If I am going to buy an HDTV and I already have comcast digital cable, would I still need a set top box???

Comcast does offer HD-TV now, call them and see if it's available in your area.. if it is they would rent to you a special set-top box for your HD programming
if they don't, you can still get a OTA set-top box, and an antenna for your local channelsComment

it's possible for you to get the sat-c upgrade kit from directv...you'd have to install that third prong yourself, or pay someone to do it...or you can just get the oval dish that already has the third prong built in (easier) but it costs a little over $100, it may be cheaper now, i haven't checked recentlyComment

Maybe a little further, but more like you are close to being there yourself than watching a regular tv set.
Birdog, where can I find out about what you are referring to?Comment
