I love going on other websites and such and reading the comments. It's like Microsoft has found the cure for cancer. It's like everyone just forgot what Microsoft had done over the past month.... unreal. Everyone saying "Sony's DONE!" "Xbox One has won." It's ridiculous.
I'm not hating, I think it's good that people like us were able to send a clear message that consumers won't tolerate DRM, but I find these comments on these other websites laughable.
In my opinion, and I reinstate MY OPINION, I see this more of a business move than anything else. There's no way Microsoft could keep those policies intact without losing customers and ultimately, money. With Sony coming out at E3 and saying, "There will be no DRM on our platform." and pair that with the consumer backlash, Microsoft are only doing this because they had to. You can't sit here and tell me that after Microsoft had developed this elaborate DRM system that was built right into the console, that they were just willing to get rid of it just for the sake of it. They heard the cries of gamers and people alike on the internet and their hand was forced.
If you guys think Microsoft is doing this out of their own hearts, you guys are sadly mistaken. With that said, I will buy an Xbox One eventually, but a few years down the road, just like I did with the PS3. I've owned an Xbox 360 since 2008, and bought the PS3 in November 2011. I'll do the same for this generation, just in reverse.
Just my two cents.
