Re: Official Wii Discussion
Nintendo released the "Check Mii Out" channel (my Wii was glowing blue). It apparently lets you post as well as look at Mii's, along with grabbing them if you like them. I'm dl'ing now, so don't know for sure.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I finally got hold a Wii today and the guy at Best buy said I needed to get at least a 1 gig SD card as the onboard memory wasn't sufficient for saved games. He conned me into spending $45 on a 1 gig card and the remote sleeves and 2 straps. I plan on playing galaxy, Metroid and maybe 2 or 3 other games at the same time so I'll have maybe 5 saved games at one time so should I return the SD card or is it necessary.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Take that SD card back. You dont have ANY use for it right now. Five saves? Is that guy serious? He should be fired.
You can fit a TON of saves on the internal memory.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Thanx, that's what I thought because I could swear remembering that the WII memory was 512K so if the game saves took that much space an extra gig wouldn't make much of a difference. Actually the funny part is I just mentioned wanting to buy Mario galaxy and right away he mentioned the SD card just for that game.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
I hate those lying Best Buy bastards. Now that I getting my $47 buck back do you guys recommend the Wii play bundle with the extra remote since I need another remote?Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Definitely. The games on there aren't the greatest but it is only a couple dollars more than buying the remote by itself so you can't beat that deal.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Yes, the games aren't great, but there are 3-5 pretty entertaining games. It's worth the $10 for Tank Wars alone. Pool, fishing, hockey and the cow racing game are all pretty fun two player games. I only put the WiiPlay disc in once by myself, but I get some use out of it playing multiplayer.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
For the kids and adults alike you've got Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware, and Rayman Raving Rabbids (Zack & Wiki is supposed to be good too, but I haven't played it). For the adults there are two must haves (and depending on the kids' age, they may enjoy these as well): Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime III. More mature games that are fairly solid are Resident Evil 4 and Scarface. As for sports games, there's Madden, but I don't love it. And of course, you already have Wii Sports, which I still play with friends almost a year after picking up my Wii. Also, although Wii Play doesn't have much to offer, you may as well nab it if you plan on getting more controllers (which are essential).
As for accessories, I'd recommend getting some Wii points so you can make some purchases on the virtual console. A lot of people enjoy the classic controller for many of the old school nintendo and super nintendo games. And if you plan on playing any gamecube games, you may want to invest in a Wavebird controller.Comment

Re: Official Wii Discussion
Hey guys,
I'm considered ditching my play-asia component cables for the Nintendo first party ones, after hearing that the Nintendo ones may look a tad better. I know it's not a huge difference, but for 40 bucks, why not I guess.
By the way- if you've just bought a Wii, definitely pick up Zak and Wiki. Really unique puzzle solving game.
MLB Power Pros is my favourite baseball game of all time as well.Comment
