After inserting Madden (and starting the update download also)
9min 30sec and It was "ready to play"
19min 20sec and it was fully installed.

Eh...not really a price drop. That's a lot for a controller, still. Now $100 with a $30 trade in, thats the sweet spot. Unlikely to drop 50$ though.

Is not a lot for a controller..... The controller does a lot more then any other controller. if you are just getting it to use the same way you do all other controllers then save your money

If you want a superior controller that is going to allow you to customize your preference in any game to your liking and being a premium built item then 150 is nothing when scuff cost way more for just touching up the same old controller.

This is not going to drop to 100 with a credit for old controllers.

People should not want to get it just to say they got it....You either want a premium controller that can do it all or you stick with what you want and is cheaper on your wallet.

If it was to expensive it would not be sold out in stores everywhere and it would not be a reason many are trading in to get the elite bundle which is the only way to get it now.

Believe me the controller is more then worth the money at 150

at 120....Is a steal

Quick question, I have had my xbone since April or so, there is no need to trade it in on my part for an elite system. All I want is the controller. It's not like the elite version is faster, it's he same system but with a TB hdd. I'll get the controller on my own when its more avaible. My system runs very fast no issues at all. Maybe thats do in part that I have my internal hdd free of Everthing, my external is what all my games run off of. Also im 100% so Imo my system has zero stress of having to put disks in.

The Elite bundle console is different then the one you have.

It has 1tb hybrid drive which is different then the one on all other xb1 that are standard mechanical drives.

The difference is not night and day but games from disc installs quicker...Just as Sky how quick his Madden installed from disc

The hybrid drive is also a mechanical drive but with a solid state partition which recognizes all of your most used apps and games and loads them 20% faster and in game load times a bit faster.

The issue with the stutter on Fall Out reported by DF is not there on the elite due to the hybrid drive.

Waking up console from instant on mode is quicker as well.

if you have a solid state or solid state hybrid external on your normal xb1 then there is no need for this unless you just want the controller sooner then later.

I was one that said that no controller was worth 150.00
However I am pretty much eating my words and take it back.
I'm currently setting up the sensitivity of the sticks and remapping the back triggers for a setup for Madden that is more intuitive for me..

I may even throw back in the bottom 2 pads for the back once I get used to not hitting them.

I now own 2 Maddens and if I wasn't in the PS4 league I'd keep XBOX version over PS4 version for what the Elite controller adds to it.

I'll eventually get a FPS setup I like also.

Yea Sky the brain will register your back paddle use after a bit....I use one paddle to get my madden stiff arm game down lock

The controller app is fantastic though

I would only ever get it to utilize all of the customizations.... Buying it (at any price) to use it as a regular controller makes no sense at all.

$120 or twice the cost of what a normal controller costs is not a steal in my book.

I'm not debating all the uses and quality of adjustments you can make. There's just no way for me to justify $150 on a controller, regardless of it's qualification's. $100 is the sweet spot IMO and I would pay $100, but not more.

You can have all the opinions ya want on whether or not you think its worth it and think everyone and their brother should own one. Unfortunately you stating that doesn't make it a fact for everyone.

I'm glad you're enjoying it and are recommending it, even at full price. Other people have other monetary priorities and can't just throw unlimited funds at buying a new console / controllers every other week.

Well for me ... I just picked the right time to grab an X1..
I can't say whether I'd have spent 150.00 on just the controller or not... I'm glad though I don't have to make that decision as I probably wouldn't have..
As is though I have had time with it and am glad I have one.
