      Two words: Black Friday.

This is the best time of year to find a deal on a tv.

As for the 1080p vs 720p...comes down to if you noticed a big difference between the two. If yes AND the money isn't a big deal, go 1080p. If not, save a few bucks and go 720p.

I would just go ahead and get a 1080p.....you can easily get a quality brand (samsung sharp toshiba sony) for under 2G's and still be in the 40+ range. If money is not an issue go for one of the 120hz Samsungs or the HDNA sony line....huge improvement for LCDs if you're a gamer and sportswatcher like myself...I'm a samsung whore myself but TOSHIBA is criminally slept on. Great combo of quality and value.

Oh, I also wanna add that first if you're going UNDER 40' get a 720p set. Saves alot of money. As far as the highdef DVD formats...WAIT...dont buy either yet. If you really MUST...get one of those HDA2's from walmart if you can find one..it's $99...same model we've been selling at BBY the entire 2007.

And PLEASE get a quality surge protector, screen cleaner, and please consider the warranty options you are provided with. TVs now are more of an investment. Peace and hit me up if you have more questions.

Thanks Kalon. Could you send me a link to one of the 120hz Sammy's? I'm a Samsung whore myself too, lol. My last tv was a 61" Sammy DLP 1080p.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

So I came home today and started flipping through the HD stations. Wow, my cable provider added 6 new stations. It's a small cable provider so I'm impressed. These stations were added:

                    TLCHD - The Learning Channel
                    SCIHD - Science Channel
                    TDCHD
                    APHD - Animal Planet
                    HISTD - History
                    HDT

I'm not sure what TDCHD and HDT are. I think TDCHD is Discovery Theater as Planet Earth is one of the shows on it.

What do you guys think about the Sony KDL52W3000? Circuit City has the TV on sale for
                        $2,649.99.

Whats the biggest difference between this TV, and the 52" XBR? There is definitely a price difference right now!

Sony TV = extremely overrated and over priced IMO.

And I own a Sony HDTV.

I think I've decided on a Sharp Aquos 46" LCD 1080p. Anyone have this tv?

I normally buy Samsung, but for the price, this is a nice tv from what I've seen.

If you was going to buy a set which one would you probably buy? I plan on buying a PS3 so I thought about buying a Sony TV to go with it.

Samsung makes the best HDTV's on the market IMO. I've done a ton of looking and browsing over the last year or 2, and I've found them to be the best, especially if you are planning on spending a lot of money like that.
