I think any man would appreciate the sex in the movie. It's not out of place and done quite tastefully. The girl (Lena Headey) was pretty good looking as well.

Also, I think absolutely anyone (especially fans of graphic novels) would LOVE this one scene in the movie. It's literally like flipping the pages of a graphic novel and seeing it unfold is just, WOW.....

I have to comment on how some reviewers are way off about the movie though. It's not meant to be historically accurate, it's meant to be accurate based on the graphic novel which is based on history with some added myth and coolness. This isn't Gladiator, THIS IS SPARTA! It's not drama, it's action done in a very attractive way. Quite simply, any ACTION movie will be a bit of a letdown after seeing this.

I plan on seeing this a 2nd time, it's too damn good.

My Impressions: (I'll try to keep them spoiler free, but if you are an absolute stickler for purity then you probably shouldn't read them):

            Anyway.....
OH MY ****ING GOD!!!! What a movie! It blew my mind. The more I think about it the more awesome this movie has become. You really need to see this in a movie theater to get the full effect of it. I love how in the fighting scenes they mixed high speed with slower speeds. I'll have more impressions in the morning once I come down from the high of this movie.

The High speed and low speed has to do with having 3 cameras side by side of each other, so when it speeds up or slows down it goes to the next take but it'll look like one take the whole time. Awesome camera work, i can't wait!

I am glad Frank Miller is really getting his props. I been a fan since Dare Devil 156 or was it 158. I hope they make Ronin or Dark Knight Returns on the big screen.

Frank Miller said he was going to do "The Spirit" movie next and the producer of sin city really wants to get Ronin out as well. I

You know what would be great for Dark Knight if if they wait about 10-15 years from now when Christian Bale is about 50 and make the movie when he's old.

I enjoyed the film.. but I just feel there is a but. I don't know what that but is though.. I just feel like it was lacking. Maybe it just wasn't that deep.. but obviously that wasn't the focus of the film.

The aspect I enjoyed most was the manner in which it was filmed. The whole Sin City feel I just can't say enough about. In some shots the frames look really grainy.. just awesome. I'm sure this one will go over well with the OS audience. I give it an 8/10.

"The Spirit" as in Will Eisner's The Spirit? I dunno if i'd want Miller touching that. I think he'd make it a little TOO dark. Even though the Spirit was a rough and tumble character there was enough humour in it to keep it from being too dark and violent.

I'm afraid Miller would make it too depressing.

Yea, I should've been more clear. I was considering going with my 15 yo son and not sure if I wanted to screen this first. Your comment helped though, thx.

I was planning on seeing the 10:20 showing of Reno 911 with a friend last night, but then saw a midnight showing for 300...

                                Wow

Whoever plans on going, it's well worth it. The action is top notch, the camera-work, special effects, are all sick.

It moves a little slowly in a part or two, but then it goes right back to action.
