Crazy how time flies....hard to believe we're coming up on the next cycle already.

It's also pretty crazy how they (MS and Sony) have figured out how to come up with a market for all of these incremental "updates" and changes with the different consoles during the same generation. Definitely didn't foresee that a few years ago.

I disagree in regards to needing the stronger console. They don't. They just need better higher quality games. Power means nothing if your own studios aren't taking advantage of it to begin with. Also, the "winner" of every generation has always ben the weaker (or weakest) console. At the end of the day, it's all about the games. Even if Xbox 4 is stronger, it will be minimal. After all, both are using the exact same components and whatnot so how much difference will there truly be?

I disagree in regards to needing the stronger console. They don't. They just need better higher quality games. Power means nothing if your own studios aren't taking advantage of it to begin with. Also, the "winner" of every generation has always ben the weaker (or weakest) console. At the end of the day, it's all about the games. Even if Xbox 4 is stronger, it will be minimal. After all, both are using the exact same components and whatnot so how much difference will there truly be?

Power was the main reason why it blew MS out the water. Anybody who says exclusives is not correct because Sony had but one exclusive the first 2 years or maybe 2 at most

Xbox came out the more exclusives first but the fact that the bulk of gamers games are multi plat and ms had an inferior console along with the stigma of no lending games and kinect and 100 more hurt them but if price was the same at 400 with no kinect. The ps4 was still going to blow them out because it was viewed as the inferior console

It was not only until rumors of the more powerful X were coming that SOny fans decided it was about the games....THAT IS FACT

MS will never have better first party games over Sony...That is the case but MS does not care because they care about having the power and license with multi plats going into next gen as well as services with game pass.

Sure their first party titles will improve but they all will be on PC so its not really exclusive.

MS will never lose the power battle to Sony again and that is a good thing because as much as I love the ps4 exclusives. Not all of them but some of them. My money and time goes into multi plats. And I will go with the console that offers me the best experience there

I do not drop 2k or more on 4k tvs to feed it an inferior version. Neither do casuals

Good plan IMO, and I think these drop at least $50 by EOY, and this could be as low as $150 for Black Friday w/ games/services bundled.

Disagree in regards to PlayStation 4 being stronger. It isn't. Unless you want to exclude Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, Microsoft has the strongest console. I care about the exclusive games more than anything because that's why I buy the console. I don't buy any console for multi-platform games because I know I can play them on either brand's console.

As for Xbox 4 being stronger, I'll stick with my equal or minimally stronger prediction. Just have to wait and see.

The rumors on Reddit is that the next Xbox will be stronger. Microsoft learned their lesson with the 720p Xbox one launch debacle.

It’s because of this that Microsoft made a huge emphasis on 4k and “the world’s most powerful console” that’s when the Xbox x came out which is stronger than the ps4 pro. The power gap was a huge reason why many Xbox guys even jumped ship in the beginning. I see the next Microsoft console being stronger than the ps5 by 2 teraflops similar to the ps4 pro to the Xbox x.

I would tend to agree that MS will eat it a bit more on price/cost to have something that's better than PS5.

After This last fiasco that happened with being the weaker console, there is no way in the hell that's going to happen again, I'd bet some money on that one! I'm also willing to bet it will cost more than the PS5 as well.
