I guess I'm a young pup on the Wii bandwagon (at 25) but DAMN is the system fun! My wife and I were seriously laughing our ***es off when we were at a friends house playing 'Wii Sports' boxing! That game alone is worth the price of admission.
My only worry is the typical Nintendo drought, but hey, I haven't even had time to touch Zelda yet, so it shouldn't be a problem. Every first party title is still tops, and with 'Super Paper Mario', Smash Brothers, Mario Galaxy, the next Metroid, and any surprise hits...I can't see the system faltering.
Heck, my three year old son even gets in on the fun! He's able to play the tennis game and he also really likes the BC version of 'Super Mario Strikers' from the Cube!I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

As I've always said with Nintendo consoles. If you are buying a Nintendo system for 3rd party games, then you are going to be extremely disappointed. If you buy it for Nintendo's first party games, and love their games, then without a doubt you will enjoy and love the system.Comment

Joined the ranks of Wii owners tonight. I went down and waited for about an hour at Walmart. They got 9 in and I was #3 in a 9 person line. Also picked up a classic controller, component cables, Wiiplay, an extra nunchuk, a 200 point card, and Rayman. Not too bad for around $450 total. Too tired to set it up tonight, but looking forward to bowling with my daughter after church. I'll post my code in the other thread once I figure out the online setup. The guy that was first in line with me had been there since 4 in the afternoon. I said I wanted a Wii, but not that bad. I called them at about 10:45 and asked if there was a line. It really is crazy. I bought my Wii in January and after a few months I realized the system just wasn't for me. It was fun while it lasted but I just sold it on eBay and made a $75 profit for my 3 month rental.
Nintendo should really cut the crap and start putting these things on the shelves.Comment

I did the same thing but got there only about a half hour before they went on sale. I can't decide if I want to keep the thing or sell it though. I have a 360 as my main console but I am drawn to the quirkiness of this system. What games should I look to play if I decide to keep it?Comment
