at a local pro shop.

I've been doing this quite a bit, I LOVE Mickelson's putter, it feels "balanced" if that makes any sense.
