Considering that is the last club you usually use on every hole that would be kinda hard to forget.

I have left wedges laying around before, but never my putter....I don't even know how that's possible.

I did it once. I was about 20 yards in front of the green and took my wedge and putter. Chipped it to within inches and my dad picked picked up my ball. I left my putter near where I hit it from and forgot about it when I went back to the cart. The good thing about forgetting your putter is that you know immediately on the next hole that it's missing.

I had worked at a golf course for about 4 years now and see on average 1 club lost a day and only about 20% of them get returned. That and headcovers

Good point. I didn't think about chipping in. I guess then it is possible.

I'm golfing again after 2 years of not playing at all. Grabbed a nice used set of Taylormade irons, a TM driver and an Odyssey putter. I'm pretty good too considering I haven't played in a while, shot +7 at a short 9 hole course in town the other day. I just love going out though, can't stand watching that sport but it's super fun to play.

I'm thinking about picking up one of those hybrid 5/3 wood/iron things, anyone have any experience with those?

I have a hybrid 4 iron and I love it. It's one of my favorite clubs in the bag.

That's ridiculous. Headcovers I can see - whatever, but come on with the clubs! I turn in anything I find because I would expect a reasonable person to do the same. I can see forgetting that you picked a club up, but even if I did that, I'd make the drive back to the course when I realized it.

Went out at 8am this morning to a course called Pittsburgh National Golf Club. I'm on vacation so I had to get out at least once this week. It was really hot (even at 8), but I shot well - 87. Lost a lot of shots off the tee so I was happy with the 87. For some odd reason, I was hooking a handful of shots off the tee with my driver. I'd get it straightened out for a few holes and then do it again...not quite sure what was happening.

For those against range finders, are you also against the GPS in a cart? A good handful of courses I play at have a GPS in the cart which tells you the exact distance to the pin/front/back of green.

Hybrids are awesome. You can hit them much easier, farther and higher in my experience. I've traded out my 3 and 4 irons and basically gotten rid of my 5 wood as well. I hit a 3 hybrid as far as I did my 5 wood, but I hit it much higher and I seem to make much better contact with the hybrids. Hybrids totally changed my long iron game. I am a HUGE advocate of hybrids and it doesn't hurt to see PGA tour pros using them either.

I have a 2 iron hybrid that I love. If I'm struggling with the Driver or 3 wood or both, that club is a life saver off the tee. It is also great on approaches on long par 5's. I am very close to taking my 4 iron out of the bag and getting a 4 hybrid.

You're from the Cranberry area aren't you (for some reason I thought I saw you mention that once)?

I was never a huge fan of Pittsburgh national but despite being a shorter course there is something I love about Cranberry Highlands.
