My original question was whether or not I should turn OFF the signals that I am not using on the Xbox. Meaning if all I am playing is a game that is in 480p, does it make sense to turn 1080i and 720p OFF in the Xbox dashboard. That question was answered, stating that the Xbox will recognize whatever signal it is receiving and automatically select the one it needs. Sooooo…I should just leave all three options turned ON.

Can you give me a list of games that I can RENT in order to test and see if I can see 780p? I am going to be real pissed off if I can't because 780p is what I need to take advantage of the BluRay Disks (High Definition Movies on DVD) I will be buying in the next 2 years!

Anyone know what will happen to Voom exclusive HD channels such as Playboy HD now that Echostar has bought them out? Will Dish Network make them their exclusives or will Direct TV go after them? This could be the beginning of the "HD Wars".

Charlie never said he'd pick up vooms exclusives. Actually they havent said anything at all. With that you wonder why a guy buys a 2oo million dollar satellite and wouldnt have any plans for it. I know him and Chuck Dolan both despise Murdoch, but who knows what will happen at this point..

I'll make sure I keep you updated on it when something breaks,so keep checking this thread if you see my name.

i couldnt go thru all these pages to find the answer so could some body help me with a hdtv selection

Which one should i get or which one is better:

1. LCD big screen(size 40 and up)

2. LCD 16:9(size 32)

3. any plasma

they all are hdtv I just dont know which one to get i put plasma last becasue the guy at the store says it has limited time like 55,000 hours even though that still adds up to 21 years at 6 hours per day

so just let me know what you think
