My daughter has no interest in golf.....but asked me to take her and a friend to Top Golf, which got me wondering:

Although criticized, PS5 has a camera, so I wonder if the Top Golf mode would be more enjoyable for a casual game if PS5 had Move functionality. Even though I used the controller for gameplay, I remember when I was bored during the pandemic, I would putt/drive on TW14 with the PS Move controller for more of a simulated experience.

If they do go this route, it needs to be made an optional thing...

I'm 99.99% sure they would never do something that drastic. To me it would be fun especially if I my own ways to get a different number than what my caddy is giving me (like a true yardage book look of the hole) but I'm talking about levels of realism that just can't be in a video game for many reasons.

I do think lots of folks want to see caddies for a visual inclusion and to make the course environment feel more realistic (more like the caddies were in Rory). I am not sure as many people want the caddies to actually make an impact, especially folks who do remember how they were done in older golf games, where it felt more like a crutch than anything.

I want to see them, positioning themselves as they would in real life. I'd like to see them in exhibition modes, but be a bit more out of the way. What I didn't see in any of the videos was both player's caddies being visible in the picture, only the caddie of whichever player was up. I also didn't see the other player(s) standing along side the tee box as the player who was up was hitting. I want to see both the other players in my group - when I should see them - along with their caddies. It's going to look kind of hokey to just have the player who's just hit AND their caddie suddenly disappear into the aether, as soon as the next player is 'up'.

No matter what we feel of this game and series...the marketing continues to amaze.

Would just love a great career mode with no bugs and the ability to populate our career calendar with any course.

I know I'm probably not their target audience but could not care less about online features or game modes.

Few things stood out
- Makes clear the consumable balls are not hard to get, and game is not pay to win.
- Pot bunkers are in the game, but not in course designer.
- Punch shots are in the game.
- Your MyPlayer can “progress” in MyCareer, and then play in Society’s.
-Skills and Archetypes are similar to the attribute and badges of NBA2K.
-There will be quite a bit of post launch DLC.

Per his report, it is not pay to win, and they are easily accessible. You will never run out of them or need to wait for them to restock or anything like that.

This was also a huge concern of mine, and it seems that it was addressed and is not what I thought it would be...I was afraid it would be the WGT way of doing DLC, and that does not seem to be the case.
