Has anyone played the Cobra Amps? I was looking through my Groupon app and saw they had a deal for an graphite iron set 4-GW 45% off got a total of $399.

I have a set of Adams from high school that have seen their better days.

I played them for a few months before I bought my Nike VR Pro Combos. Though the ones I had were iron shafts, they felt pretty good and for me I could work the ball from right to left and left to right somewhat easily.

For the price, they're a very good iron set. Cobra has been making some good products every since Rickie Fowler joined them a few years ago. Read some more reviews online, most of the ones I read said nothing but good things about them. My only complaint were the grips they came with, but those can be changed rather easily.

So I need some advice. My current swing has taken me as far as it possibly can. It's not awful, and some days it actual works quite well. But I definitely don't hit as high (irons) as others and I know it's because I'm not compressing the ball like I need to. So I consistently am having to play an iron shorter in the hope that I land just before the green and run up, because there's very little chance that I'll actually hold the green.

But I know this is like the holy grail in golf to accomplish. So for those of you that do this, how did you get there?

Something has changed in my swing and I can no longer crush the ball with my driver like before. It is very frustrating. I hit about 50 balls and was not consistent at all. Slice, hook, and a couple straight. Mostly what I am hitting is a low severe hook that doesn't have much distance. I don't know where I am hitting it on the club head but it sounds terrible also.

On the other hand I have been working on my short game a lot because it was killing me the other day. I worked for about an hour and a half yesterday on chipping and putting a feel a lot better about those.

Ball position.

Are you playing the ball towards the middle of your stance or towards the front? Judging by what your telling me, you have it pretty deep in your stance. Play it off of your left heel and you'll see a difference.

Well it depends. 6-8 is center or just left of center. 3H-5 I have more up in my stance, 9-SW I have right of center.

Trying playing all shots from just off your left heel. Just change the width of your stance.

I would say for you, only play punch and wedge pitch shots in the back of your stance.

Crap, I was all looking forward to going out this weekend, and now with the storm coming north I will probably be stuck in the house, add to that its my wife's B-Day weekend Saturday morning was going to be my only chance. Oh well the rest should do my back some good, as the more I play the more the soreness lingers with me through the week.

Realized that the strap on my golf bag already broke. After only one time on a course! Not too upset about it given that I paid $160 for the bag+complete set of clubs, but yeah...gonna need a new bag at some point. Any thoughts/recommendations?

On this I agree with you, I drive past Golf Galaxy just about every day, and I liked that putter much better than the method core. So I figured WTH. You only are alive once, whew avoided that damn acronym. But yes, I wanted this damn thing and now I have got it. Too bad I wont really be able to use it for about a week as it will probably take that long for the courses here to dry.

I feel the same way. I go into Golf Town just to look, and I always end up buying something whether its balls, clothing or new clubs. It's a bad addiction.
