Yeah I'm going to try and reconnect with green lantern at least during convergence, it's been a mess since Geoff Johns left IMO.

I think the art has been great and some of the stories have been good from the current run but its just been too many of these cosmic wars....its been overkill....

I stopped reading the GL books because it was indeed overkill with all the cosmic stuff. I'd like a story that's more grounded for once. Actually, i'd like to see an old school quieter story arc in all of the books just for once.

Anywho, I read Batman #39 and I agree with JBH3 about it. AWESOME READ. I haven't read my Marvel books so I can't do my COTW yet but I wanted to say something about some of the bat related books. Arkham Manor, Gotham by Midnight and Gotham Academy all have extremely unique art. Academy reminds me of some Japanese animation while "Midnight' has this eerie, scratchy, weird look to it that really amplifies the horror aspect of the book while Arkham Manor has a pulpy feel to it.

I gotta commend the people who make the decisions for the art teams because the art has been impeccable. In fact, all the Bat related books have a fresh artistic look to them that simply jumps off the page. It's like DC deigned to have their best artists on those books and it shows.

Is the Mulitverse as good as it is interesting? I was reading an article about Morrison's Nazi Superman that sounded really interesting to me.

Its really a fun book. Its essentially all one shots which tie into a larger story. You'll really like it....the Overman (Nazi Superman) one you are referring to was really good and drawn by Jim Lee.

COTW: Hands down Batman #39. It feels like it's going to lead to a very satisfying and game changing ending. I loved the end of the issue the best which I won't spoil but I will say, even in the darkest hours Batman has a plan even if it isn't the greatest one ever.

Just started a book called God Is Dead. From the first issue I gather all the gods from different deities have returned to earth to reclaim it. I've also been introduced to some scientists who I assume are atheist who are looking to battle the gods.

This could and should be an interesting read. Has anyone read it? Did you like it?

I've gone back and started reading the current volume of Avengers starting from issue #1 via the Marvel Unlimited app. Its really a great read and Jerome Opena's art is fantastic.

I refuse to allow this thread to hit the 2nd page!

This week I'm grinding to catch up with Batman. I was reading all the other "extra stuff" but now I'm just trying to catch up to this glorious #39 you guys were speaking about.

Starting Zero Year- Secret City today and should be finished today. Already read The Joker: Death of the Family and I'm certain I'm not missing much skipping over Batman's DOTF. About to google a synopsis for it just in case.

Also I can't wait until Wednesday for this new Injustice (#11) to drop. I was told they are making a Year 4 but I don't know how they will work it as it seems like they set it up to end this year.

And I didn't finish the God Is Dead books (yet). Too much jumping around and not enough character development. I went from having an awesome feeling about it to not caring what happens. Maybe if I go back to it after some time I'll find the spark.

My brother lent me the deluxe editions of Fables 1 and 2. After playing The Wolf Among the universe really drew me in so I'm really looking forward to diving in.

Spider-Woman #5 was really interesting (I like that some of the spin offs of the recent Spidey event are turning into regular series) was quite good. Obviously Jessica Drew has a new costume and status quo now which I kind of like. It's basically her being street level and taking on a case that involves C list and below villains forced to do things in order to get their loved ones back from some nefarious big bad. I also like that the book has Ben Urich (one of my favorite side characters though I hate that they've taken away the smoking and really crusty old guy look they had for him) and Spider-Woman teaming up on this caper.

I'll be interested to see how the rest of this plays out.

The funky thing about injustice is we know how it ends, since it's leading up to the videogame. The videogame if it was a comic would be year six.

Year 4 is due to start this spring... The latest challenge to Superman's reign? The gods themselves.

I actually beat Injustice drunk at 3am one weekend and I don't have a clue what happened. Only proof that I found of the night was that I streamed it on twitch haha.
