Between the price tag and the difficulty in getting the covers off and on, I think I'll either just get a black one (if they ever make one) or stick with white (assuming I ever actually get a PS5).

By the time they are readily available in March of 2078, you will probably already have the PlayStation Future Box 19.

I'm late to the party, but theoretically I've finally secured a PS5. I say theoretically because I'm in shipping limbo for the time being. Walmart selling PS5's they don't have is kind of odd logistically. At least it gets you a spot in line, I guess.

Let me also just add that Target's website is the embodiment of malicious compliance. What a **** show.

Might be in a similar position. I secured a PS5 for a work friend this past Monday from Walmart with an estimated date of January 3. No update so far on the order besides initially taking money on my account then putting back until it ships. Was hoping for an earlier delivery, but until it updates I have to assume another couples weeks.

Might be in a similar position. I secured a PS5 for a work friend this past Monday from Walmart with an estimated date of January 3. No update so far on the order besides initially taking money on my account then putting back until it ships. Was hoping for an earlier delivery, but until it updates I have to assume another couples weeks.

The 3rd is my ETA, as well. We're now approaching 10 days later and no movement yet. At this point, I don't anticipate it shipping until next week at the earliest.

I almost feel like it won't be until next year before I get a PS5. My local target told me they have PS5s in the back but couldn't sell it to me.

This is part of the problem, these stores are only allowing purchase online...which allows more opportunities for these dumb bots.

It's beyond frustrating.

Mines updated yesterday to Preparing and now it has shipped and will be here tomorrow. So my work friend will be excited to finally have it after looking for it for a year

Well... last week had a huge scare. PS5 has been vertical since launch day.. was unhooking it and tipped it over and fell off my entertainment center onto the floor. The side panel popped off and the console would not display an image, but did power on just fine.

Ended up having to get a new HDMI port put in and thankfully returned back to me safely with no issues, has been running great since its return. If anyone has to get a HDMI port replacement (quite common on PS5 I was told) it costs around $200 so be very careful plugging your console in and out, also was told the HDMI port is rather cheaply made.

Yeah it's frustrating

I finally landed an order on amazon this morning. I've been trying for about 6 months, but I refuse to pay some scalper even $1 over retai.

Have you subscribed to the nowinstock telegram channel? I almost landed one from bestbuy a couple of days ago, and that's how I managed to get my order in this morning. You need to get to it quickly whenever that notification comes though.
