I asked Jim Gem some questions relating my questions, and come of you guys also, about the Sawgrass, No power bar round I linked earlier. He got back to me so I thought I'd share the answers here:

Jim, what difficulty level were you using in this round? Pro?? I know it probably shows as Custom, but I'm guessing you started with Pro, and then turned the power bars off to arrive at Custom. Also, does the swing camera default to 'fixed' or 'static', with an option to switch it to follow cam?

It looks like you're switching to an alternate view on demand, going with the reverse angle camera views when you switch (again as I do). I noticed on short pitches and chips, you're switching to more of a follow cam, but you're again doing that on demand with the D pad, right?

1.) "Yes pro settings with power bar off-pro vision off-aiming circle off' The game plays better i feel without the power bar especialy for guys like yourself that are used to TGC games' but it's a nice inclusion for the new players"

2.) "I have the cameras pretty much the same as i did in 2019 follow cam off and yes use the d-pad to cycle through' It's the same for the short pitches i control that' also i found the first round i played the follow cam is a bit off for short piches just dosn't give you good angles' so best controlling those yourself..��"

So scagwi, those quick shifts you're seeing are being directed by Jim, on his demand with the D pad. You could just leave the D pad alone to get a more fixed perspective, or change it much later in the shot.

Also, as for confirming the ability to be able to turn off the vibration feedback, here was his comment:

"Yup it can be turned off also i suppose if you are playing with youre buddies as guests it's the same all those can be turned on and off' seperately..��"

That last bit just sold me. Shame we have to mess with all the setting to get the base game we got a few years ago.

The "HB frustrating decisions" are back..

You can't disable rumble other than "for yourself" and Craig is defending the notion that it's "not an aid" (which seems like an odd stance to take honestly)

Still no confirmation on that, but it was not in the build of the game that the streamers and YouTubers got to play. One streamer assumed that the fact it was missing meant it was removed from the game.

Apparently, you can no longer change the color of your clothing and gear in 2K21...pulled this from HB Studios forums:

I think this might be the 2K side rearing it's ugly head...

They are likely locking down color customizations so that they can DLC charge for the variations and options.

Probably, but it seems super restrictive to remove the color options from the "HB Studios" brand gear. Real stuff from names like adidas, Puma, etc. I understand. For fake clothes and clubs? That's really lame to take the customization out.

Totally agree..

I think we have to just be happy this is the extent of the DLC/nickel and diming given 2k's track record.

At least they've not allowed (so far) anything that's "pay to win" oriented in terms of performance upgrades, etc..

they wont. this isnt nba, the game would be DOA if they did.

So it has, but I can still revisit it in TW 13 when I'm feeling nostalgic

TW 11 was the only good TrueAim version. That's the one that didn't let you aim while zoomed in.

(it's on mobile, among others I think - name is escaping me - forgive me if I'm remembering wrong)

Yep. It's okay as a mobile game, but it pretty quickly becomes apparent that it's a pay-to-win proposition. Luckily, I don't play against others so I don't care, but it is frustrating when the 'stock' driver goes 225 yards max, which is far below what even an average hacker can drive the ball in this day and age.

Why can't I just pick the clubs I want to play with and use them, rather than having to adjust my game so that there "stats" don't hurt me. I never understood why games do this. I mean I can hit a Taylor, Mizuno, Callaway or Titleist and with the right adjustments I can hit them all basically the same. Why do I have to choose a set of clubs that I don't want to use just because they maybe go straighter than the rest in these golf games.

I can't lie, this totally ruins the immersion for me, almost as much as when they base the length you hit on the difficulty level you play on. I always loved the games where you could Max your drive out at 250 yards because you were only on the Korn Ferry Tour and you had to work up your strength. I was 14 years old when I hit 300 yard drives for the first time.

Sorry, rant over. I was looking forward to this game and just realized it's $80 so it looks like I will have to wait for a sale.

I think I saw on the TGC Tours forum that someone already essentially figured out which driver almost all users are going to have, due to its maximum power attribute. It has lower forgiveness, but I am sure that won't matter too much once people get a hang of the tempo of their swing.
