Re: Xbox One
Unless you lose ownership of it when you give it to them. Then another question, can your friend then share it and so on? My bet, 1 share only with no give backs and nothing further.Comment

Re: Xbox One
At least it's a slightly smaller issue this time.
Speaking of which, I don't even have 10 family members playing Xbox, so I wonder if I can just add some random people who do use my Xbox a lot?Last edited by TracerBullet; 06-06-2013, 06:53 PM.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Xbox One
You won't see anything that is the point, just like the Verizon customers didn't!
Its not fear mongering, do some research on the patriot act, sopa, PIPA. Online monitoring is being pushed hard and they want people to just be nonchalant about it, "ahhh if they want to watch me eat Cheetos so be it", this is the responses they are looking for. Then your privacy slow disappears, which is directly tied to your constitutional right of privacy. This is border line political so I'll stop here, but my point is that the reason the always on kinect being a big deal is because of this very story above in relation to Verizon.
The National Security Agency and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.
The highly classified program, code-named PRISM, has not been disclosed publicly before. Its establishment in 2007 and six years of exponential growth took place beneath the surface of a roiling debate over the boundaries of surveillance and privacy. Even late last year, when critics of the foreign intelligence statute argued for changes, the only members of Congress who know about PRISM were bound by oaths of office to hold their tongues.
The technology companies, which participate knowingly in PRISM operations, include most of the dominant global players of Silicon Valley. They are listed on a roster that bears their logos in order of entry into the program: “Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, Apple.” PalTalk, although much smaller, has hosted significant traffic during the Arab Spring and in the ongoing Syrian civil war.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Good info about the XboxONE from IT professionals. It may be a little bias because some of these guys work for Microsoft but overall pretty fair assessment for M$ guys. I love this show, I listen to this it almost every week and was surprised when I seen they did an episode on the XboxONE, because they usually only do enterprise tech, very informative though.

Just because big brother is checking your Outlook email, and wondering why you sent that drunk email to Sally, doesn't mean they are watching you through Kinect.
Frankly, if you want to fight this issue, deciding between buying an xbone or PS4 is not the most effective way. Go out and actually do something real.

Re: Xbox One
I'd like to see publishers/developers budget for games that run the whole spectrum of the price range. Right now we get indie games at $15 and down, and if it's a disc based release from a big publisher it hits for $60. Surely we kind room for games that in between and bring back those B-Tier games we don't really see anymore.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I'm looking at this and it doesn't affect me really, but I don't love it. BUT I'LL SAY THIS:
If Microsoft is doing all of this because they're gearing up to re-tool Xbox Live as the new Steam and plan to have sales all throughout the year and just cut out the middle man (brick and mortar stores) then I am all for it and will buy an X1 at launch. A Steam Box is exactly what I want out of my next gen system, and I'd love for my Xbox to give that to me. Sure seems like it with all of the focus on the cloud and online needs.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Xbox One
I am a super XBOX fanboy, but that language is hilariously ambiguous and could be interpreted a variety of ways.
I think I am done wasting time on all of this next gen nonsense until the week of release and all the info is definite and crystal.Comment
