Re: Official Wii Discussion
Indeed, I would of pre-ordered myself, but had no interest in it at the time. Now that my kids have seen it in stores, and on commercials. They're starting to ask for it for Christmas. Better luck next weekend maybe.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Yes, there were 3 people that were camping out at my local TRU last night. It is rather freezing cold here today. My wife had to go to TRU this morning and they open in 20 minutes, she told me that there are 90 people outside waiting for the Wii. Damn! I feel like an *** for underestimating this system. People want the Wii more than the PS3.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
This item is the hottest thing this XMAS, hotter than the PS3 as I stated earlier. There are Wii's selling with no games for $450-$500 on ebay. That is on par with a 20GB PS3 retail.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
People should stop buying them on ebay to make the price reasonable. I have 10 minutes to call 3 stores all an hour away. Even if they have some available, by the time I get there they will be gone I'm sure. Unless I can buy one over the phone and pick it up. Wish me luck so I don't have to wait at walmart for 6+ hours!Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
The prices on Ebay will continue to rise as Christmas nears. The unit alone was selling for about $350 just last week. I lucked out big time with my bundle on Ebay.
Nintendo plans to have 4 million units sold worldwide by the end of the year, and they say they'll be able to reach that number. Sony, however, will be lucky to have 800,000 sold by the end of the year, which puts them way behind in the next-gen race. Not a good start for Sony.Comment

Even at the rate Nintendo is moving, I don't see 4 million out by XMAS. Yes, come the week of December 11 expect the Wii to skyrocket from the $450 price to possibly $600+ once people start getting desperate online.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Sony has just hit 400K as of last week is the rumor. I'm also hearing from a few retailers that their final shipment for PS3's should be out this week or next before XMAS. I have no clue how true these rumors are, but the Playstation shipments that stores are receiving are starting to decline in numbers.

Re: Official Wii Discussion
SCORE!!!! I got lucky. I have a buddy who lives within 5 minutes of a TRU (Bastages did get some in). He picked up the last one and threatened to put it on Ebay if I didn't pick it up today. He's joking, but I'm not gonna take any chances.
Good luck to you guys still looking for one. These are a bitch to find.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I went to my small town target store around 6:45am this morning. To my suprise there were 20 people already lined up outside the store. I just left. Later in the morning after I did some yardwork I called and they said they got in 20 unitys and at open time 20 units were gone. NO LUCK HERE. Truthfully I didn't pre order this system because nintendo said that they would have plenty to spare for the holiday. No I don't blame this on nintendo!!! Oh wait yes I do.... They suprised alot alot of people with a great console that is definately no gimmick. And the future outlook to me is game developers will see this and start getting nintendo more supports. I see the Wii as the true next gen console. They are bringing back fun to videogames. PROPS TO NINTENDO!!!!
HI FIVE!!!!!!!!!!! Weeeweee waawaa Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment
