Just read about half of Hawkeye #17 and could not stomach anymore... what a stupid story. An issue of a Christmas special cartoon?!? Regardless of the allegory it painted, I didn't need to read this book and felt like it was just a waste of paper. The creative team here has drawn out this Bro Gang story for far too long and is treading water by adding in the Kate Bishop stories. I don't think we'll get a Clint Barton Hawkeye issue until another 3 months!!!??? (unless the double-ship between 18-20)

Hawkeye 18-20 features Kate Bishop on the covers of each issue.

A shipping snafu caused that problem as the Christmas issue was supposed to ship around um, Christmas. So I won't give them too much grief over that. I do think the Bro Gang storyline has been decompressed to hell but I like the atmospherics. As for the Kate Bishop stuff? I like it a lot especially since she seems to imagine Peter Falk as Columbo being her guardian angel LOL!

                BUMP

Anyone reading Batman Eternal? It's pretty damn awesome in my books. The whole thing started off with a bang and now it's just gearing up for some real dark and gritty stuff. Sure, a lot of the elements so far are things we've seen many times in Batman's history but seeing it all in a weekly format with some great talent at the helm is pretty unique.

                Spoiler

The only knock on this is that the lynchpin for this entire series brings up the ugly problem of just what the hell is canon with Batman these days. I'm just going to enjoy the ride for now though and hope some things get clarified.

Marvel Announces the Death of Wolverine: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/...h-of-wolverine

The fact that Marvel have been planning to kill off Wolverine has been one of the worse-kept secrets in comics lately. Writer Paul Cornell already stripped Logan of his healing factor at the end of Wolverine Vol. 5. And with Cornell currently prepping a storyline called "Three Months to Die" for June, it seems the writing is on the wall.

And today via Entertainment Weekly, Marvel confirmed that Wolverine's days truly are numbered. True to its title, "Three Months to Die" will lead into a mini-series called The Death of Wolverine. This four-issue project will be written by the superhumanly prolific Charles Soule and illustrated by Steve McNiven (who previously tackled the Ol' Canucklehead in the Old Man Logan storyline). The Death of Wolverine will ship weekly throughout the month of September.

“For a long time, no matter who Wolverine was battling, he’s been the eternal victor,” editor Mike Marts told EW. “He almost always comes out on top. Now he finally comes up against an adversary that he cannot win against, he cannot fight. What does that mean for this character who’s been around for hundred years?”

Neither Marts nor Soule are being coy about the fact that The Death of Wolverine really will result in Wolverine's death. Marts said, “You’re gonna be entering into a world without Wolverine. That affects not only his teammates, but also the Marvel Universe at large. We’ve got a lot of things in the works already.” Meanwhile, Soule said, “I hope that when people finish it, they’ll feel like he died in a way that was true to him.”

Marvel will be revealing more about the project at their "Death of Wolverine" panel at C2E2 this Sunday afternoon. IGN Comics Editor Joshua Yehl will be on hand to cover that and other key announcements from the convention. Until then, let us know your thoughts on a Marvel Universe without Wolverine, and whether you think this development is a permanent one, by posting in the comments section below.

So over/under on resurrected by Spring? I don't see him staying dead very long and wouldn't be surprised if the Death of Wolverine leaves him actually alive and is more along the lines of how dead Wolverine was in Old Man Logan... a pacifist and no longer really active in the super hero community.

Bet his last words are something along the lines of 'im comin Jean'

Really hoping original sin is surprinsingly good, my expectations and enjoyment level with Marvel comics (which is all I typically read/buy) are so low that I even bought a DC book this week - interested in the new Doomsday arc.

With the way the whole death of Peter Parker was handled I say six is about what theyll do. Theres usually a big x-men event and I'm sure for sales theyre gonna want Logan a part of it.

I don't read the news and such so I didn't know about the Death of Wolverine project but you could tell there was going to be something more to Wolvie just losing his healing powers. It'll be interesting to see how they pull it off. I happen to like the Wolverine character when he's written well.

Haven't read 3 yet but have enjoyed 1 and 2. Like you said, nice creative team and all, and seeing the end at the beginning was cool but I cannot say I am overly impressed. Batman has sort of run dry since the Owls storyline IMO.

yea with how that was handled I would be surprised if Logan is not resurrected in a matter of months.

Killable was great and got me really interested in the character, but the story since has been meh. I wonder what this does for Savage Wolverine, because I don't think that title has Wolvie without his healing factor.

Yeah Killable was awesome but the current story arc is just not my cup of tea. I'm basically reading it to keep up with what's going on. Savage Wolverine was designed for creative teams to write stories out of continuity so I can see that title continuing without any effect.
