All I know is that if they brought out a new Jet Force Gemini somehow, I'd be near forced to give my money to MS.

Doubt that happens though. My guess is Banjo-Kazooie personally.

I'm glad there isn't one. Focus in the player and screen, if I want to look at a screen I can use the smart glass feature.

I like the name. It says that they aren't concerned with following the norm and calling it 720 or Xbox 3. 360 was given to tell gamers that they were at the center and have 360 degrees of entertainment. One to me tells me that they are aware of the scattered sources of entertainment (they use fragmented). But I like their philosophy behind the name.

What I don't like is the cloudy representations of these "exclusives" they speak of. We don't really know what deal they struck with EA Sports or the NFL and the whole "first to have DLC" is so tiresome. Microsoft's presentations always have this "ok, you can clap now...go ahead applaud what we just said..." feel. And the audience is always not sure why they should applaud.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

              Let me just say this.

The Kinect and other stuff mentioned gives me a bad feeling.

The same bad feeling I had about the auction house in D3 and the always-online of Sim City. Very few stuff in gaming gives me that bad feeling. I may have indifferent feelings, or think it will be crappy... but not a bad vibe like that.

The new XBox just throws that bad feeling off in spades.

                Funny, although games are important I'm more interested in;

1- How much is XBOX One going to cost?
2- How much is Live going to cost?
3- Do I have to pay Live for both XBOX 360 and One?
4- Does Voice Recognition identify the whole families voices when playing or watching TV?

                  Re: Xbox One

The name is god awful. You don't call a sequel system "One" after you had a system called Xbox 360 and one called Xbox.

I really think this was probably one of the worst showcases and all the updates that have came out. Microsoft having a used game fee, always online, etc. etc. where as Sony said PS4 isn't going to have that. I was thinking about doing the switch after my sour time with the PS3 but after what I've heard from both sides, yeah I'm not jumping ship, screw that.

Why did Microsoft have that stupid used game fee? Do they realize that friends can share games/hang out and one person brings over Halo since his friend doesn't have or what not. Now, both have to bring the "Xbox One" which is a huge hassle instead of just bringing a game case, which can easily fit in a backpack for carrying at school.

If anyone has seen Angry Joe's Rant on "Xbox One," it's roughly how I feel. Seriously, this conference made me facepalm so hard.

                  NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers
                  NASCAR: Ryan Newman

One day, Purdue Men's Basketball and Football will become relevant again.

                    Re: Xbox One

Reports of Xbox One's online requirements and used-game fees are no more than "potential scenarios" and not concrete details, Microsoft told Polygon via email.

"While Phil [Harrison] discussed many potential scenarios around games on Xbox One, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail," Microsoft told Polygon.

Well after digesting everything I have read today about the One, I will say that it looks nice and still enjoy my current Xbox and still plan to but all my sports games remaining this year for Xbox.

I didn't like hearing and reading you will at most points need a internet connection, even for single player games , makes no sense to me, what if I at some point say heck I don't wanna pay for my internet anymore, then I lose my Xbox One gaming. Sorry I read what I read and don't like that one bit..

I'm 100% on where I'm going next gen.

I do love the NFL fantasy stuff too, much don't understand MS at this point.

The name is fine. And many companies do this, look at the most recent iPad. It's just called iPad, although many of us, including myself, call it iPad 4.

The name "One" makes sense since they are trying to unify the entertainment center. And yes it seems quite weird now but in time you and everyone else will get used to it.

It sure as hell makes a lot more sense than Xbox 720 IMO

Well that pretty much turned out exactly how I expected it to.

Not sure if it really bothers me or not, though - it'll save me quite a bit of money, which is always a good thing. It'll be the first generation of systems since the NES era in which I won't purchase a new system, which will be weird.

It'd be nice if the offered a gaming only system... Here's a stripped down system that only plays the games and gives access to updates, demos, etc - and doesn't require all the other BS. I'd buy that.

So if the COD is coming out 11/5, then that would put X1 around the same time. I'm just guessing here, but that sounds right to me.

It doesn't - but I'm not going to support what they're doing with the system. Like I said - if they take out all the BS and just give me a system that lets me put in a disc and play it, then I'll buy it; just like I bought the XBOX and XBOX 360.
