That costs money. Right now, they are making money... in record numbers. Why make drastic changes?

Because perhaps people won't buy the DVD if they thought it was the same crap that they saw in theaters. I mean, they went because they wanted to see the movie, not because they knew how they would think about it leaving the theater.

Nah, look at even really bad movies, they still sell like crazy on DVD. No matter what, Spidey 3 will be the biggest selling DVD of the year, bank on it.

Then, about a year or 2 later, Spidey 3.1 will be released with the deleted or added footage.

It looks cool, but there is something really funny about. It reminds me of the old Spiderman on the kid show Electric Company. It was a show like Sesame Street. They had Spiddy on there, but it was cheesy! lol

Saw the movie again tonight and watched it from a different angle. Looking at it more from the comics and now my rating drops to a C.

I know Raimi said he doesn't like Venom but come on. It burns me up inside when Brock/Spider-man met at the construction site and Spider-man says "Brock?!", and Brock says something along the lines of Spidey senses tingling. What in the hell... whatever happened to "There is no Brock, we are know as Venom now."

Also Brock/Venom referring to himself as me and I was really disappointing. Such minor details but as a Venom fan it ticks me off. Among a lot of other things.

Thought so.

Gotta love everyone getting so up-in-arms about it this time.

They have a point though. It was forced and didn't look natural at all...

Think of it this way: if the scene doesn't make you go "wow, that's great" (think the ending shot with Peter, MJ, and you know who, with the sun in the backdrop) and instead makes you go "aww c'mon!" then there's a problem.

And THAT'S exactly why I said they put too much in this film. Where was the struggle of Venom and Brock? No reference to 'us' or 'we?' Hell, he never once called himself Venom. NOT ONCE. You can't really call him Venom b/c of that. Raimi ignored it completely.

And what about Venom's claim of innocence? "We were innocent once..." No real worry over others... just a crazed lunatic wanting to kill Peter, only a part of the Venom/Brock persona. The Venom character in the film looked awesome... but that's about it. I don't understand how anyone can feel the movie justified how deep a character he is.

The movie wasn't as bad as some of you are makin it out to be. Definietly not as good as 1 and 2 but its way way way better than X-men 3 was and is still one of the best comic book movies out.

3/5 stars for Spidey and the gang.

About Carnage amd Lizard......hummm Lizard can't hold a movie on his own, and the way they treated Venom doesn't give me high hopes for Carnage who isn't no where as cool as Venom. However if Sam Raimi actually wants to deliver a good story, then it might be great.

It was disappointing when you compare them to the previous films. The pacing of the previous films are immensely better than the third.

And I completely disagree with the Lizard comment. The Lizard could hold his own EASILY, much the same way Octavius held his own. You develop his character and there's so much you can do. An example:

Peter develops a bond with his professor Curt Connors, to the point where he is his protege. You expand on Dr. Connors recent experiments on regeneration because of his arm accident. Connors stumbles upon something, thus turning him into the Lizard. Spidey fights the Lizard, not knowing it's his mentor... then he finds out... a great battle ensues... all while throwing Harry in the mix.

It can go on and on. I like what they did with Sandman but this would have fit better. Sandman should've been given his own film. Such a great character crammed into that mess.

I will say this: Franco held his own as the New Goblin. I thought he was FANTASTIC. A shame he wasn't more of a focal point of the film. Him and Maguire's on screen chemistry was exactly what would have made this film better. You truly believed they were life long friends.

Plain and simple this film should have been 2 films entirely and they should of cut down on the lame forced comical parts.
