I'm on that wagon as well, I'll wait until we get something official; but this one of the major reasons I will never understand why people hate on another gaming company even if you're a fan of another. Competition results in nothing but goodness for us, the consumers.

Yeah that would be a great move.

I'm planning to buy both consoles at launch so saving $100 would be awesome news.

Is $399 really realistic though? I mean the PS4 is that price but they sell their camera separately, dropping $100 on your console that includes a camera would seem like a pretty bold move.

I saw the original page that stickskills linked when the article dropped yesterday but I didn't link it here because I've never heard of the site nor do I know how reputable they are.

Conversation has centred on bigger losses per unit sold versus loss of sales traction.

Someone had linked it at another site I post on.

We'll see but somehow I doubt it. Don't get me wrong it'd be great but it doesn't seem likely.

Now we're talking MS. That is pretty much the last wall they had up for me at this point. Now I'll just see how the consoles both run after release and make an informed decision then.

As of right now I've bounce around so many places canceling and reserving either consoles since E3. Right now I have Xbox one reserve on MS Store and PS4 at Gamestop. I've been a PS fan in the past when I was on the PS2 years ago. But since I've been on the 360. I have got use the controller and the company. Yes MS has it's faults and so does Sony. Both systems have things I like. But I love my achievements so much. So right now I'm just hoping MS will allow gamestop to take orders one more time. Because if they do then I will switch for an 8th time. It will be my last reserve. For now Ps4 will remain a reserve at GS until XB1 reserve be come open again. I want a system at midnight launch. Either it will be XB1 or PS4. I will get one or the other at a midnight launch in Nov. BTW it would be very nice if MS would suddenly drop the price of the system to 400$ with the kinect along with system. That would the final nail in Ps4 coffin for me. But even if I had to pay the extra 100$ I will still get XB1 if it comes open again for preorder.

I don't understand why it would be lowered to $400 when they have basically sold out of preorders at $500? That's giving away probably $500,000. Unless they get strong indications that it won't sell past launch, ala PS3 back in 2006.

IF it's true I'm thinking they know even if they drop 100.00, that 100.00 will still end up going towards another game, controller etc..
Plus the added hype that they dropped 100.00 would add (as evident in this thread alone) more sales.
