Re: Xbox One
I hear ya man. I don't have a lot of confidence when it comes to new console launches, but maybe there will be plenty to go around. We certainly shouldn't have to wait long, if at all, since we pre-ordered so early.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I think it comes down to what you do currently. None of the stuff that X1 is limiting i do today. I never game offline and i don't share or rent games. One thing i do like is how you can sign into any X1 console and instantly play any of your games. I just like the overall package better on X1 and the games are more my taste. I will get PS4 eventually because that's what i do, but X1 is the one i prefer.Comment

I'm just going to GS and preorder. I'd rather not have some delivery company abuse my box.Moderator

Re: Xbox One
It's interesting to me that it was MS who actually did it. Sony pushed so hard to make PS3 a Media Center while MS stayed true to the gamer with the 360 being much more focused on being a pure gaming console. If I would've guessed earlier this year on which of the two developers was placing this into their console, I sadly would have guessed Sony. It's surprising to me that it was MS and I do feel a bit for those who have been strictly X-Box over the years.. Really turned off by this as for budgetary reasons I did purchase alot of used games this generation (I did buy new as well but have my fair share of used titles). I would not be surprised if publishers/developers aren't silently rooting for Xbox 1's success with this model though. Companies like EA, Ubisoft, and others voiced their concerns about the used game market and how they felt they were getting screwed out of cash with the whole process with a big bullseye on GameStop(I heard these game companies get no cash from those resells-I apologize if I'm wrong). Heck, we get screwed when we take a game in for $25 trade and you see it on the shelf the next day for $55 lol. If I'm understanding this correctly MS is leaving it up to 3rd parties to decide if they want to lock down their games in this manner and they aren't charging companies extra to enable/disable this?
Is it true that PS4 adopted the Xbox Gold model and will charge a yearly pass to play online? No big deal to me as I do that already on 360 just curious. Cheaper price point and easy to understand used game protocol really is hurting X1 imo and helping PS4 but I was more impressed by the games I saw on display from them when compared to comp. Happy Gaming people..Last edited by NINJAK2; 06-11-2013, 09:38 PM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I used to work for one the two big companies and was a driver for the same. And depending on what kind of day one of those drivers is having could be rough for anyone's parcel.Last edited by DirtyJerz32; 06-11-2013, 10:22 PM.Moderator
