Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Yeah, I just got the email alert for that too. I clicked on the link but didn't find a seller at that price. Lowest one was $1305.This seems like one hell of a deal. It says they are temporarily sold out, but you could still order at this price and wait. 2 hdmi, 2 component, PIP, memory card readers, 10,000:1 ratio. Sounds pretty good to me.Comment

It'll look better but don't get your hopes up that you'll be blown away. It's comparative to a video game system going from composite to s-video. Definite difference but not "OMG!!" type difference either.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

What is everyone's thoughts on using hdmi cables with the hd box? Right now I'm using the component cables that came with the Rogers (Toronto) box but am just a bit curious as to what the digital cables would do. I've heard that HD will look better but SD might take a dip- I'd be totally fine with that.

Of course, price is an issue. The big boys like Best Buy obviously rip you off with $100+ cables. If I can find a cheaper one somewhere, do you guys definitely see the difference?Comment

get an HDMI cable from monoprice.com and you will see a difference, at least i did on my television. I think I only paid $7 or $8 for my cable too. What is everyone's thoughts on using hdmi cables with the hd box? Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

Stupid question got my hdmi cable today hooked everything up looks great! My question is a wide screen dvd should still keep it letter boxes when displayed on a hdtv right? A wide screen dvd won't "fill" the whole hd 32 inch screen right?

 nevermind I found out my answer!Last edited by triplej96; 03-21-2007, 06:18 PM.-JoshComment
