lol...I think the one from The Video Game was the best with Mya...they should have made that one a movie...Everything or Nothing....

Overall as a movie though, no one should say this film was boring, it was an amazing Bond film and one of the best I've seen....I mean just from the first 0 to 53 mins, it was pure adrenaline rushed...and action packed and kept going for over 2 hours plus....

I was going to mention this it's my #2 but what prevented me from mentioning it is the fact that it wasn't used at the beginning of the film but rather at the end.

It was used in the middle.
The theme song for OHMSS is an instrumental. My favorite and one of the many reasons this films stands alone at the top.

Bump. I saw it again last night. I cannot wait for the DVD to come out because I still want to see it again. The last time I saw a movie more than once was when Batman Begins came out. Anyway, I still think Mathis told Le Chiffre about the tell and not Vesper. After watching it again, I still feel torn on how I should feel about Vesper dying. I don't know if I should be glad or feel a bit saddened by her passing. Yes, she was using Bond to help her boyfriend, but I think she actually cared for him. Anyway, I can't wait for the next one and I hope they pick up with Bond's interrogation of Mr. White.

I watched the movie and was left with a daze in regards to how the plot unfolded and who were the key villains and their connections...seemed like the plot didn't flow nor did it try to establish a developing storyline at any point. Just bunch of terrorists who needed to be wiped off..and in between each villain, a 10 minute 007 action scene of course.

                    Heh....

There's a story but most of it is thrown in the first half of the movie and then they let the momentum of the action and poker tournament plot take hold.

The Bond series needs to change. They need to make it more dark and 'smart'. Forget the gadgets, make Bond human and add nudity.

Er, I thought this movie was "smart". Bond is never going to be R rated. The series has never been a true super blockbuster franchise. The movies do very well internationally and domestically here in North America but it doesn't knock any socks off.

If you made it R rated you shut out the younger demographic which the Bond series is trying to cater to these days. Also they really de-emphasized the gadgetry in this film which was a huge relief to me as it got WAAY too overboard with miracle gadgets to save Bond's arse.

                          Completely agree.

I loved the movie, it's a shame it's not going to come out on HD-DVD though.

I definitely thought this movie was darker and smarter than the past few Bonds. I just hope they maintain this tone for the rest of Craig's Bond movies, and they don't make it gadget-heavy again. Bond felt more like a cartoon in Brosnan's movies after Goldeneye, so I prefer if they keep it light on the gadgets and more on Bond going toe-to-toe with the villain. This movie had the personal touch that was lacking in the later Bond movies of the Brosnan era.

I couldn't disagree more. There was most definitely a story, it's just that it wasn't typical in the "MegaBadGuy tries to take over the world" vein. In fact, I think it's pretty unique (as is the book) in the fact that the main plot exists only because LeChiffre screws up. He loses his client's money and, instead of being motivated to dominate the world, he's motivated solely to save his own @ss.

Just saw this yesterday afternoon and loved it. Not ready to anoint Craig as the best Bond but he's a solid 2nd in my book behind Connery and I think he can take him over in future releases. I thought the story was great developing the background of 007 as far as the type of Bond you see in later movies (Connery, Moore, etc.) An example would be the Vesper Lynd portion providing a great lesson to 007 as M mentions at the end of the movie. Now you know why he doesn't trust anyone. I liked all of that backgound development.

I'm a little late but I just saw this movie today and it was freakin' amazing.

Craig was terrific as Bond, the action was very tense and even the non "action" scenes were tense as well - for instance the "poison" scene. Not really an action scene, but incredibly tense, even though you know the outcome anyway.

I can't wait for the DVD release, mainly becauseI want to see it again.
